(Clearwisdom.net) On the July 12, 2008 in the city center of Dresden, Falun Gong practitioners held an activity to support the Million Signatures campaign calling for an end of the CCP persecution of Falun Gong before the Beijing Olympic Games. People eagerly came to sign, condemning the persecution.
An assistant to the Minister of the State of Saxony passed by and signed the petition. He had a conversation with practitioners about China's human rights record. He showed great attention after hearing that the CCP harvested organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
One lady said, "The persecution of Falun Gong still continues?!" She was sad to hear that the persecution has now lasted over nine years.
Two senior citizens from Taiwan who have lived in the Czech Republic for the last seven years came to Dresden on tour. They signed the petition and said that they noticed many people practicing Falun Gong when they went back to Taiwan. Falun Gong has spread very widely in Taiwan, which they rightfully see as a good thing. They expressed that the democracy in Taiwan is a mirror to be shown to people in Mainland China. Unlike what the CCP tells the people in Mainland China, they wouldn't die without the CCP.
A German girl who lived in Zejiang, China for two years and speaks fluent Chinese stopped by. She had just returned to Germany. She said that in China there were many people who were not happy with the CCP. But they only talk to friends and family privately. Speaking publicly like in Germany is not possible. She showed her interest in Falun Gong, for she heard many deceived people say bad things about the group in Mainland China. She wanted to know what Falun Gong was. She stayed in front of the information desk for a long time, read lots of material and listened to practitioners' detailed explanation. At last, she said: "Now I am very clear, I support you."
A man at first shouted: "I will never sign. I hate signing my name," but when he was told why he was being asked to sign; about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong and the escalation of the persecution before the Olympic Games, he said, "Well, for human rights and for you, I will sign my name this time."
Another young man listening to music with earphones passed by our location. He took off the earphones when he saw practitioners kindly speaking to him and said, "Sorry, could you say that again?" He later happily signed the petition.
