(Clearwisdom.net) Recently many practitioners in our area were harassed, taken into custody, or had their homes ransacked by police. It had a negative impact on our local activities for saving sentient beings, and caused us some losses.
The evil seizes every opportunity to interfere with our cultivation and our activities to validate Dafa. However we can deny the old forces' arrangements if we set aside human attachments and concepts and keep our thoughts and actions righteous at all times. The few instances below are testament to this and show that we are able to follow the path laid out for us by Teacher even under situations that seem very dangerous.
In May of this year the Olympic torch passed through our area, and the Party used the excuse of protecting the torch relay to persecute practitioners. A score of policemen, including 610 Office personnel, forcibly entered an elderly practitioner's home. They showed her an arrest warrant and said they were going to take her away. The practitioner snatched the warrant, tore it up, and said to the police, "There's no way I will go with you. This isn't the first time you've tried to do this to me."
The practitioner thought to herself, "I will follow Teacher's arrangement, and will not listen to you." She silently asked Teacher for help and sent righteous thoughts, while telling the police the facts about Falun Gong. "You cannot force people to change their hearts," she said to them. "Dafa is benevolent, and will offer salvation to all beings, including you." The stand-off lasted until 9 p..m, when the police finally left.
The practitioner continued to send righteous thoughts to clear away the evil's persecution of local practitioners. She resolved that all of those policemen's bad thoughts towards Dafa needed to be cleared away.
There is another instance of an elderly practitioner fighting off the persecution with righteous thoughts. This practitioner was returning to her hometown before the May 1st holiday. She packed some informational materials about Falun Gong to give to her friends and relatives. However a group of police stopped her and her husband on the way to the train and indicated they would be conducting a body search. Undaunted, she said loudly, "Falun Dafa is great," while sending righteous thoughts to clear out the evil persecution. "If the police dare to search me for the materials," she thought, "I will send forth righteous thoughts to fix them on the spot and make them immobile."
She said to the police, "I am looking at each one of you. You are persecuting good people." The police tried to hide from her. With Teacher's help, the couple safely boarded the homebound train and brought the truth-clarifying materials to people in their hometown who were predestined to receive them.
I recall that in 2002, a practitioner from northeastern China told me a story. Practitioners were being viciously persecuted at the time. One elderly practitioner had been dragged to the police station, where the officers tried to compel her to slander Dafa. "Every punctuation mark in Teacher's book is Truth," she said to the police. Later the policeman who arrested her went upstairs. The practitioner thought, "I will follow you wherever you go, and I will send forth righteous thoughts to clear away the evil behind you." So she went upstairs and followed the policeman around. Finally the officer got tired of her and told her that she could go home. "I was at home and comfortable before you dragged me here," she said. "If you want me to go home, you need to give me a ride." The policeman could do nothing but drive her home.
Dafa must be respected and cultivation is a serious matter. We cannot be arbitrarily taken away and persecuted. True, we can't avoid having attachments and omissions in our cultivation, but even if we come across some trouble because of these shortcomings, we should have righteous thoughts. No matter how bad the "danger" seems to be, it has come about because of our attachments. Who could possibly affect us fundamentally? The more dangerous the situation seems, the more we need to think about what Teacher wants. We need to completely settle our mind and let Teacher arrange whether we live or die. Then, whatever danger we are facing will be dissolved by the benevolence of Dafa.
Faced with the persecution that has recently come about, we are looking closely at ourselves and reflecting on the situation. We have found that the key problem is inadequate Fa study and lack of steadfast faith in Teacher. Fa-study is just so important. When our heads are filled with Dafa, then even if our loopholes are momentarily taken advantage of and the police become involved, our thoughts and our words will be benevolent and in line with Dafa, which will dissolve the evil instantly. We can also use the powers that Teacher has bestowed upon us to clear it away. When the evil that is behind him is eliminated, will a policeman, an ordinary person, still be capable of persecuting a powerful and benevolent Dafa disciple?
