On April 14, 2008, Mr. Zhang Lijun was illegally brought to court in the Development Zone in Langfang City. The police officers deceived his family by claiming that Mr. Zhang would be released as long as he gave up his belief.

3. [Jining City, Shandong Province ] Three Falun Gong Practitioners Illegally Arrested
On the morning of April 14, 2008, 20-year-old practitioner Mr. Hao, living in Xianying Community in Zhong District, Jining City, and Ms. Hao, who is about 40 years old, went to Liying Town in Rencheng District to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. They were reported to police by villagers. Ms. Hao was taken to Liying Town Police Station. The same morning, Mr. Hao and another practitioner, Mr. Li, about 60 years old, went to the police station to request Ms. Hao's release. Police officers then detained the two men. At about 5 p.m. the same day, the police officers searched the three practitioners' homes and seized their computer and printers.

4. [Da'an City, Jilin Province ] Authorities of Huiyang Street Police Station Illegally Arrest Practitioners Under Pretext of Security for Olympic Games
On April 14, 2008, police officers from the Huiyang Street Police Station arrived at the home of practitioner Ms. Yang Mei and Ms. Sun Yanxiu, arrested them, and searched their homes under th pretext of security for Olympic Games. Meanwhile, other practitioners were also harassed.

On April 11, 2008, Ms. Wang Shuqing and her husband were illegally arrested by police officers. Their home was also searched, and their computer and other properties were seized.

On April 1, 2008, Ms. and Mrs. Hong, Falun Gong practitioners living in the Lotus Garden in the Development Zone in Dalian City, were illegally arrested from home.
On the morning of April 2, 2008, police officers broke into the Fuyou Property Company and arrested Mr. Xie, who is about 30 years old.
7. [Hubei Province ] A Couple Practitioner from Laohekou City Arrested in Deng County, Henan Province
On April 7, 2008, Mr. He and his wife, 30 year-old practitioners from Laohekou City, Hubei Province, were arrested while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials in Deng County, Henan Province. At present, they are detained in Deng County Detention Center. On April 8, 2008, police officers of Laohekou City searched Mr. He and his brother's homes.

It has been learned that Ms. Ye Chunyan, Mr. Li Nan, and Mr. Lin Tianqing, practitioners from Kunming City, were arrested in Fumin County and are detained in the Fumin County Detention Center. Their families have been prohibited from visiting them.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Female Falun Gong Practitioner Arrested on Train to Xifeng City
On April 12, 2008, a female practitioner from Shenyang City was arrested on a train to Xifeng County from Shenyang City. She was taken to Hailar City.
10. [Laohekou City, Hubei Province ] Mr. Li Shirong Arrested at Home
On the afternoon of April 11, 2008, Mr. Li Shirong , a 61-year-old practitioner from Laohekou City, was arrested at home by local police officers. At present, he is detained in the No. 1 Detention Center in Laohekou City. His family has requested his release.
11. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province ] Practitioner Mr. Luo Wen Harassed Once More by Police Officers
On April 14, Mr. Luo Wen from Huangshi City found strange footprints in his home again. Since it had been raining, the footprints were obvious. He was compelled to leave his home. On March 16, March 21, April 11, and April 14, 2008, thugs pried open his door and broke into his home. They broke in after his daughter went to school and before his wife returned from work.
12. [Hebei Province ] Guantao County Officials Set Up an Inspection Station "for the Olympic Games" and Arrest Three Practitioners
Authorities of the Guantao County Police Department set up a inspection station at the intersection of I-106 and I-139, allegedly because of the Olympic Games. On April 1, 2008, police officers arrested three practitioners from Henan Province under the pretext of inspecting their identifications. At present, the three have been detained in the Guantao County Detention Center.
13. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province ] Supplementary Information on the Arrested Practitioners from Jiuzhai Township
On April 9, 2008, Mr. and Mrs. Yang Xingcai from Xipengwu Village, Jiuzhai Township, Mengyin County, were arrested. At present, Mr. Yang Xingcai is detained in the Mengyin County Detention Center. His wife, Ms. Ju Fangling, is detained in the Yinan County Detention Center.
Mr. Xu Zhidong's wife from Beimozhuang Village, Jiuzhai Township, is detained in the Yinan County Detention Center.

14. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province ] Mr. Liu Yang and His Mother Forced to Leave Home; His Father Arrested
On April 3, 2008, police officers of the Yongqing County Police Department, the Yangmazhuang Township Police Station, and the Niutou Town Police Station in Gu'an County broke into Mr. Liu Yang's home in Nanwangqiying Village, Niutou Town and used rope to tie up his mother. His father argued with the officers and cut off the ropes so his mother escaped. His father was illegally arrested and detained.
Mr. Liu and his mother were forced to become destitute and homeless. Their crops have been left unattended.
15. [Sichuan Province] Supplement to Arrested Practitioners in Numerous Counties
On December 26, 2007, Mr. Chen Zhixuan and Mr. Yang Dingzhong from Xinglong Town, Yuechui County, were arrested and detained in Yuechi County Detention Center. Mr. Chen became unconscious and extremely emaciated due to brutal mistreatment. His elderly mother, his only family member, was critically ill and left uncared fpr.
On September 7, 2007, Mr. Tang Zhong and Ms. Huang Chaofeng, practitioners from Wusheng County, were arrested and taken to a forced labor camp and subjected to brutal mistreatment.
Mr. Liu Yougui is still detained in the Wusheng County Detention Center. Ms. Liu Gaoju, Dr. Cai, Mr. Ju Jianming, Ms. Duan Shiying, Mr. Su Bin, and Mr. Yu Xinfei have been sentenced to serving their sentences outside the prison under surveillance. They only have a small living allowance. Their freedom is restricted, and they have to go to the local police station to sign their names every Monday.
Mr. Wang Fanzheng, an art teacher at the Pengnan Town No.2 Middle School, Pengxi County, was illegally arrested many times and subjected to brutal mistreatment in a local detention center just because he is a Falun Gong practitioner. At present, he is detained in the mental hospital in Suining City. He was persecuted until he suffered a nervous collapse and became emaciated.
16. [Xinmin City, Liaoning Province ] Mr. Zhao Shouzhu Released But His Condition Is Critical
Mr. Zhao Shouzhu from Xinmin City was released from detention for medical treatment. On April 14, 2008, he was picked up by his sister and returned home. However, due to serious persecution, his condition is critical.

At about 9 a.m. on April 14, 2008, 68-year-old Ms. Xie Ailian and her husband , 72-year-old Mr. Zhai Xianhai, from Donga County were reported to the police while they were distributing material with the truth about Falun Gong. As a result, they were arrested by police officers from the Yaozhai Police Station. Afterwards, their home was searched. At present, they are detained in the Donga County Detention Center.

19. [Shenze County, Hebei Province ] Ms. Mi Gaixin Sentenced to Three Years Imprisonment
Around May 1, 2007, Ms. Mi Gaixin from Hou Village, Shenze County, was arrested. On April 2, 2008, the Political and Judiciary Committee, the Court, and the prosecutor in Shenze County sentenced her to three years of imprisonment and issued a letter. The letter was directly issued by the intermediate court, and her family was prohibited from appealing to a higher court.
20. [Guangdong Province ] Authorities of Suishui Women Forced Labor Camp Detained Ms. Ye Yongfeng Past the End of Her Term
On April 14, 2005, Ms. Ye Yongfeng, Futian District, Shenzhen City, was arrested by police officers in Nanshan District. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor and taken to the Third Group of the First Ward of the Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp. Her term is over, but the guards refuse to released her since she refuses to give up her belief. They told her family that her term would be extended six months. Ms. Ye was forced to do hard labor in the labor camp. Her health is in poor, and she often has severe back pain.
21. [Beijing City] Ms. Wang Zhiqin and Her Husband Mr. Wang Chongjun Arrested at Home
After Ms. Wang Zhiqin refused to write a statement saying that she would give up practicing Falun Gong, Yang Fengling (female), director of the Chaoyang District 610 Office, has hired and dispatched more than 40 unemployed workers and security officers to monitor her at home ever since the night of April 7, 2008. She is even tracked when she goes shopping or takes a walk in a park. Harassers call Ms. Yang at home each day.
At about 7 p.m. on April 14, 2008, Liu Tiangang (male) from the Chaoyang District 610 Office and more than 20 security officers broke into Ms. Wang's home and demanded that she write the guarantee statement. She refused to cooperate, and they ransacked her home. They opened her daughter's room with a master key and ransacked it as well. Finally they became frustrated and forcibly took Ms. Wang Zhiqin and her husband Mr. Wang Chongjun away.
On the morning of April 15, 2008, Zhang Weimin (male), the residential police officer, passed on a message that the couple was detained in the Guanzhuang Detention Center in Chaoyang District, and the family members were not allowed to send them clothes.

Mr. Zhao Fei, a teacher in Shigezhuang Town in Wuqing District, was arrested by police officers from the Wuqing District Police Department on April, 7, 2008. Since then he has been holding a hunger strike to protest persecution. His life now hangs by a thread. However, authorities at the Wuqing District Detention Center still refuse to release him.

26. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Guoliang Holds Hunger Strike in Detention Center to Protest Persecution
Mr. Liu Guoliang from Harbin City is holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution in No. 4 Detention Center in Daoli District, Harbin City. Mr. Liu and his wife, Ms. Wang Fenglan, were arrested from their rented home by police officers from the Daoli District Police Department on March 20, 2008. Their printer, computer, CD burner, and address books were seized.
