I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. At that time, I had just graduated from an elementary school. I feel very fortunate that I began practicing Falun Dafa before I picked up too many bad habits and notions from everyday people's society. I used to be very weak and I became ill quite often. Teacher helped me remove a lot of my karma, and my health improved a lot. I often went to the park with my mother to practice the Falun Dafa exercises and for group Fa study. I felt more and more clear about the magnificence and sacredness of Falun Dafa.
I was in junior high just prior the persecution of Falun Dafa, which started on July 20, 1999. Many of my classmates knew I was a Falun Dafa practitioner. I got along well with others since I followed the requirements of the Fa and the standards for being a Falun Dafa practitioner. My classmates accepted the atheism which was spread by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and therefore they thought cultivation was superstitious. Meanwhile, they could tell from my words and actions that Falun Dafa teaches people how to be good. Therefore, at a reunion many years later, when I clarified the truth to them and asked them to quit the CCP and its affiliates, they all readily agreed.
When the persecution started, I had just graduated from junior high. I attended senior high in another district because my family moved. In this school, no one knew I practiced Falun Dafa. Therefore, I wasn't persecuted much. I think that Teacher was protecting me. However, when I was in junior high, I was attached to taking courses and socializing with friends, and I didn't pay enough attention to the three things that Dafa disciples need to do. I didn't make the best use of time to save sentient beings. I feel very sorry and guilty about that now. Still, Teacher gave me opportunities. I wasn't a top student, yet I did well enough on the National College Entrance Exam that I was admitted to a prestigious university. Later, I realized that Teacher arranged this for me so I could better clarify the truth to people that had predestined relationships with me.
My family has a good income. Therefore, after I went to college, with fellow practitioners' help, we set up a family-based truth-clarification materials production center in our home. Most of my classmates knew how to use computers and were able to help us whenever we had issues with the computers. I quickly learned how to make truth-clarification materials. Every weekend, I went home and downloaded "Minghui Weekly" and other Dafa articles. My mother and I made Dafa fliers and printed out the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. When I returned to school on Sunday evenings, I took the materials to my university and other colleges nearby. I placed the materials where they were most likely to be picked up. For example, I left materials on benches so students would see them when they sat to prepare for their courses in the morning. I also left fliers and information in public phone booths, desk drawers, and teacher dorms. Sometimes, I put the Nine Commentaries on the bookshelves when I went to libraries. I'm sure people who have predestined relationships with the Fa saw these materials. During the summer and winter break when there aren't many people living in the dorms, I visited each and every room at the dorms to leave truth-clarification materials. Before I distributed Dafa materials, I sent forth righteous thoughts asking Teacher to strengthen me. Therefore, I didn't run into any difficult situations.
Based on my own observations, there weren't many truth-clarification materials on campus. It was probably because many fellow practitioners were not familiar with colleges or it wasn't convenient for them to deliver materials to students. Currently, college students are deeply poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party's party culture, since at all colleges students have to study CCP books, and students are required to pass exams on politics based on the CCP books if they want to pursue a Master's degree. Besides, after getting into colleges, students tend to feel they are atheist due to the CCP brainwashing. They don't realize that the CCP has already imposed evil theories into their minds. The fellow practitioners who are college students have a unique environment and great opportunity since we are familiar with how colleges run. Therefore, we can do a better job with distributing truth-clarification materials, especially the Nine Commentaries. We need to save sentient beings on campus.
After I graduated from college, it didn't require much effort to find a decent job. I have a higher income compared with people my age. This is another opportunity that Teacher gave me to clarify the truth and validate the Fa.
I didn't study the Fa well however, and therefore I had the attachment of fear when I was in college. I was afraid that I might be negatively impacted if my classmates learned that I was a Falun Dafa practitioner. Because of this, I didn't put too much effort into directly clarifying the truth to them. Teacher probably saw this and gave me an opportunity to eliminate my fear. Soon after I graduated, some of my classmates came to visit me at my home. I didn't want them to know I was a Falun Dafa practitioner, so I hid all the Dafa books and related materials. I thought I hid everything well, but one of my classmates saw the calender on the back of a door. It has "Falun Dafa is good" written on it. He asked me where I got it. I was startled and became a little anxious, but soon I calmed down. Wasn't I trying to find a good opportunity to talk to them about Falun Dafa? Now was the time! I decided that I'd clarify the truth to them no matter what.
I asked Teacher to help me. While sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all the evil elements around my classmates, I calmly told them, "All of my family members practice Falun Dafa. We have benefited a lot from the practice." They all knew that I had very good health during the four years I was in college. I told them that cultivating Falun Dafa not only gave us healthy bodies, but helped us with our studies and work, and that Falun Dafa is a powerful virtuous way to teach people to be compassionate. I told them that all the CCP TV programs were simply slandering Dafa. I told them that by reciting, "Falun Dafa is good," they'd be rewarded with happiness. After I talked to them, they no longer held that much hatred and misunderstanding of Falun Dafa.
After a few days, we got together again, so I took the opportunity to ask them to quit the CCP and its affiliates. It was my first time to publicly clarify the truth to people and help people quit the CCP. I was a little nervous. Soon I remembered what Teacher said in his poem "Hurry Up And Tell Them,"
"As Dafa disciples tell people the facts,
It's like sharp swords shooting out together from their mouths,
Shredding apart the rotten demons' lies.
Lose no time and save them, hurry up and tell them."
I calmed down and patiently explained to them the CCP's evil essence and the fact that the CCP will be eliminated by heaven. Surprisingly, when I finished, they quickly agreed to quit the CCP. One of them arrived late and didn't understand what I was saying and therefore he didn't quit the CCP. But he came to me the next day and asked me to help him quit the CCP and its affiliates. If it weren't for Teacher encouraging me to clarify the truth at every opportunity, I might still be afraid of talking to people about Dafa and the persecution. I came to realize that as long as we believe in Teacher and the Fa and as long as we are willing to let go of our attachments, our benevolent Teacher will help us.
I have since had the courage to directly clarify the truth to people. At each reunion, I bring up topics to clarify the truth and help people quit the CCP and its affiliates. Each time, I am able to help a few people quit the CCP. When I go shopping, dine out or take a taxi, whenever there is an opportunity to talk to one or two strangers separately, I explain the facts to them about Dafa and help them quit the CCP.
Now is the final step of the final stage of the Fa-rectification. Teacher has been waiting and waiting in order to save more sentient beings. We need to make the best use of time to save people and establish our mighty virtue. Of course, we need to be aware of security issues. Meanwhile, for those fellow practitioners who are college students, we need to take advantage of the knowledge that we have about universities to save more people on campus who were badly poisoned by the CCP.
