(Clearwisdom.net) On March 27, 2008, after 4 p.m. Ms. Xie Zhaoqi, in her 70s and a Falun Gong practitioner from Xinlongtai District, Panjin City, was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in the Xixiaomen, Zhenxing District when she was reported to the police by a security guard. Soon, the police arrested her. They even tried to arrest people who were listening to her, and passersby who were going to the Zuanjing Market, but the crowd protested this action.
According to a witness, the Zhenxing Police authorities ordered officers to track and monitor Ms. Xie. Ms. Xie was taken to the Zhenxing Police Station and interrogated for over five hours. They took away her house key. In the interrogation room, the officers took pictures and made records to show they had arrested a Falun Gong practitioner, and checked her identification. The officers illegally took Ms. Xie to her home and stole items from her house, including a notebook, a computer, a printer and other items which belonged to her grandchild, a senior in high school. Then they threatened her, saying, "Wait for us, we will interrogate you again soon." Later, Ms Xie had to become homeless to avoid further persecution.
