The Dongcheng Police Station's officers arrested several Falun Gong practitioners from Beijing City on January 24, 2008. The following is a list of the Falun Gong practitioners who were illegally arrested: Mr. Jiar Chen, Mr. Chen Gang, Ms. Chen Jiaolong, Ms. Yu Yajing, Mr. Wen Jiaji, Han Ligang, Mr. Zuo Yan, Ms. Liu Yan, Ms. Dong Tingshui, Ms. Yu Yafang, a teacher Qi , Ms. Zhang, Ms. Zhang Guanghua, Mr. Chen Gang, Ms. Su Na, Ms. Fu Jinyu, Mr. Gu Xinhua, Mr. Zhang Haibo, Mr. Zhang Haiou, Ms. Zhao Shuqin, Mr. Yang Moyu, Ms. Yang Junmei.

[Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Began a Hunger Strike to Protest the Persecution in Masanjia Forced Labor CampFalun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhao Jian was imprisoned in the third team of the first station of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. He had shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" and demanded that they stop persecuting Falun Gong. The police officers of the third team subsequently ordered other prisoners to brutally beat Mr. Zhao Jian on February 14-15, 2008. Some other Falun Gong practitioners have held hunger strikes protesting this persecution and supporting Mr. Zhao.
The leader of the second administrative team, Pan Hongzhou, beat a Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gao Yuling (from Zhaoyang, Liaoning Province) who supported and initiated the hunger strike.
Practitioners Mr. Chen Kaiqu and Mr. Liu Qing began a hunger strike on February 19, 2008 to protest this persecution. Meanwhile, the Falun Gong practitioners who are imprisoned in the second team have refused to do forced labor.
Mr. Feng Guofu was recently sent to a hospital for emergency treatment. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Yan from Heilongjiang was also persecuted in the second team of the first station, as she is also currently protesting this persecution. After hearing this news, her mother developed a heart condition and was sent to a hospital for emergency treatment.

3. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Shuqin Illegally Imprisoned at Beitai Drug Rehabilitation Center
Ms. Zhao Shuqin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Benxi City, was reported and has been arrested by police officers while clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. She is currently imprisoned in the Beitai Drug Rehabilitation Center.
4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yan Jinghua Arrested by Police Officers
Practitioner Ms. Yan Jinghua was arrested by police officers in Ningxia Road, Qingdao City, on the morning of February 18, 2008. Later that same afternoon, the police officers ransacked Ms. Yan's house and confiscated her property. She has not returned to her home since.
5. [Shandong Province] Additional Reports of the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners
Over 20 Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested in Qingdao City during the Chinese New Year of 2008. According to a police officer, this round of arrests was conducted directly by the Public Security Department. Every police station in Qingdao City has assigned two officers to participate in the persecution of Falun Gong.

Practitioner Ms. Liu Zhenling was reported and has been arrested by local Youjian Police Office while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong on February 18, 2008.

7. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Peixiang Arrested
Ms. Wu Peixiang, a Falun Gong practitioner from Xizhuguo Village, Zhuguo Town, was reported for distributing Falun Gong truth clarification materials. Ms. Wu was arrested by Wu Mingjiang and two other police officers from Zhuguo Police Office on February 18, 2008. Her home was ransacked and her personal property confiscated. The Zhuguo Police Office originally had sent Ms. Wu to Gaomi City Detention Center, but the detention center refused to accept her. Ms. Wu is currently being imprisoned at the Zhuguo Town Police Office. The Zhuguo Town Police Office ordered Ms. Wu's family members to pay three to five thousand yuan for her release.

8. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ji Guihua Subjected to Persecution
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ji Guihua was arrested at her home at around 3:00 p.m. on February 19, 2008. She is currently imprisoned in the Yingkou City Detention Center.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hu Huifang Arrested
After Ms. Chen Man, Ms. Xiong and three other Falun Gong practitioners were arrested, a group of police officers from Qingshan District, Wuhan City broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hu Huifang's home on February 19, 2008. Two policemen pushed her head down and twisted her arm to handcuff her.

12. [Botou, Hebei Province] Waliwang Town Police Officers Harassed Falun Gong Practitioner Households
Before Chinese New Year of 2008, Waliwang Town police officers harassed Falun Gong practitioner households in Hanlin Village, several times. Their purpose was to extort money from the Falun Gong practitioners. They extorted approximately 2,000 yuan before stopping this persecution.
13. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Hong Illegally Monitored
Numerous 610 Office agents monitored Ms. Liu's home, which is located in Wuchang District, Wuhan City, on the evening of February 20, 2008. The agents attempted to arrest her and her child, Shi Xiu. Ms. Liu's husband Mr. Shi Lei was sentenced to 11 years, and is currently being held and tortured at Shayang Farm.
14. [Hunan Province] Additional Information on the Persecution of Mr. Xiang Xulin
Mr. Xiang Xulin, who was a Falun Gong practitioner and a doctor in Jinshi in Hunan Province, was tortured to death in Heshan Prison on January 6, 2003. According to inside sources, Mr. Xiang was subjected to brutal torture before his death. On a hot June day, he was bound tightly to a lamppost, and his bowels burned and otherwise injured.
Mr. Xiang's wife Ms. Liang Fuying is also a Falun Gong practitioner. She had gone to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong with her husband. She has been arrested several times, imprisoned and tortured. Her three children were also imprisoned. She died on March 9, 2004.
According to inside sources, there are many Falun Gong practitioners who have been tortured in water cells in Jinshi, Hunan Province.
15. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Additional Information on Mr. Wu Jin's Illegal Arrest
On the morning on February 19, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu Jin, who was imprisoned at the First Tangshan Detention Center, was notified by the Nanbao Development Area Public Security Bureau that he was sentenced to one and a half year of forced labor.

16. [Tianjin City] Mr. Luan Ruijiang Persecuted
Mr. Luan Ruijiang, a Falun Gong practitioner from Dagang Oilfield, Tianjin City, is currently detained at the Dagang District Detention Center. He began a hunger strike to protest this persecution.
17. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Hu Huifang Illegally Arrested on February 19, 2008
18. [Renqiu, Hebei Province] Additional Information about Ms. Li Rujuan and Ms. Li Jinhua in Tianjing City
Falun Gong practitioners from Huabei Oil, Ms. Li Rujuan and Ms. Li Jinhua, were arrested by Huabei Oil Yingzhou Public and Security Sub-Bureau. Ms. Li Rujuan was tried in a court session in December 2007. She was denied contact with her family members, who were thus unable to attend this trial at Renqiu Oil Detention Center. Ms. Li Rujuan was sentenced to three years and asked for a lawyer to appeal for her in late January 2008.

20. [Fufeng, Shanxi Province] Three Falun Gong Practitioners Illegally Arrested
Three Falun Gong practitioners, Gai Zhan, Zhang and Zhang's wife, were reported and arrested when they were distributing the truth clarification materials by Rougu County Police Station. They are currently imprisoned in Fufeng Detention Center.
21. [Anyue County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Youcai's Whereabouts are Currently Unknown
Mr. Chen Youcai (also known as Chen Xiankang), was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment by Anyue County authorities. He was imprisoned at the second ward of Deyang Prison in Huangxi Town, Sichuan Province. Someone had said that he was released but his family has not heard from him.
22. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Yuejun and Ms. Dong Mingfen Illegally Arrested
Practitioners Mr. Wang Yuejun and Ms. Dong Mingfen, who were imprisoned at Shuangyashan City Detention Center, were arrested by the People's Court in Jianshan District, Shuangyashan City on February 1, 2008.

23. [Anyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Yuling Suffering from Persecution
Practitioner Ms. Liu Yuling was arrested by the National Security Team of Longan District, Anyang City when she was distributing truth clarification materials about Falun Gong. Ms. Liu's retirement pay is her family's only income. Her daughter is in college and has suffered from financial difficulties. Her daughter has been to the National Security Team, but she has not been allowed to visit her mother.

24. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Feiyang's Mother Illegally Arrested
Someone at Huapolu Primary School noticed Mr. Li Feiyang's mother attending a parents' meeting in Jianghan District, Wuhan City on the morning on February 19, 2008. Mr. Li's mother was then arrested and sent to Wucheng Yangyuan Brainwashing Center.

26. [Beijing City] Mr. Xue Fuchun Subjected to Persecution
Mr. Xue Fuchun, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shunyi District, was a former patrolman in the Public Security Bureau of Beijing City's Shunyi Sub-Bureau. He was fired from his job and sent to forced labor because he distributed truth clarification materials about Falun Gong. He was not released until October 2004.
The National Security Section of Shunyi Sub-Bureau and Houshayou Police Office's deputy director went with eight police officers to arrest Mr. Xue while he was on duty at his part-time job.
They then ransacked his house for over five hours, and confiscated Falun Dafa books, truth clarification materials, and a computer.
Mr. Xue did not cooperate during the arrest and collapsed. He was later determined to have suffered a broken neck. He was sent to Shunyi District Hospital for treatment. Due to his serious illness, police officers were afraid to take responsibility. Mr. Xue is currently staying at his home and awaits sentencing.
