They have traveled to Mainland China many times and completely understand the information about Falun Gong in the Chinese New Year Splendor show, because one of her husband's relatives had to escape China to avoid the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution.
Ameena said that although the CCP will hold the Olympic Games, she knows that many people in China are still suffering badly, and subjected to illegal trials. She thought there could be more information about Falun Gong in the show so that the western people could learn more about the persecution in China.
Ameena also had high praise for the show. She said it was wonderful, as it displayed the beauty of the Chinese culture. She remarked that the drum playing was very powerful.
