Professor Sihan Wang from the Department of Systems Engineering, City University of New York (CUNY) expressed his regret for having missed the Holiday Wonders performance before Christmas, but he was happy he had made it this time.

The Show Cleanses Polluted Chinese Culture

Professor Wang said, "This show is an invisible force that cleanses Chinese culture, which the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has polluted. Culture is at the root of the Chinese people. It restores China's real history and culture."

Professor Wang commented, "The Divine Performing Arts show is restoring China's forgotten history, using art as a means. It lets the world see what real Chinese culture is. This effort is very important for the world now and for the future. Without culture we do not have our roots; without roots we will not have a future; without history, how could we have our life now?"

Professor Wang has met many students from China. He stated that these students have advanced degrees, but they do not know much about their own culture. A Ph.D. student from Beijing University told Wang, "History is nothing; it is useless." It makes Professor Wang sad. He said, "If a nation loses its culture and history, it will die."

Wang went on, "The CCP's decades-long rule of China has destroyed Chinese traditional values such as mercy, justice, courtesy, wisdom and trust, and it suppressed people's honest and kind nature. The nature of the CCP is violence. It destroys society and twists facts. What kind of mind and behavior would people develop under the Party's long-term brainwashing?"

"Look at the top colleges in China, such as Tsinghua and Beijing University, and how people plagiarize others' scientific papers. A popular expression among Chinese students says, 'Study math, physics and chemistry well, you will be successful anywhere you go.' This is typical materialism. Scholarly achievement and skills are only tools. The lack of appreciation for humanity and moral standards will be a shame and a terrible loss for those students. Such people are usually selfish and cannot accomplish anything significant. Other people will not want to work with them."

Absorbing the Energy from the Splendor Like a Sponge

Professor Wang said that during the show, he only wanted to focus on the present, not the memories from the past. He wanted to enjoy the show without any preconceived notions. He told the reporter, "The Splendor is a stream of pure, fresh water in a filthy Chinese society. I couldn't find enough words to express my feelings during the entire show. I wanted to clear myself, relax my mind; just like a sponge, absorbing all the energy emitted from the pure compassion and beauty of the Splendor."

The professor also indicated that the Splendor gave him a sense of connection with his own past.

He added, "I had been coughing for a few days. But when I watched the show, I stopped coughing. This is indeed amazing energy."
