(Clearwisdom.net) On January 26, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Brussels' Chinatown to expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s brutal persecution of Falun Gong and support the thirty million withdrawals from the CCP and its organizations.
The information stand was filled with various materials, including DVD's that exposed the CCP's persecution, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in Chinese and western languages, literature on quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations, an investigative report on organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners published by independent investigators in Canada, Chinese and French Epoch Times newspapers, etc.
Some westerners asked for materials and talked with practitioners for a long time to learn about the persecution in China. They proceeded to carefully read the materials. Even though they knew that there was no real freedom in China, they were still shocked by the severity of the persecution. Many declared that the persecution must be stopped.
For overseas Chinese, the independent overseas Chinese newspaper, Epoch Times, has become their source of true news from China. The Epoch Times publishes the latest news on quitting the CCP from the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP, helping more Chinese to learn the facts and quit the CCP.
After asking practitioners for some materials, a lady named Yu said that she wanted to learn the Falun Gong exercises. She also left her contact information. Mr. Zen, a long time Belgian immigrant from Taiwan, said after receiving material that he had wanted to read the book Zhuan Falun for many years but had been too busy to do so. He hoped to be able to purchase the book this time. When he learned that the book could be downloaded from FalunDafa.org website free of charge, he said that he would do so as soon as he returned home.
During the event, many overseas Chinese asked for material not only for themselves but also for their friends. Due to an exceptionally large number of people asking for materials, practitioners had to replenish the supply twice to meet the demand. The practitioners said they thought more people had learned the facts and seen through the CCP's evil nature during this event, so they felt gratified even though it was hard work.
