(Clearwisdom.net) Since the Taiwanese Government began allowing mainland Chinese to visit Taiwan, we have experienced more and more interference in clarifying the truth at Sun Moon Lake. For example, we were not allowed to hang banners, put up posters, or leave truth-clarifying materials, etc. at the tourist area, and the situation became more and more severe. Some fellow practitioners reasoned that the director of the Scenic Area Administration (SAA) was nice to us, so we should cooperate with him as much as possible and not cause him to too much trouble, and that we should maximally conform to the way of everyday people while doing things, and not act in opposition. However, some practitioners said we should use righteous thoughts and not just cooperate with the director. Eventually, we weren't allowed to place any banners, posters or truth-clarifying materials at the site, so fewer and fewer practitioners went to Sun Moon Lake to clarify the truth.
Facing this situation, my understanding at the time was, "Is it interference from human sentiment if we cooperate with the director because he is nice to us? Then this is an attachment we should eliminate. In everyday society, the laws are opposite of the universal truths. At the human level, cooperating with the director is good for him, but at a higher level it will harm him. He cooperated with the evil and interfered with our clarifying the truth and saving beings, which was very bad for him. Isn't he also one of the beings we are eager to save?"
After sharing my understanding with other practitioners, I decided to go to Sun Moon Lake and begin rectifying the field. After we arrived at the scenic site, we first sent righteous thoughts and then placed posters, banners and truth-clarifying materials. One day, two SAA officials told us that we weren't allowed to display our posters because the pictures on them were too bloody. During the process of negotiating, a woman visitor passed by and said, "You can check to see if it (what was described on the poster) is true. If it is, you should let them display the poster." Was it Master who gave us a hint with compassion? An everyday person's simple words broke through our difficult situation.
Several days later, an SAA official came and said unhappily, "We told you not to hang banners or place posters and materials, but you didn't listen." We kept sending righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth, and he finally allowed us to display the banners, posters and materials.
Several days later, the SAA director came to have a look. When he saw our banners, posters and materials, he confiscated all of our materials on the spot. At that time, only three practitioners were there. He told the practitioners to notify the person in charge to come give an explanation. When I was told about this, I decided to go to the SAA office and clarify the truth to the management. Master said, "Wherever a problem arises, that's where you need to clarify the facts." The next day, before I went to SAA, I shared with practitioners that we must cooperate with each other as a whole. When we arrived at the Scenic Area Administration, several practitioners entered the office to clarify the truth while the others stayed outside on the plaza to send righteous thoughts. We spent two hours clarifying the truth to the officials. In this way we harbored compassion for saving all beings, and things started to change. The officials returned the banner, posters and materials to us and allowed us to display the posters and materials. The only restriction was not being allowed to hang banners.
Two days later, we went to meet the director. He still wouldn't allow us to hang banners. We thought that because the evil was afraid of Dafa banners, they manipulated ordinary people to prevent us from hanging them. We knew that we must hang the Dafa banners. As long as all beings can see Dafa banners, we can do anything. I said to the director, "Is it okay if we use our hands to hold the banner?" The director said, "As long as you have the energy, it's fine."
Dafa practitioners are wise. We used two wooden poles to hold the banner. Other practitioners distributed materials and clarified the truth near the banner. The banner looked pretty good as we held it with the poles. The appearance was the same as before. All fellow practitioners upheld the field together. Now we feel that the field is much better than before, when we had not been allowed to set up posters and clarify the truth. Now, when the officials of Administration of Public Affairs come, we continue doing what we should do and are not affected at all. I was moved when I saw the elderly practitioners silently putting forth a lot of effort to uphold this field. I said to myself that I would be more diligent and do better, and not let our compassionate Master down.
The scenic sites are battle grounds between righteous and evil. The evil glares at us fiercely. As long as we have a loophole, we will face interference. When we do well, the field is righteous. Tourists from China read the posters, took truth-clarifying materials and took pictures. More and more people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. One tourist took three copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and put them into his pocket, saying he would show them to his friends. He also quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations right then.
Some tourists from China shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" when they saw our banners. They also gave us the thumbs up and encouraged us. At that time, I knew these beings were saved. Master said, "Even when an ordinary person shouts out "Falun Dafa is good" today, Master will protect him." ("Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference")
We have met with a lot of interference and tests when rectifying the field at Sun Moon Lake, and during the process, I have learned a lot. I deeply understand that I should put down selfishness and search inward when having problems and encountering conflicts with fellow practitioners. I should increase sharing with fellow practitioners so that the whole body will improve together. Master said,
"For Dafa disciples as a whole, in the process of validating the Fa, when you work together in concert, the Fa power is great." ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference")
As long as we cooperate with each other and the whole body is in harmony, we can do better at Sun Moon Lake and save more beings.
