Vocalist: It's the first time I've ever heard such outstanding Chinese vocalists
Mr. Lagueier, a singer with the Geneva Opera House, and his family
Mr. Lagueier, veteran singer with the renowned Geneva Opera House in Switzerland, brought his wife and daughter to the performance on the evening of October 4. He said in an interview after the show that he was very impressed by the entire show. "The dances, the costumes, and the music were all beautiful. I've had a pleasant evening."
As a professional, he especially appreciated the vocalists. He said that it was the first time he had ever heard Chinese songs sung by such outstanding Chinese vocalists. The songs are traditional and require advanced singing skills. "Tenor (Hong Ming) sang very well, his voice was resonant and could be heard very clearly without any public address equipment. He had good bearing, leading the audience naturally to a beautiful realm."
Mr. Lagueier's wife, Francoise, is involved in medical work. She told the reporter, "I liked the performance very much. I like Chinese culture. I like dance, myself, and my daughter is also learning dance. What I found especially attractive about Chinese dance was the performers' attention to the melody and their fluidity. Very beautiful!"
Banker: Divine Performing Arts helped me gain deeper understanding of Chinese culture

Ms. Genetti , a banker, and her younger sister came to the performance together. Afterward, Ms. Genetti told the reporter that she and her younger sister both enjoyed it and had a wonderful time.
She said, "It was fantastic! The programs were diverse and varied. The hosts' excellent explanations made it easier for the audience to understand. Divine Performing Arts introduces Chinese history through different programs, helping the audience gain deeper understanding of Chinese culture. The performers' costumes were beautiful and brilliant."
Contrary to her expectations, Ms. Genetti said that the music was easy to understand. She said that she had not understood Chinese music before, because the Chinese performances she had seen in the past all used only Chinese musical instruments, which was far from the experience of a Western audience. But she thought the Divine Performing Arts' music was very pleasant, a blend of Chinese and Western music, and the orchestra also combined both Western and Chinese instruments, so it was much easier for a Western audience to appreciate. She thought that the Erhu player was excellent and found her music mesmerizing.
Director of Musicals: All of the Divine Performing Arts' programs are gorgeous and elegant

Ms. Booth is director of "GAOS," an acclaimed musical troupe that is big in Europe. The musical Aladdin that she directed will be on stage soon. She and her two colleagues attended the Divine Performing Arts show and said that it was a wonderful and pleasant experience.
She told the reporter, "It was fabulous, I liked everything, particularly the dance sequence 'Rainbow.'" What impressed her deeply was the first drumming program "Drummers of Tang Dynasty." She said that each and every performance was beautiful, gorgeous, and elegant. The orchestra and costumes were also of high standard. She thought that the Chinese music was particularly beautiful and pleasant.
Staff member of World Health Organization: Divine Performing Arts inspires people to give certain issues careful thought
Ms. Guglielmi, on the staff of the World Health Organization
Ms. Guglielmi engages in economic and anthropological research. She was very happy to tell the reporter her feelings after attending the show.
She said, "I had never heard about Divine Performing Arts before I came. I felt wonderful after I saw it! I think Chinese dance is much more expressive than Western dance. I liked everything. The most unforgettable thing for me is that Divine Performing Arts used dance and music to interpret a theme and a story."
She continued, "I also liked the backdrop. The scenery on the backdrop worked perfectly with the performances on stage. For example, in one program two celestial maidens came down from the heavens and accompanied the lady who was tortured to death to fly up to heaven. The backdrop and the dance worked together seamlessly. I like this form of expression. There were some stories about gods and Buddhas, which inspired me to give certain issues careful thought."
PhD student in mass media: It is a completely different performance

Mr. Anani said he enjoyed Divine Performing Arts' artistry
He said, "This is my first time to see a live performance of Chinese art, and I found it very expressive. I have seen Chinese performances on TV before, but this is completely different." He noticed that the show incorporated the backdrop into the performances and that the backdrop designs were lively, vivid, and impressive, so that it was very easy for the audience to enter into the realm of the performance. "The solo vocalists blended Western elements in their singing, forming a harmonious whole, very successful," he said.
He imitated some of the dancers' posture and said, "The dance performance 'Winter Plum' used music and dance to portray winter plum blossoms in cold winter wind; they swayed due to the strong wind. Very creative."
