(Clearwisdom.net) After I was given a stiff court sentence that was not reduced even after being defended by several lawyers, my personal understanding is that practitioners should focus on the process instead of the result, which shouldn't have any bearing on what we're doing. We should still continue to do what we should. In the process, we save sentient beings and eliminate evil.
Giving a not-guilty defense in court helps fellow practitioners detained in prison to maintain their righteous thoughts. The action itself was also to validate the Fa. We are very thankful to those defense lawyers, but we should not be moved by the outcome and feel hopeless. In the process, we have been able to let sentient beings understand the real evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). We fellow practitioners must understand that not only is there no law in the minds of the CCP, but they also trample on it. We want to let people understand the facts, so they can choose their positions for the future. We Dafa practitioners are taking the lead in this affair.
As long as we uphold our belief in the Fa, clarify all the facts so that people understand, and save the people that we should, then we have done what we should, regardless of how the result appears on the surface. All the things that we do will not be in vain as long as we abide by the Fa, because Teacher will be there to take care of us. Of course, if we deviate from the Fa, it would be very difficult to negate the persecution, and Teacher wouldn't be able to help us.
When I was arrested, early on my righteous thoughts were not strong and I felt very depressed. Later on, when righteous lawyers took over my case, my heart became brightened, and then I realized the grand force of Fa-rectification advancing. I was not frightened by the sentence--a jail sentence is just a number, a false image; the CCP is absolutely unable to last that long. With strong righteous thoughts, I certainly can negate the evil and be free from prison. My having too many human notions would be the real problem.
Fellow practitioners, I am grateful for all the things you have done for me, and to the righteous lawyers I am thankful for your help. Please let me know if anything here is insufficient in my understanding. I will be diligent in cultivating. I will not fall apart, for it wasn't easy to be here for the sake of sentient beings. I will definitely cultivate to consummation.
