Mr. Tuck said he knew a little about China due to his work, but he did not know much about traditional Chinese culture. His friend recommended the show to him. He was very interested in the meaning of the stories told by the performances. He said the more he knew, the more he could enjoy and understand them.
Mr. Tuck's wife was a singer before retirement. Although she is interested in opera, she especially liked the songs in the show. She thought that the opera singers were very good. She said she was touched by the meaning of the songs and the stance against the persecution.
Her mother has visited China and loves Chinese culture. She was a nurse before retirement. She said she liked each performance and the backdrops.
