(Clearwisdom.net) A couple of days ago, I accompanied my mother to a bank, and a clerk ushered us into a small office. When we were through the clerk asked my mother to sign a document. My mother signed her name in Chinese, and I told the clerk that it was Chinese. So he knew we were from China.
He then commented casually that China was quite developed. I said that it appeared quite good, but a lot of truths were covered up. He became interested, waiting for me to go on. I said, "For instance, there are people who are persecuted in China, and the reality behind the economic development there is unknown to the outside world."
I told him that my mother is a Falun Gong practitioner, but that China persecutes Falun Gong, and that my mother had had difficulty moving around because of her illnesses, but since she started practicing Falun Gong, her illnesses disappeared. She can even easily do some household chores and help me take care of my child.
He looked at my mother's face and said she appeared to be 20 years younger than her real age.
I continued, "But the Chinese communist regime started persecuting Falun Gong. Since there are a large number of people practicing it, the communist regime is afraid of losing its control over people's minds, of losing its ability to control people with communist ideology. That's why they started the persecution."
The following is the conversation I had with the clerk as I recollected it.
Clerk: But, don't they care about people's health?
I: The Chinese communist regime couldn't care less. In their minds, killing numerous people amounts to killing a number, and they don't care about the individual people. They think their power is most important and people's welfare is not. So people's health is not important to them.
Clerk: Oh, good heavens! But how could they ever do that? How could it ever happen?
I: It's all because of the jealousy of Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). One individual's jealousy lead to persecution. This is something that could never happen in a democracy. When everyone is protected by law, persecution cannot happen, can it? In China, however, there is no law. China made a lot of laws all right, but the CCP can do whatever it wishes--it will observe them when it wants and it can flout them when it doesn't like them. That is why the persecution could occur.
Clerk: Did the United States do anything after the persecution started?
I: Most Western nations kept silent when it happened, and so did the United States. They were heavily involved in trade with China. Many Western companies remained silent too, as they either had their branch offices in China or did business there. Of course, there are also those who believe human rights are the most important, not trade. (The clerk nodded in agreement) But some people think that doing business with China is very important. So, at the time Western governments felt they could not raise their voices too high on this matter, as their business with China was at stake.
However, many westerners found that they didn't make money in China. Instead they were ripped off by the CCP and driven out of China.
At this point the clerk was looking at me with growing interest.
I: Westerners made investments in China because they thought it was a huge market. But the fact is that China has no market. Because in China most people's incomes are very low, and they are very cheap labor. They cannot afford to spend much, so there's no market in China. They don't have medical insurance or social security, and they have to spend lots of money on education. Housing is expensive, too. They pay income tax when they work, and yet when they retire they can't benefit from welfare and have to spend their own money. Thus, they don't dare spend, and instead they save religiously.
Clerk: I came from India, and in India education is free.
I: But in China, the taxes people have paid are all squandered by the CCP. People cannot ask, "Where are all the taxes we paid? Why are we being asked to pay more?" People know that it's no use. When the CCP is upset, it may have you arrested to shut you up. China is not a democracy, and that's why it could happen there. Many communist officials take the public's money for their own enjoyment or send their children overseas. They mail the funds to their family members abroad.
The CCP once used one quarter of its GDP to persecute Falun Gong. No one is willing to do bad things for free. (The clerk nodded in agreement) They have to be paid to do bad things. The CCP hired a lot of people to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, including ordering the police to arrest and abuse Falun Gong practitioners. The CCP has also expanded many labor camps and prisons to hold more Falun Gong practitioners, and that takes money! They also ordered the media to get involved in smearing Falun Gong, helping them in the persecution. Slander from the media can help in the persecution and slaughter. For instance, the media's misinformation played a big role in the genocide in Rwanda. The CCP's slander against Falun Gong even had some practitioners' families fooled, causing them to help in the persecution. The CCP is trying to use its trade with foreign governments as leverage to ask them to be silent on the issue of Falun Gong, and only in this way will it be able to sustain the persecution. They really need to do a lot of things in order to sustain the persecution, and these all take lots of money. The CCP couldn't care less about spending more money, as they think that controlling people's minds is most important. They believe that only in this way will they be able to keep the communist rule. They feel their rule is most important. For them, where there's no power, there's nothing.
Clerk: Oh, my God!
I: As a matter of fact, the CCP has no more money. It has built many buildings, and said to foreigners, "Hurry up and make your investments here. Open your businesses. Look how good the environment is here! The market here is simply huge." But you'll see there's no market.
But the CCP wants your money. It will figure out how to steal your money, and then kick you out. It will accuse you of violating a certain law. It can administer the law however it wants. In the end, your money is in and you are out. When it persecutes Falun Gong, it doesn't care about law, either.
Clerk: In fact, I did business in China, and my money was left there. I returned, penniless. I know the CCP only wants money.
I: Yes, the CCP wants money. It has resorted to many means to get money. For instance, prisoners in labor camps in China are forced to work like slaves to make goods for export. The conditions in Chinese prisons are so dismal that some of those prisoner-workers are working with pus or bacteria on their hands and the goods they make are all tainted. It could very well be that one of the products you purchased that was made in China was made this way. Also, China exports poisoned food.
Moreover, the CCP is harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners. In its efforts to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, the CCP threw them into jail and killed them. They took their organs while they were still breathing. (Clerk: My God!) Since fresh organs are expensive, the CCP could make a lot more money. The CCP invites patients from China and other countries to receive organ transplants, and this way it makes lots of money.
Furthermore, the CCP thinks of every way to rip off the Chinese people. The cost of living in some Chinese cities is very high. Tuition is expensive despite the taxpayers' enormous payments. In China the real estate sector is controlled by the government too. When it needs money it will raise housing prices. For instance, in Shanghai, one can sell an apartment and send the money to Canada and buy another one with that money. The problem in the medical sector is serious too. So in China the word in the street is, "Africa's income, America's expense."
Now that the CCP wants to host the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, it will need to build some stadiums. So it is forcing people to relocate, and even tearing down people's homes and factories by force. As a result, many people have no place to live or have lost their jobs. (The clerk was shocked to hear that) The CCP said that holding the Olympic Games will bring pride to the Chinese people. But many Chinese think otherwise. They think it will bring disaster to the people, and only the communist regime will benefit from it. Outside China, the 2008 Olympic Games has been dubbed the "Blood-stained Olympic Games," and it is compared to the Olympics hosted by Hitler.
Clerk: Are you an economics major with an advanced degree? I see you know a lot about economics.
I: I am not an economics major. I simply know some truths about China.
I found myself explaining so many truths to the clerk while answering his questions. I had not thought about that. And he didn't think it was a waste of his time at all. He kept urging me to tell him more. I had thought that I couldn't clarify the facts well because my English was not fluent and I don't like to socialize. But it didn't seem to matter. Sentient beings don't mind. They are anxious to know more from Dafa disciples!
