Ms. Zhang Chunfeng, 50, is a practitioner from Baoding City, Hebei Province. At around 11:00 a.m. on August 7, 2007, officers from the Yimian Police Station took her into custody, searched her home, and confiscated a personal computer and other items. Ms. Zhang is being unlawfully held at a detention center.

On January 21, 2007, Mr. Tao Yongchun and Ms. Jia Yuyan, practitioners from Larji District in Qiqihar City, went to the countryside to distribute truth clarifying materials. Officers from the Huamin Township Police Station in Longjiang County forcibly took them into custody after receiving reports from villagers. Mr. Tao and Ms. Jia were held at the county detention center for six months.
On August 6, Mr. Tao's family learned that Mr. Tao and Ms. Jia were each unlawfully sentenced to four years in prison. Mr. Tao Yongchun has been taken to the Tailai Prison in Qiqihar City, and Ms. Jia Yuyan has been taken to the Heilongjiang Provincial Women's Prison.
5. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Older Practitioner Mr. Bao Longxian Taken into Custody by 610 Office
Mr. Bao Longxia, an older practitioner from Bailin Town in Zhangwan District, Shiyan City, has been held in custody by the city's 610 Office for almost 20 days. He is being held at the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center.
Mr. Bao, who is close to 70 years old, went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong after July 20, 1999. As a result, he was held at the Zhangwan Brainwashing Center, where he refused to be "transformed." He was then unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labor. He managed to leave the labor camp with righteous thoughts in mind, but he is still being constantly harassed.

It has been recently learned that practitioners Ms. Sun Fengjie and Ms. Cao Chunyan have been unlawfully held at the Liaohe Surveillance Branch Unit (a detention facility) for over eight months. Ms. Sun works at the Jinzhou Oil Extraction Factory at the Liaohe Oil Fields in Panjin City, Liaoning Province. Ms. Cao is from the Jincheng area of Linghai City, which is a division of Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. The families of Ms. Sun and Ms. Cao have not been allowed to see the two practitioners.
9. [Shaoyang City, Hunan Province] Over a Dozen Practitioners, Include Mr. Xiao Yaoha, Taken into Custody
At around 9:00 p.m. on July 28, twenty or so police officers from the Dongkou County 610 Office, the county political and judiciary committee, and the Gaosha Town Police Station were dispatched to arrest practitioners whose names were on a compiled list. Over a dozen practitioners were unlawfully arrested, and their homes were searched. The police confiscated several computers, printers, photocopiers and other equipment. Ms. Xiao Hongyan, Ms. Xiao Jinlian, Ms. Xiao Biyun, Ms. Leng Yunlian, Ms. Huang Jiuniang, Mr. Yang Weizhe, Ms. Zeng Meihua, Ms. Liu Qiju, Mr. Xue Zhongyou, and Mr. Xiang Yihai were among those unlawfully taken into custody. Several older people were released the same night after the police extorted cash and forced them to each sign a "guarantee statement." Practitioner Mr. Xiao Yaohan was taken into custody outside his home. The police also took the vehicle he was driving. Mr. Xiao managed to escape at midnight even though he was handcuffed. Other practitioners are being held at various detention centers in Wugang County, Shaoyang City, and Dongkou County.
10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Mr. Tan Xiayi and Mr. Chen Dong Unlawfully Held at Chengtie Detention Center in Chengdu City
At around 11:00 a.m. on July 10, 2007, Cui Yuefeng (male), director of the Deyang Railroad Station in Sichuan Province, and other officers forcibly took Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Tan Xiayi and Mr. Chen Dong into custody. The two practitioners are being held at the Chengtie Detention Center in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province.
Mr. Tan Xiayi, 43, is from Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. He works at the Deyang Railroad Station. On January 3, 2001, he was turned in to the police for clarifying the truth and unlawfully held for 140 days at the Jingyang District Detention Center in Deyang City, Sichuan Province. Mr. Tan remained under surveillance afterwards and his phone was tapped.
Mr. Chen Dong, 26, is a farmer from the Mengjia area in Huangxu Town, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. The police searched his home after taking him into custody on July 10, 2007. They took his television, refrigerator, tape recorder, and books.
11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Geng Li's Term Unlawfully Extended Nine Months
Ms. Geng Li is a practitioner from Dalian City, Liaoning Province. Her forced labor term ended on July 6, 2007. The authorities at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp told Ms. Geng's family that her term had been extended nine months.
12. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Chen Minghui Held at Dabei Prison
On July 26, 2007, Mr. Chen Minghui, a practitioner from Dalian City, Liaoning Province, was taken from the Liaoyang City Detention Center to the Dabei Prison. However, the detention center authorities didn't notify Mr. Chen's family. When Mr. Chen's wife and other family members went to the Liaoyang City Detention Center to visit him on August 3, they found out that he had been transferred.
Mr. Chen had been taken to a hospital while he was in the detention center. Doctors found out that he had dead bone tissue in his thigh. He suffered excruciating thigh pain every day. Yet, he was still forced to engage in slave labor.
13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Cui Jian Taken to Brainwashing Center in Fushun City, Liaoning Province
Ms. Cui Jian, 44, lives in Shahekou District, Dalian City. She had been sentenced to forced labor for two years by the Xianglujiao Police Station. She was held at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, with her term set to end on July 7, 2007.
On June 19, officials from the Shahekou District, the neighborhood administration office, and the residential committee went to the labor camp and took her to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Fushun City, Liaoning Province without notifying her family.
Ms. Cui remains in custody at the brainwashing center, one month after the end of her forced labor term on July 7.
14. [Qingyun County, Shandong Province] Practitioner Mr. Shi Zhenhai Held in Custody
Mr. Shi Zhenhai, a practitioner from Shijiafang Village in Dahu Town, Qingyun County, was taken into custody at home on August 5, 2007. He was taken away by Li Guangrong (male) and other officers from the 610 Office in the Qingyun County Police Department. Mr. Shi is being held at the Qingyun Detention Center.
15. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Additional Information on the Detention of Practitioner Mr. Yan Shunqi
Mr. Yan Shunqi is a practitioner from Beikanwei Village in Gaoyang County in the Baoding area of Hebei Province. At around 10:00 a.m. on August 1, 2007, the Gaoyang County Police took Mr. Yan away from his home. The police first arrived at his home for an unlawful search. Without finding anything, the police talked Mr. Yan into getting into the car and then sped away. Mr. Yan is being held at the Gaoyang County Detention Center. His family has not been allowed to visit him.

16. [Diaomingshan City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Sun Xiuchen Taken into Custody and His Home Searched
Practitioner Mr. Sun Xiuchen was taken into custody by officers from the Diaobingshan City State Security Division. He is being held at the city's detention center. At around midnight that night, Zheng Feng (male), head of the state security division, and four other officers broke into Mr. Sun's home. Mr. Sun's mother, who is in her seventies, was scared, and she was later hospitalized. Mr. Sun Xiuchen's wife is also a practitioner. She has been unlawfully sentenced to prison. She is being held at the Shenyang Prison Complex in Liaoning Province. Their daughter, who is in high school, has been left at home alone.
17. [Yunnan Province] Three Practitioners, Including Ms. Zhang Guixian, Unlawfully Held at the Gejiu City Detention Center
Three practitioners are being unlawfully held at the Gejiu City Detention Center in the Honghe Prefecture of Yunnan Province. Among them, Ms. Wang Lixian was taken into custody on March 10, 2007. Ms. Wang Lichun and Ms. Dai Jinlan went to the Fifth Division in the Songkuang area at around noon on August 2, 2007. They were taken into custody by local residential police and agents from the 610 Office. Later, the two practitioners were sent to and are now being held at the Gejiu City Detention Center.

18. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Fengqi Unlawfully Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
It has been learned that Ms. Liu Fengqi, 51, a practitioner from Changsha City, Hunan Province, has recently been unlawfully sentenced to forced labor. She has been taken to the Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province.
19. [Tianjin] Additional Information on the Detention of Practitioner Ms. Li Fengyuan
Ms. Li Fengyuan is a practitioner from Nanyanwo Village in Bamencheng Town, Baochi District, Tianjin. At around 8:00 p.m. on August 5, 2007, Ms. Li rode a bicycle to Dashanzhuang Village in Bamencheng Town to distribute truth clarifying materials. She was taken into custody by officers from the Bamencheng Town Police Station, and is being held at the Baochi District Detention Center.
At 10:00 a.m. on August 6, members of the Baochi District 610 Office and officers from the Bamencheng Town Police Station arrived at Ms. Li's home for an unlawful search. The officers confiscated a photocopier, Falun Dafa books, and many other items.
20. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Seven Practitioners, Including Mr. Zhao Bingheng, Face Unlawful Sentencing
On April 20, 2007, seven practitioners from Chicheng County were taken into custody and later placed under arrest. They are: Mr. Zhao Bingheng, Ms. Chen Haiyan, Mr. Wang Yuhai, Ms. Wang Yuzhen, Ms. Wang Yufeng, Ms. Guo Xiulin, and Ms. Lin Cuilian. They remain in custody in various detention centers in Zhangjiakou City, Huailai County, and in Chicheng County. Their families have been denied visitation.
It has been learned that Ms. Guo Xiulin, who is being held at the Huailai County Detention Center has been bedridden. Her family bought medicine when they visited her at the detention center. Officials did not grant visitation and did not even allow the medicine to be delivered.
Ms. Chen Haiyan is being held at the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center. Her 70-year-old mother and her sister-in-law went to talk to the head of the Chicheng County State Security Division, asking to visit her. Their request was denied.

21. [Shandong City] Several Practitioners in Biguo Town Taken Away by 610 Office
At around 11:00 a.m. on July 11, 2007, Ms. Zou Wenxiang, a 70-year-old practitioner from Xigouzi Village in Biguo Town, had just returned home after after taking a cow (or ox) out to feed. Two police officers then forcibly took her to a brainwashing center in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province.
On the morning of July 27, two officers from the Biguo Town 610 Office beat Mr. Liu Shuwen, a practitioner in his seventies from Yingzhuangkuang Village in Goushan Town, at the Daxiawu Farm Market. After being kicked and punched, Mr. Liu's nose and mouth bled. The two police officers then carried him to a police vehicle and drove to an undisclosed place.
On the morning of July 13, 2007, officers from the Biguo Town 610 Office forcibly took Ms. Qiu Cuimin, a practitioner in her fifties from Xigouzi Village in Biguo Town, away from her home. Ms. Qiu's whereabouts are unknown.
Practitioners Ms. Yu Yunxia, Ms. Ou Cuimei, and Ms. Chi Guilian, from Biguo Village in Biguo Town, were also taken to an unknown place by members of the Biguo Town 610 Office.
22. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zheng Yan, a Practitioner from the Taoyuan Area in Zhongshan District, Taken into Custody on the Morning of August 6, 2007, by Bayi Road Police Station While Clarifying the Truth
23. [Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Xianyun Taken into Custody by 610 Office
On August 2, 2007, four or five officers from the Zhangqiu City 610 Office suddenly broke into the clothing store operated by Ms. Song Xianyun in Dangjia Town. Ms. Song's under-aged child (gender unknown) was alone in the store at the time. Later, Ms. Song was forcibly taken away by the police when she stepped into the store. The child was very afraid after witnessing these events. Ms. Song is being held at the Jinan City Detention Center in Shandong Province. Her family has been denied visits.

24. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Jinxian Taken Away by 610 Office - Money Extorted From Her Family
At around 5:00 p.m. on July 28, 2007, five officers from the Baoding City 610 Office and the State Security Division broke into practitioner Ms. Wang Jinxian's home. They unlawfully searched the place and confiscated Falun Dafa books and a portrait of Falun Gong's founder, several tape recorders, and MP4 players. They took Ms. Wang Jinxian away with them. The police released Ms. Wang after extorting 2,000 yuan from her family.
25. [Hubei Province] Luotian County Police Transferred Ms. Li Ping's Case to Court for Trial
Practitioner Ms. Li Ping and her non-practitioner brother-in-law Mr. Yu Chunming from Luotian County, Hubei Province were taken into custody by the Political Security Section of the Luotian County Police Department in early July 2007. Mr. Yu has been released. Officials at the Political Security Section lied to Ms. Li's husband saying that if he paid a guarantee deposit of 15,000 yuan, they would release Ms. Li. In reality, the Political Security Section processed the arrest warrant and transferred Ms. Li Ping's case to the court for a trial and unlawful sentencing.
Mr. Yu Chunming's taxi cab is still being unlawfully held by the police.

Mr. Han Jinzhong, a practitioner from Urumqi City, was taken into custody in early August 2007. He had been unlawfully sent to forced labor two times between December 2000 and December 2001, and between August 2003 and October 2003, when he was held at the Changji Forced Labor Camp in the Wujiaqu area. The police beat him so brutally that his eardrum was ruptured.
31. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Ms. Wu Bilin and Mr. Liu Yunchao Taken into Custody
On August 6, 2007, Ms. Wu Bilin and Mr. Liu Yunchao, practitioners from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, went to the family quarters of the No. 288 Factory in Huangpi District, Wuhan City to clarify the truth and persuade others to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. Officers from the Huangpi District Police Department took them into custody after receiving reports.
At 9:00 p.m. that night, Ms. Wu Bilin was taken away by officials from the Laoding Street Neighborhood Administration Office and officers from the Laodong Police Station. Her whereabouts are unknown. Mr. Liu Yunchao was transferred to the Huangpi District Detention Center in Wuhan City.
