San Francisco: Protesting the Deportation of Taiwanese Falun Gong Practitioners by the Hong Kong Government (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On July 1, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from San Francisco assembled in front of the Chinese Consulate to protest the deportation of Taiwanese practitioners from Hong Kong at the behest of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Practitioners also supported the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin in Hong Kong.
New York: Falun Gong Practitioners Attend the Independence Day Parade in Chinatown (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On July 1, 2007, the Chinese communities in New York held an Independence Day Parade in Chinatown. Many Chinese and Western groups attended. The Falun Gong group attracted a lot of attention. Many Chinese people praised them, saying, "Falun Gong is great!"
Falun Gong Practitioner Su Kezhen from Jingmen City, Hubei Province, Died As a Result of Persecution
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Su Kezhen was in her 50s and on the veterinary staff in Tuanlin Town, Jingmen City. She suffered a broken leg while participating in the repair of a reservoir when she was 15 years old, leaving her permanently disabled. Unable to walk after the injury, the pain was very hard for her to endure. Though the incident happened while she was at work, the authorities were unconcerned about it.
