Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Meng Shujuan was arrested on June 30, 2007, and is presently being held at the Diaobingshan City Detention Center. Ms. Meng, in her sixties, is extremely weak and is in peril, however, the city's Party Committee chief Li Dejun and Political and Judiciary Committee chief Wang Jingxue still refuse to release Ms. Meng.

2. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Wu Yanguo Suffers from Torture-Induced Cerebral Concussion Due to Severe Beatings

Dingzhou City Police Department's National Security Division chief Ma Tiezhu and Tiexi Police Station chief Liu Jianli led a group of policemen. They broke into 61-year-old practitioner Ms. Wu Yanguo's home on June 25, 2007 when Ms. Wu was making lunch. They forcibly took her away.

It was heard yesterday that policemen headed by Ma Tiezhu brutally beat Ms. Wu, leading to a cerebral concussion. Ms. Wu was then carried to the Chengbei Detention Center. Detention center officials refused to accept Ms. Wu because of her poor health. Police then sent her to the Dingzhou City Detention Center where she is presently being held.

3. [Jiangsu Province] Persecution of Practitioners in Zhenjiang City

Six policemen arrested 50-year-old practitioner Ms. Zhang Chunhua from Zhenjiang City at noon on July 2, 2007. We suspect Ms. Zhang is being held at the Dongwu Hotel Brainwashing Class. Two days prior to Ms. Zhang's arrest, policeman Xue Zhongde and two others from the Jiulijie Police Station had harassed Ms. Zhang at her home.

Practitioners Ms. Wu Hezhen, Ms. Gong Jinyu, Ms. Yang Guiying, Ms. Xue Fengzhen, Ms. Zuo Yin'ai, Ms. Chen Meilan, and Ms. Feng Yunxia are being held at the Dantuxin District Detention Center. Practitioners Ms. Yang Guizhen and Ms. Xue Fengzhen are in their seventies.

4. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Wuhan City National Security Division Authorities Arrest Practitioner Chen Ping

Personnel from the Wuhan City National Security Division arrested practitioner Ms. Chen Ping's non-practitioner husband on June 28, 2007 when he was seeing to his business in Shundao Street. Police put him into a hotel for three days and ordered him to tell them where Ms. Chen was. They released him when they arrested Ms. Chen on the fourth day.

Niugutu Police Station chiefs Jiang Zhijun and Suo Mingxin arrested practitioner Ms. Ma Qinghua on July 6, 2007 as she worked at the farm. Police put her into the Aohan Brainwashing Class. Practitioner Mr. Yang Yangeng is also being held there.

Personnel from the National Security Division arrested practitioners Ms. Tang Haihua, Mr. Xue Jianhua, Mr. Wei Jianxin and a non-practitioner driver on July 7, 2007. Mr. Wei has been released, but the others are being held at the Aohan Detention Center.

Personnel from the Taihe District Xiaolingzi Police Station in Jinzhou City arrested practitioner Mr. Liu Litao's wife Ms. Zhao Shulan at 8:00 p.m. on July 9, 2007. Ms. Zhao is presently being held at the Xiaolingzi Police Station where she was interrogated.

7. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Supplemental Information Regarding the Arrest of Practitioners Li Xiumin and Huo Junmei

Personnel from the Xinhua Police Station arrested practitioners Ms. Li Xiumin and Ms. Huo Junmei in Xishanzhuang Township, Xinhua District the night of May 23, 2007 and then transferred the two to the Shijiazhuang City No. 2 Detention Center. They have reported the practitioners' cases to the district's procurator's office and planned to sentence them to imprisonment.

8. [Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Five practitioners from a store near the Wafangdian City No. 4 Middle School were arrested at 11:00 a.m. on July 9, 2007. The police confiscated some equipment.

9. [Xiamen City, Fujian Province] Police Arrest Practitioner Xiang Benzi and Ransack His Home

The police followed practitioner Mr. Xiang Benzi from Xiamen City for three months and then arrested him on February 5, 2007. They ransacked his home and put him into the city's No. 1 Detention Center. His case has been transferred to the city's Siming Court.

11. [Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province] Practitioner Huang Xianfa Still Being Held

Practitioner Mr. Huang Xianfa from Yong'an Township, Jiujiang County was working in a shoe store in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Someone reported him to police when he explained the facts about Falun Gong to local people. Personnel from the city's Wuxing District Police Department arrested him on June 26, 2007. Mr. Huang is presently being held at the police department's detention center. About twenty of his colleagues and his wife signed an appeal to request his release, but he is still in detention.

13. [Quzhou County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Zheng Jianfang Arrested - Home Ransacked

Practitioner Mr. Zheng Jianfang lives in Zhengzhuang Village, Disitan Township, Quzhou County. He went to the county's No.1 Middle School to pay his child's tuition the morning of July 9, 2007. He explained the facts about Falun Gong in the school, and someone reported him to the police. Personnel from the county's 610 Office and from the county police department's National Security Section arrested him at the school and then ransacked his home. They confiscated some Dafa books, a VCD player and a satellite receiver. Mr. Zheng is presently being held at the county's detention center.

14. [Jilin Province] Five of the Seven Arrested Practitioners in Helong Town, Nong'an County Have Been Released

15. [Jilin Province] Five Practitioners were Sentenced at the Jilin City Court

Chuanying District Court agents in Jilin City sentenced practitioners Mr. Zhao Yingjie, Mr. Zhao Guoxing, Ms. Wang Liqiu, Ms. Liu Yuhe and Ms. Mu Chunhong on July 10, 2007. According to witnesses, many special agents were present throughout the court. Five policemen arrested three middle-aged female practitioners and put them into an unlicensed white police vehicle.

16. [Tianjin] Supplemental Information Regarding the Arrest of Practitioners Gao Yan'e and Zhang Surong

Personnel from the Yinliu Town Police Station, from the Ji County National Security Division and from the 610 Office arrested practitioners Ms. Gao Yan'e and Ms. Zhang Surong on July 2, 2007. The arrest happened as the practitioners were distributing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. The two practitioners are being held at the Ji County's Qilifeng Detention Center.

Police ransacked the two practitioners' homes in their family's absence. They confiscated a laptop computer, a desktop computer, an inkjet printer, a laser printer, a hard drive, 26 bottles of ink, a paper cutter, a few boxes of paper, five MP3 players, three HP printer cartridges, several removable discs, and four satellite dishes which receive the New Tang Dynasty TV programs. They also arrested Ms. Gao's daughter Ms. Hao Xiaojing from the Langfang City Foreign Language University and tried to arrest Ms. Gao's husband who had lived in exile.

17. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Supplemental Information Regarding the Arrest of Practitioner Li Zhenhua

Jilin City police arrested practitioner Ms. Li Zhenhua the afternoon of June 14, 2007. They took her cell phone and phone book and harassed Ms. Li's brother, her sister and her daughter. They ransacked her older brother's home in Jiaohe City on June 17, 2007. The persecutors confiscated three copies of Zhuan Falun, a picture of Master, and some Dafa materials. Local policemen also interrogated her sister-in-law. Ms. Li is presently held at a detention center in Jilin City.

18. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Feng Sulan Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Feng Sulan is from Panguanying Village, Liushouying Town, Funing County, Qinhuangdao City. Personnel from the county's National Security Division and the county's 610 Office arrested her the morning of June 19, 2007 as she explained the facts about Falun Gong at the Songzhuang Market. Ms. Feng is presently being held at the county's detention center.

19. [Tianjin] Practitioner Zhu Xinhong Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Zhu Xinhong was reported to police as she distributed truth-telling materials in the Hongqiao District, Tianjin on May 31, 2007. She is presently being held at the district detention center.

20. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Arrest Practitioner Liu Wenjun

Personnel from the Zhaozhou County Minzhu Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Liu Wenjun at 7:00 p.m. on June 19, 2007.

21. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Zhang Xiuhua Arrested

Personnel from the Qiaodong Police Department, from the Security Bureau, from the Criminal Police Team and from the Shengli Street Police Station broke into practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiuhua's home and arrested Ms. Zhang at 10:00 a.m. on June 26, 2007. They confiscated a computer, a VCD player, 2,000 yuan in cash, Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials. Ms. Zhang is presently being held at the Shisanli Detention Center.

22. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Persecution of Practitioner Zhang Shuxing

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Shuxing explained the facts of Falun Gong to a neighbor surnamed Pan in March 2003, but later personnel from the Developmental District Wanli Police Station arrested him. Police put him in handcuffs and shackles and connected the two. Mr. Zhang was sentenced to three years of forced labor. His family paid over 20,000 yuan to a number of people to get him released.

Police arrested Mr. Zhang again in June 2007 for explaining the facts about Falun Gong. He is sentenced to three years of forced labor and is incarcerated at the Dalian City Forced Labor Camp.

23. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Mr. Xu Feng Sentenced to Nine Years in Prison, Practitioner Mr. Tang Chaoyu Sentenced to Eight and a Half Years

24. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Li Zhengwen and Gao Yueying Arrested

Practitioners Mr. Li Zhengwen and Ms. Gao Yueying from Xushui County, Baoding City were arrested the morning of July 9, 2007. They are presently being held at the county detention center. Police confiscated a satellite dish, a laptop computer, a printer and some Dafa books.

25. [Shandong Province] Practitioner Sun Xiulan Has Been Held at the Jinan City Women's Prison for Two Years

Personnel from the Zhangjialou Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Sun Xiulan from Jiaonan City, Shandong Province and put her into the Qingdao City Dashan Detention Center. During detention Ms. Liu suffered from heart diseases, high blood pressure, vertigo and back pain. She could not walk or sit straight. She was sent to the Jinan City Prison twice, but the second time they denied her admission. Police eventually put her into the Jinan City Women's Prison. She was put into the old and weak team but was made to work daily from early morning to 8:00 p.m. Ms. Sun was forced to take certain unknown drugs in addition to performing the heavy labor. She is extremely weak. When her family visited her the officials monitored their conversation.

26. [Duchang County, Jiangxi Province] Practitioner Cao Jinzhen's Home Ransacked

Personnel from the Duchang County National Security Division ransacked practitioner Ms. Cao Jinzhen's home the morning of July 6, 2007. Ms. Cao was not at home. Police confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun and threatened her family in attempts to find her whereabouts.

27. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Personnel from the 610 Office Failed in Attempt to Put a Retired Teacher into a Brainwashing Class

Practitioner Mr. Qiu Zhicheng, an employee from the Jianyang City Dongxi Nitrogen Fertilizer Factory, was arrested and put into the Yingjie Town Er'ehu Brainwashing Class on July 4, 2007.

The Yulong Primary School principal recently often called the family of practitioner Mr. Hu, a retired teacher from the school. The principal ordered the family to send Mr. Hu to the Er'ehu Brainwashing Class. Otherwise, the whole family would have to attend the brainwashing class. The persecution plot failed because Mr. Hu was not at home.

29. [Liaoning Province] Persecution of Practitioners at Dalian University

At least six faculty members at Dalian University are being persecuted for practicing Falun Gong. Two faculty members were downgraded from faculty positions to staff positions. One of the faculty member's salaries was reduced by 20%. Three other faculty members were dismissed from their positions.

30. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Cao Fengying Arrested

Personnel from the Shenyang City Police Department arrested practitioner Ms. Cao Fengying and ransacked her home in the Shenhe District Leshi Residential Community in Shenyang City at 2:00 p.m. on July 9, 2007. Ms. Cao's family inquired about her whereabouts in the city police department and at the Danan Police Station, but they still had not obtained any information by 10:00 p.m. that day.

Personnel from the Huiji District Xincheng Police Station in Zhengzhou City arrested practitioner Ms. Liu Zhenni in June 2007. The police ordered Ms. Liu to pay a 1,000 yuan fine. Ms. Liu did not cooperate with the police. She is presently held at a detention center.

Officer Zhao Shengyu from the Baoqing County Wanjinshan Police Station colluded with three policemen from the county's National Security Division. They broke into practitioner Ms. Liu Chunxia' home at noon on July 10, 2007. They ransacked the home and found some Dafa books while Ms. Liu and her husband were working at their farm. The persecutors hid in the home and arrested Ms. Liu when she returned. They immediately put Ms. Liu into the county's detention center.
