Solemn Declaration

In June 2000 I went to Beijing to appeal [for Falun Gong]. For this I was illegally imprisoned for almost three months. Under the persecution and the pressure, I signed a guarantee statement promising not to go to Beijing to appeal, which was contrary to my convictions. In 2001, during the period that I was illegally held in a forced labor camp by the Chinese Communist Party, I did not study the Fa deeply and did not understand the Fa clearly. In this evil persecution environment, driven by attachments to fear and the desire for comfort, I was brainwashed and went astray. In addition, I coordinated with the evil to confiscate some Dafa books. I committed a big mistake and I am very sorry for not appreciating Master's kindness in saving me.

In late February 2005, a fellow practitioner sent me a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. After reading it, I awakened as if from a dream and found that I had been walking a long and tortuous path during these years. I now solemnly declare that the guarantee statement I signed and and all my words and actions that do not conform with Dafa are void. I must firmly cultivate Falun Dafa and walk the path Master has arranged. I will treat validating Dafa and saving people as my own duties, believe in Master and the Fa, cultivate diligently, reach Consummation, and return home with Master.

I went to her funeral, and although I was away from home only a few days, the district 610 Office used its despicable methods to force me into a brainwashing session. It was in fact illegal confinement. Because the 610 Office itself did not have any legitimate reason to arrest me, they claimed that it was a study organized for transferred communist party cadres. In the forced brainwashing session, they treated everyone like prisoners and brainwashed Dafa practitioners as if they were criminals. I questioned why they arrested me, and no one gave me a reason. However, they told me, "You must be in this brainwashing session because you are Falun Gong, not a transferred cadre. Your problem is simple. If you write the three statements, you can get out." Because I had not studied the Fa deeply, my righteous thoughts were not strong and I did not pass the test for a Dafa disciple. I wrote the so-called three statements even though I knew it was wrong and let down Master and Dafa. After that, the "instructor" told me, "Because your family member just died, your sentiment is very frail. 'Inviting' you to come at this time makes it easy to reach our goal [of 'transforming' you]." I grieved endlessly. This method the evil hit me with when I was down was so despicable. In order to make up for my own error, I now hereby solemnly declare that all words and actions I've done in the forced brainwashing session that do not conform with Dafa are void. I also solemnly declare that I do not give up firmly cultivating Dafa. I will always be a Dafa disciple and will firmly cultivate to the end.
