(Clearwisdom.net) About two months ago, I heard that several practitioners in my hometown were illegally arrested. I felt very bad and wondered about their status, yet I could not think of ways to help. Then with a hint from Teacher, I decided to visit my hometown so that I could help practitioners there to clarify the truth.
As an elderly man of about 80 years old, my decision worried my son—who is not a practitioner—especially since there had been arrests. However, the decision was not difficult for me, so I went ahead and left for my hometown.
Upon returning to my hometown, I did not visit my sister, who is more than 90 years old, right away. Instead, I went around looking for practitioners. In the evening I stayed at a fellow practitioner’s place. After hearing the purpose of my trip, several practitioners were notified. Nine of us, including me, gathered in a small room and shared our understandings.
The local practitioners first talked about how the five practitioners were arrested: some were distributing fliers and were reported to the police; some were arrested at work and some at home. The police were in uniform during the arrests, but their actions were like bandits: they searched everywhere and robbed as much as 10,000 yuan or more. Even the passersby who witnessed this were very angry.
After relating the recent events, the local practitioners asked me to share my thoughts and expressed their appreciation for my coming back to help them. In fact, I also had many attachments that needed to be gotten rid of. Since fellow practitioners asked me to talk, I thus shared my understandings.
I said we need to do the three things well. First of all, we have to study the Fa well and have strong righteous thoughts, so that the rotten demons attempting to damage the Fa are unable to interfere. Good Fa study also ensures that distributing "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party," as well as asking people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its subordinate organizations, will go smoothly. The Fa-rectification is moving forward constantly; we are required to constantly update our understandings. The vicious CCP is actually not that frightening. Many worldly people have recognized the nature of the CCP and joined the current of quitting the CCP. So far, more than 18 million people have declared their withdrawals from the CCP and its subordinate organizations. Overseas practitioners are helping non-practitioners to conduct a thorough independent investigation into the labor camps and prisons in China. The CCP is now in a difficult situation. Although it can use its power to arrest several practitioners so as to intimidate practitioners with attachments to fear, this will not disturb practitioners who have strong righteous thoughts.
After listening to what I said, the practitioners asked me for truth-clarification materials. I gave them the materials I had brought. They were very happy to see the materials. I also told them I would continue mailing them materials later, just like I did in the past, since as practitioners we are one body.
The next day, after hearing that I would clarify the truth to my relatives, one female practitioner decided to go with me.
We went to the family of a high ranking officer. The officer was out of town, so we clarified the truth to his wife and asked her to quit the CCP. The practitioner told her: "Falun Dafa is good. Falun Dafa is the heavenly law. Falun Dafa will bring us blessings. That is why this elderly gentleman traveled thousands of miles back to his hometown. He came here for you to have a good future. It is all right for your husband to be a high ranking officer, but only after quitting the CCP and its subordinate organizations can this person remove the mark of the beast and have a good future." The wife asked us several questions, and we explained things to her. Pretty soon, she wrote the names of all the people in her family—three of them, and agreed to quit the CCP and its subordinate organizations. She also agreed to accept truth-clarification fliers and some small truth-clarification cards that one can carry around.
Next, we went to another relative's home to clarify the truth. On the way, the other practitioner took the opportunity to clarify the truth to the taxi driver. After only a few sentences, the driver agreed to quit the CCP. Compared to this practitioner, I felt I did very poorly.
This practitioner is the wife of a practitioner who was arrested two months ago. Her husband has asked many people to quit the CCP and its subordinate organizations, and more than 480 people agreed. After her husband was arrested, she was also detained for 15 days with no reason. As soon as she was released, she joined the current of Fa-rectification.
We continued visiting several families to clarify the truth. One of them was a little far away, so I went there myself. This family has many children and is quite poor. Both the father and son have cancer. About one year earlier, I asked them to quit the CCP and its subordinate organizations and they did. When I went this time I found the father’s health had improved. Seeing how I was so healthy at an elderly age, the entire family surrounded me, saying, "Falun Dafa is good." They also liked the small truth-clarification card I brought very much.
Upon hearing why I was there, they called the practitioners in the mountain area one by one as well as some who did not practice yet. One of them was a party secretary in the village. He could not make it himself, so he asked his son to come. I clarified truth to the son and told him the importance of quitting the CCP. The son was still confused: "If my father quit the CCP, his salary of 400 yuan per month will be gone." I told him quitting the CCP comes from one’s heart. One can quit the CCP using a pseudonym, so it doesn't affect one's salary. As long as one does not continue to do bad things together with the CCP, this person will have a safe future. Upon hearing this, he wrote a statement to quit the CCP, and also promised me his father would quit. Several days later, the son called me saying his father had agreed to quit the CCP. There was an elderly practitioner who had little money. She gave me 2,000 yuan in private—the money she had spent a long time to save—and told me to use it for truth-clarification materials. In this way, several people in the mountain area agreed to quit the CCP. More importantly, they learned the facts about Dafa.
When I left the village, the party secretary came with a motor vehicle, saying, "I will give you a ride wherever you want to go." Therefore I was able to save more people. I knew this was arranged by Teacher. I thus called some practitioners who stopped practicing after July 20, 1999, and told them not to lose this precious opportunity. After sharing experiences and thoughts, they agreed to continue practicing.
Finally I went to visit my elderly sister, who was 95 years old. My sister told me that a nephew-in-law did not believe in or respect Dafa. As a result, his house caught on fire. He passed away, leaving three sons and one daughter. This is an example of karmic retribution.
In summary, during this trip, because many people have awakened, they understand that Falun Dafa is good, and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" is good. As a result, the process of asking them to quit the CCP went smoothly. I think the trip was worthwhile.
Finally, I would like to conclude my sharing with a poem from Teacher:
For the Good of the World
Make clear the truth,
and drive off foul spirits.
Spread widely the Nine Commentaries,
and the wicked Party shall fade.
With righteous thoughts,
save the world's people.
I just don't believe their consciences
are irretrievably lost.
