(Clearwisdom.net) My mother is a Dafa practitioner and she is more than ninety years old . She has believed in Buddhism all her life. She had many illnesses before she began practicing Falun Gong, including bone spurs, back and leg pains, low blood pressure, and frequent dizziness. She could not walk and was essentially paralyzed. She went to many hospitals but none of them could help. She began to practice Falun Gong in 1995, and became healthy again within half a month. Our whole family is very grateful to Teacher. My mother would tell whoever she met how wonderful Dafa is. Many people have begun the practice because of her.
My mother went to the park between four and five o'clock in the morning every day. Her health improved remarkably and everyone who knew her would say that she looked better and better. The group exercise was banned on July 20, 1999, but my mother persisted and kept studying Dafa and doing the exercises at home. Relying on her steadfast belief in and deep respect for Teacher, she prevailed. Through her cultivation, Teacher inspired her wisdom. She could read the entire book, Zhuan Falun, in spite of her being illiterate.
The evil authorities began to persecute practitioners on July 20, 1999. When people from the police station or local neighborhood organization went to her home to harass her, she told them without fear that she became healthy because of practicing Falun Gong. She validated Dafa using her own experiences, and in the meantime, she helped fellow practitioners by doing whatever she could contribute.
Wonders occurred quite often when she studied Dafa. She saw that every word in Zhuan Falun turned gold in color and flashed. She could read words that she had not known before. She happily told people that indeed Dafa is God-sent. She urged her fellow practitioners to never give up.
When the old forces interfered with my mother through the form of illness karma,
she said: "I am Teacher's disciple. No one is qualified to persecute me." She cleared away the interference as soon as her thoughts turned righteous. She said: "I will just listen to Teacher. I will follow Teacher's direction and do the three things well and as soon as I can. I want to follow Teacher to go home."
