Can We Allow the Treacherous To Run The Nation?
(Clearwisdom.net) Over two thousand years ago, Shang Yang
(390?-338 B.C.) advocated the doctrine "let the treacherous rule
the kindhearted." He stated in "Shangjunshu" (Shang's Article) that
a nation governed by good people resulted in chaos and destruction,
while a nation led by the treacherous would become strong and well
ruled. Shang Yang proposed to have gangsters and criminals govern
the common people, to have the wicked ward off the kindhearted, and
that this was the only way to maintain a dictatorship for
criminals.
