(Clearwisdom.net) We recently had an experience-sharing event in our area attended by 13 practitioners. When we were sending righteous thoughts on the hour, someone unexpectedly knocked on the door. It turned out to be the police officer in charge of the hall. (He had already positioned himself correctly for the future by withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.). The host let him in and talked with him briefly. Then he left.

Everyone's heart moved by this sudden incident. Some people sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements behind him, some people send righteous thoughts to keep him from reporting the group, and some people kept sending righteous thoughts despite the interruption. When the host called the police officer afterwards, the officer told him that he was only stopping by and would not have walked in had he known so many people were there.

Regarding this event, some practitioners said he should not have been allowed to enter the righteous field, while others wondered if he came because he knew so many people were there; they considered his visit interference. In my opinion, it was absolutely not a coincidence, and it targeted our minds. This simple event has caused such strong turbulence among us, becoming a vivid reminder for each one of us to take stock of our own cultivation states.

What I wanted to share is my understanding regarding the foundation for sending righteous thoughts. I believe our minds are the basis for doing things. If we do things for others, we belong to the lives of the new cosmos and thus have the correct foundation. If we do things for ourselves, which is selfish and is protecting the principles of the old cosmos, then we have the wrong foundation. In preparing truth-clarification materials, some practitioners were arrested, but some have been doing it without interruption. Could the problem be our foundation? If a practitioner does Dafa work to offer sentient beings salvation, then it is in accordance with the Fa. However, if a practitioner does it to accumulate virtue and validate himself, then his actions are based on selfishness, and the old forces have excuses to take advantage of him.

Reflecting on this incident made me think that, in my opinion, we can only do what Master requires of us when we can keep our hearts rock-solid like diamond and send the purest righteous thoughts. As Master taught in the Fa, "If you are able to succeed in improving yourself this way, what you do then, with a pure heart, will be the best and most sacred."
