(Clearwisdom.net) During the process of resisting the persecution, with Master's help, Dafa disciples have advanced from not knowing what to do at the beginning to eventually having become mature in our thinking about this. Master has gone to a lot of trouble for us. The persecution should have ended a long time ago, but it still continues due to Dafa disciples' failure to comprehend the Fa from Fa's perspective and to wholeheartedly believe in Master and the Fa. This gives evil beings and elements a chance to take advantage of our omissions.
Master has repeatedly told us in his lectures to thoroughly negate the arrangement of the old forces. We shouldn't even acknowledge the very existence of the old forces. We talk about thoroughly negating the arrangement of the old forces, but as soon as something happens, our hearts are often moved. Our belief in Master and the Fa would then be affected and we were not able to totally negate the arrangements. We were taken advantage of by the old forces and walked the path the old forces arranged. This is the main reason why the persecution is still continuing.
The fundamental reason for the failure to wholeheartedly believe in Master and the Fa is due to one word - selfishness.
We have made our choices in cultivating Falun Dafa. We must get rid of the selfish nature of the cosmos of the past and assimilate to the nature of the new cosmos, which is to always "consider others first so as to attain the righteous Enlightenment of selflessness and altruism" (from Non-Omission in Buddha Nature, Essentials for Further Advancement). Thus, during the process of our cultivation, we ought to study and assimilate to the Fa Master taught us and do as Master said. When we truly believe in Master and the Fa wholeheartedly without wavering in our hearts at anytime, and when we do only as Master says, then we are reborn from the old cosmos and become a life assimilated to the new cosmos. Then who would dare to persecute us; who on earth could persecute us?
The root of fear is selfishness. Why does one have fear? It is because of selfishness. Fear of being persecuted, fear of losing one's spouse and children, fear of losing parents and brothers and sisters, fear of losing one's job, fear of losing self-interests, fear that our family members will lose the good life, fear of losing one's own life, etc. It is all rooted in selfishness and based on the fear of what will happen to "me", instead of remembering the prehistoric vow that we made. We regard the false appearance in this world as the truth and take the parts we play in this world as our true selves. We suffer because of our pursuits, and we ache when we lose a little.
We should know that the "fear to lose" something doesn't necessarily mean you can "keep" something. Every person in ordinary society is afraid of death. But can any of them escape from it? Master saved us from hell and arranged a fruit status at different consummation levels for us, taught us this great Fa and took all the karma from us. Master didn't ask for anything from us. The only wish Master has for us is to be qualified Dafa disciples according to the requirements of Dafa and to assist Master with the Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings.
We already know what kind of future is awaiting us. So why are we still attached to illusions in this human world then? Aren't egoism and selfishness strong attachments? When we fear something, it will possibly happen to us. Master has explained to us clearly the Fa principles in this respect. Why aren't we listening? Master told us in his lectures that everything that is happening in Mainland China is caused by Dafa disciples' own attachments.
Master stated in Zhuan Falun,
"If you always believe that you are ill, you will probably make yourself sick as a result. Because your xinxing has dropped to the level of everyday people, an average person will, of course, have illnesses." (Zhuan Falun, 2000 Translation Version)
Master also said,
"As a practitioner, if you always think that it is an illness, you are actually asking for it. If you ask for an illness, it will come inside your body. As a practitioner, your xinxing level should be high. You should not always worry that it is an illness, for this fear of illness is an attachment and it can bring you trouble just the same." (Zhuan Falun, 2000 Translation Version)
When we are afraid of persecution out of selfishness and protect our self-interests with human attachments and human methods, haven't our xinxing standards dropped to the level of non-cultivators? Isn't it an easy thing for the evil beings and their elements in other dimensions to persecute a non-cultivator?
We are Dafa disciples who are walking on the path toward divinity. We are the ones who are going to safeguard the future universe. We are the ones who should eliminate the evil. How could we be afraid of the evil? How can the evil persecute a God? How dare the evil persecute a God? It should run for its life! So it all depends on how much faith we have in Master and the Fa and if we can believe in Master and the Fa wholeheartedly. If one believes oneself to be an indomitable and great God, there will be no such thing as persecution.
Master told us in "What's to Fear?",
"Should you have fear, it will seize upon you;
If thoughts are righteous, evil will collapse;
The cultivator's mind, is loaded with Fa;
Send righteous thoughts, and rotten demons explode;
Gods walk the earth, validating the Fa." ("What's to Fear?" Hong Yin Volume II Translation Version A)
Master also told us in Zhuan Falun,
"How does it protect you? If you are a true practitioner, our Falun will safeguard you. I am rooted in the universe. If anyone can harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe." (Zhuan Falun, 2000 Translation Version)
Master also told us that now when Dafa disciples send righteous thoughts, we need to look for evil beings. Let's think about it, when you are afraid, aren't the evil beings hiding in your dimensional field? Why don't you eliminate them as a protector of the universe! Why are you afraid of them?!
The form that the old forces use to persecute Dafa disciples is not limited to arrest and detention. There are many other forms such as sickness karma, interference from the demon of lust; making you feel downcast and making you seek comfort and then forget to validate the Fa and unable to fulfill your cultivation in the end. Fear is the biggest obstacle that is preventing Dafa disciples from assisting Master with the Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings. We have Master with us, we have the Fa to guide us, what is there to fear? If Dafa disciples could have righteous thoughts and righteous actions, wholeheartedly believe in Master and the Fa, and do the three things well according to Master's requirements, the evil would dare not persecute us. It is when we have attachments that the evil will take advantage of our omissions and persecute us. The more we are afraid of being persecuted, the more likely we are to be persecuted. Because when your xinxing does not meet the standard for a Dafa disciple, Master and the Gods cannot help you, and they worry for you. Without Master's help, it is quite easy for the evil to persecute you.
Whether we can end this persecution or not depends on each Dafa disciple. If all the Dafa disciples can wholeheartedly believe in Master and the Fa, let go all the attachments, do the three things well according to Master's requirements, we could end this persecution immediately. Otherwise, not only we ourselves will be persecuted, other sentient beings will also suffer the consequences. Those who participated in the persecution will possibly be eliminated as they have committed crimes against Dafa; your relatives, friends, neighbors and colleagues will be too frightened to accept the facts of Falun Dafa because of the persecution that has happened to you, and thus they lose the opportunity of being saved.
In many practitioners' articles, I found most of them started to look inward for their attachments after being persecuted. Why not get rid of the attachment before these things happen? Why not regularly examine ourselves according to the Fa and get rid of our attachments and take the initiative to eliminate the evil? Why do we look for attachments only after persecution happens to us? Why are we always in a passive state?
We should be awakened by our lessons and setbacks. We can't afford to be muddle-headed. What is there to be attached to in this world? One day when I leave this world with Master, what am I going to do with my spouse, children, parents and brothers and sisters? What am I going to do with my house and other properties? Who is going to look after my family? If you have so many attachments with you, how could you leave this place?
Master said,
"Do you know what a magnificent thing it is for Dafa disciples to Consummate? Master has to take care of everything all around you. Is there any need for you to worry about anything?" (Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference)
Fellow practitioners, let go of all worldly attachments! We cannot reach Consummation with any attachment! Some practitioners can't let go of the attachment of fear; some can't let go of the attachment of sickness karma; some can't let go of the attachment of lust; some can't let go of sentimentalities; some can't let go of self-interests; some can't let go of the attachment of jealousy; some can't let go of the attachment to being a coordinator etc. Each of these attachments could be used by the evil to destroy you because the old forces' purpose is to destroy you. How can you do the three things well with so many attachments? We must not forget where our real home is. All the Gods are waiting for us to return. Sentient beings are waiting to be saved. Master is waiting for us to improve ourselves. Let's get rid of these attachments that shouldn't belong to us and try our best to save sentient beings. Let's end this persecution immediately and give Master the good news.
