(Clearwisdom.net) The 17th Party Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ratified Hu Jintao's "Scientific Concept of Development and Competitiveness" into the Party Constitution. It was appended to "Marxism", "Leninism", "Mao Tse-tung's Thoughts", and "The Three Represents", which form the guiding principles for the CCP's governance of the country.
The reality is, nobody believes in "Marxism", "Leninism", "Mao Tse-tung's Thoughts", and "The Three Represents" anymore, including people at the highest positions of the regime. These have also been condemned worldwide for the damage they have done. The "Three Represents" is even more reviled, and its inclusion into the CCP's Constitution is another sign of its inevitable end.
Hu Jintao's "Scientific Concept of Development and Competitiveness" will not save the CCP either. Science has brought mankind advanced material progress. Meanwhile, it has also brought the world twisted concepts, degenerated morality, severe environmental pollution, and other fundamental issues that harm mankind. Mankind must handle science properly in the future. Science itself cannot become the basis for mankind, nor can it be the foundation for establishing a nation.
The establishment of a country should be based on morality, as it is the basis for all things, including humanity. Lao Zi said, "Humans reflect the earth. Earth reflects the heavens. Heaven reflects the Dao. The Dao reflects nature." The "Dao" is what heaven, earth, and mankind have to follow. The existence and development of all things and beings are based on the Dao.
Morality is the foundation of a divinely-inspired culture. The "Dao" is the highest realm of any traditional culture, East or West. Morality is the criterion for judging good and bad. Correspondingly, a person is judged by his virtue. The great emperors, kings, generals and ministers in ancient China were consistently people of virtue.
By comparison, the CCP's corrupt officials are devoid of virtue and against morality. The CCP ideology classifies morality as a product of class-based society and the manifestation of an idea of the ruling class. In other words, it holds that morality is defined by whatever humans want it to be. This completely distorts the true meaning of the "Dao," because the "Dao" originally meant the highest way, which cannot be altered by humans. These two perspectives are fundamentally at odds.
Although Marxism talks about morality on the surface, it breaks morality down into terms like "slaveholder's morality", "feudal morality", "morality of the bourgeoisie", and "communist morality" etc. In fact, it has fundamentally changed the original meaning of morality. In its practices, the "Party Spirit" is higher than anything else, including morality and conscience, and this has turned many Party members from good people into bad people by forcing them to do things against their conscience and sense of morality.
So what is this "Party Spirit", and why is it so destructive? Plainly put, the "Party Spirit" is, "The interests of the Party are higher than anything else. One shall be able to do everything for the Party's interest. Anything done for the Party's interest is the most glorious." In order to deceive the Party members and the people, it added a most hypocritical statement, "because the Party represents the people." Having added this ridiculous lie, whatever it does is portrayed as the most glorious:
- Killing students in Tiananmen Square with tanks conforms to the "Party Spirit," and thus it is the most glorious.
- Persecuting Falun Gong conforms to the "Party Spirit." Many officers have tried their best to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, even though they are aware that Falun Gong is truly good.
- Secret agents have stopped at nothing to further the CCP's goals, including murder.
The people who have done these things are all humans who had conscience in their hearts, but they could not overcome the "Party Spirit."
The "Party Spirit" has poisoned the minds of more than a hundred million Party members, over a billion Chinese, and several generations of Chinese. It has destroyed the Chinese people's morality.
If you don't believe this, please take a look at the current Chinese society under the CCP regime. Society is full of prostitutes and gambling. The officials and businessmen make dirty deals under the table, and the government and underworld are one and the same. Where there is money to be made, public safety is not a consideration.
Morality is the foundation for establishing a nation and its long-term well-being. Virtue determines whether a person can be upright, and the same goes for a nation. Everything in the world is fragile and easily changed, but morality is eternal. If a nation wants to be prosperous and peaceful, it must be established upon morality. Only such a nation can gain heaven's assistance, the people's cooperation, have a unified country and united people, and win the respect of all nations and enjoy peace in the world.
