(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China contains reports of persecution that took place in 31 cities or counties in 13 provinces. Fifty four practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 41 practitioners were illegally arrested
1. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Liang Yening Under House Arrest for Seven Days
Shijiazhuang resident Mr. Liang Yening lives on the thirteenth floor of the twelfth Huajian Apartment Complex. Since the morning of September 19, 2007, several police officers have surrounded his home in an attempt to try to arrest him. The first four days, three police officers stood watch outside his door all day and then slept in front of his door at night. No one was allowed to get close to his door. Afterwards, the police went to guard the ground floor stairway entrance. Whenever a relative or friend went to visit Mr. Liang, a police officer would follow the visitor to try to break into Mr. Liang's home and arrest him.
Mr. Liang and his elderly mother are the only two people inside his home. The rest of the family members have not been allowed to go inside the house. Mr. Liang's mother suffers from cerebral palsy and needs to take medication every day. She is also dependent on others to care for her. She has not been able to take her medication for a week now because Mr. Liang is not able to go out to buy more for her. They have also run out of food.

2. [Beijing] On the Morning of September 11, 2007, Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhuang Yanhong was Arrested at Home and Her Home was Ransacked by Police

On September 12, 2007, Dafa practitioners Mr. Pan Yongfeng and Mr. Liu Changrui from Duozhuang Town, Mengyin County were arrested. Mr. Pan Yongfeng was sent to the Yishui Detention Center. Mr. Liu Changrui is illegally detained at the Mengyon Detention Center.

5. [Weifang, Shandong] Dafa Practitioner Yu Lili Illegally Imprisoned in a Forced Labor Camp
On the morning of July 24, 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. Yu Lili from Weicheng District was arrested by the police from Weicheng Branch Police Station and Furong Street Police Station. She was then sent to the Weifang Detention Center and later transferred to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp and persecuted. After the police ransacked Ms. Yu's home, they confiscated items such as a computer, printer, Dafa books, other Falun Dafa related materials, etc.
6. [Linyi, Shandong Province] Dafa Pracitioner Li Fuquan's Home Ransacked. Liu Changlian Arrested
On September 14, 2007, Zhang Debin from the Jiepai Town 610 Office in Menyin County and the police from Jiepai Police Station illegally broke into Mr. Li Fuquan's home, ransacked it, and confiscated his Dafa music cassettes, MP3s and blank boxes. They also arrested Ms. Liu Changlian, who is more than 70 years old.
7. [Jiaozhou, Shandong Province] Dafa Practitioner Du Shanying and Her Son Huang Bo Arrested
On the afternoon of September 26, 2007, Jiaozhou police illegally ransacked Ms. Du Shanying's home and then arrested Ms. Du and her son, who does not practice Falun Dafa. Ms. Du Shanying (in her fifties) and her son's whereabouts are currently unknown.
8. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioner Yang Fengju Harassed and Persecuted
In March 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Fengju of Baoding City was harassed by Wusi Road Police Station, North City District Branch Police Station and other government offices. To avoid further persecution, she has not been able to return home.
9. [Li County, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioners Cui Xiaoxian and Others Illegally Arrested
Xu Yonggang, assistant head at the Li County 610 Office, and Wang Junchang, police officer of Li County Police Station National Security Brigade, illegally arrested Dafa practitioners Ms. Cui Xiaoxian, Ms. Cui Shumei and Ms. Feng Wenzhen. At 4:00 a.m. on September 26, 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. Cui Xiaogai from Linbaoxin Village, Li County was also arrested.

10. [Laiyang, Shandong Province] Dafa Practitioner Wang Runlan Arrested
On September 26, 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Runlan, a teacher at Laiyang Elementary School, was arrested by police from Yantai Police Station. Currently, she is illegally detained at the brainwashing center at Laiyang Communist Party School.
11. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ren Shuxian, Wang Lihua and Zhu Xiangqin Imprisoned in Nangang District Women's Prison
Dafa practitioners Ms. Ren Shuxian, Ms. Wang Lihua and Ms. Zhu Xiangqin of Nancha District, Yichun City, were illegally arrested in May 2007. They were then sentenced to prison terms in July 2007, and are now imprisoned at Nangang District Women's Prison in Harbin City.
12. [Luan County, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioner Long Xiaoxi Arrested
On September 26, 2007, Dafa practitioner Mr. Long Xiaoxi from Luan County, Hebei Province was arrested by Xu Yunsheng, the local Chinese Communist Party secretary, and police officers from the Yangliuzhuang Police Station. His house was also ransacked.
13. [Hubei Province] Several Dafa Practitioners Transferred from Qinduankou to Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang
On March 20, 2007, several Dafa practitioners were transferred from Qinduankou to Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang.

14. [Wuji County, Hebei Province] Zhang Shuangpai Arrested
On September 27, 2007, Wuji County Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Shuangpai was arrested at home by the police. His computer, printers and other belongings were also illegally confiscated.
15. [Beijing] Dafa Practitioner Li Xiuhong Illegally Detained
On August 18, 2007, Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Xiuhong was arrested when he was distributing truth-clarification materials. His home was also ransacked. All of his Dafa books and related materials were confiscated. He is currently illegally detained and being persecuted at the Dianmen Police Station.
16. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioners Jin Ping and Others Arrested
On the evening of September 24, 2007, Dafa practitioners Ms. Jin Ping (in her fifties), Ms. Tong Ruifeng (in her sixties), and Mr. Wu Junshi (in her seventies) of Tanghai County, Tangshan City, went to distribute truth-clarification materials at the Seventh Farm in Tanghai County. They were arrested by police from the Seventh Farm Police Station. The police later ransacked Ms. Jin Ping's and Mr. Tong Ruifeng's homes. Currently, the three practitioners are detained at the Tanghai Detention Center.

17. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Update on Persecution of Dafa Practitioners Xu Xiaolong and Li Zhi
At around noon on September 16, 2007, ten police officers from Section One of Jinniu Police Station and Baiguolin Police Station of Chengdu City broke into practitioners Mr. Xu Xiaolong and Ms. Li Zhi's homes. They arrested both brother and sister and stole their personal belongings. They also stole 7,400 yuan from Mr. Xu Xiaolong.

18. [Chengdu, Sichuan] At around 9:00 p.m. on September 26, 2007, Dafa Practitioners Ms. Zhou Huimin and Mr. Li Cheng Were Arrested by the Police
19. [Wuhan City, Hubei Provine] Dafa Practitioner Cheng Dehan Illegally Sentenced to One-and-a-half Years of Forced Labor
Wuhan Dafa practitioner Mr. Cheng Dehan is about 30 years old. In September 2007, he was transferred from Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center in Jiangan District to the Second Brigade of Hewan Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City. He was illegally sentenced to one-and-a-half year of forced labor.

20. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Dafa Practitioner He Shuqiong Arrested
On September 13, 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. He Shuqiong of Jinjiang District, Chengdu, was arrested at home by police from the Jinjiang District 610 Office and Longzhou Road Police Station. They also confiscated her Dafa-related materials, Dafa books, and a computer. The police also arrested Ms. He's guests who were at her home, and took them to the police station. Currently, Ms. He Shuqiong is illegally detained and being persecuted at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center in Chengdu.
21. [Xiangfan City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioners Gao Xiang and Cheng Xiaobao Arrested
In the afternoon of September 24, 2007, Nie Xiaowu, head of the Xiangfan City 610 Office, led a team of police officers to arrest Dafa practitioner Mr. Gao Xiang and confiscate his computer. That same day, police from Zhongyuan Police Station of Xiangfan City also arrested Dafa practitioner Mr. Cheng Xiaobao.
22. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Update on Dafa Practitioners Arrested in Xiantao City
Practitioners who have been arrested in Xiantao City, Hubei Province include Mr. Zhang Zhibing, Ms. Zhong Danzhi, Ms. Zhang Xinjiao, Ms. Ceng Xiaojiao, Mr. Mao Jun, Ms. Shen Huanjiao, Mr. Zhou Tiancai, Ms. He Popo, Mr. Liu Jun, Mr. Chen Muying and Mr. Xiao Hu.
23. [Meizhou, Guangdong Province] Ye Xiufang and Three Other Dafa Practitioners Arrested
On the afternoon of September 26, 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. Ye Xiufang, 66, and three other practitioners were at home having a conversation, when more than 20 Chinese Communist Party officials broke into the house, arrested them, and confiscated Dafa books and other materials. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.
24. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Update on Dafa Practitioners Tan Weichang and Others
At around noon on September 23, 2007, Mr. Tan Weichang, Mr. Huang (about 40 years old) and another Dafa practitioner were repairing a computer at a home near Tangxia Village, Guangzhou City when they were arrested. All Dafa-related materials, books, and equipment were confiscated. They are now detained at the Yuexiu District Second Detention Center.
25. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Dafa Practitioners Li Zheng and Li Cheng Arrested
On the evening of September 26, 2007, Dafa practitioners Mr. Li Zheng and Mr. Li Cheng were arrested at home and their homes were ransacked by police from the Chenghua District National Security Brigade.
26. [Linan, Zhejiang] Dafa Practitioners Xu Jinghua and Qian Zhilian Arrested
At early dawn on September 25, 2007, Linan Dafa practitioners Ms. Xu Jinghua and Ms. Qian Zhilian were arrested by Linan Police. At around noon on September 26, officials from the Linan Political and Security Section ransacked their homes. They are currently detained at the Linan Detention Center.
27. [Xiangtan, Hunan Province] In September 2007, Dafa Practitioner Ms. Hu Dongxia of Manganese Mining Factory in Xiangtan was Arrested
28. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Dafa Practitioners Shang Zhenyu and Wang Suqing Arrested
On September 28, 2007, Dafa practitioners Ms. Shang Zhenyu and Ms. Wang Suqing of Yangliu Town, Wutongqiao, Leshan City were arrested by officials from the local police station and the town government. Ms. Shang Zhenyu is currently detained at the Brainwashing Camp of the Birth Planning Office in Leshan.

30. [Wuchang City, Heilongjiang] Dafa Practitioner Zhang Yali Arrested
On September 12, 2007, Zhan Zhigang, a police officer from the Wuchang National Security Brigade in Heilongjiang, arrested his former classmate's wife Ms. Zhang Yali again. Currently, Ms. Zhang is illegally detained at the Wuchang Detention Center.
During the last eight years, Ms. Zhang Yali has been arrested and detained six times. Her family has also been extorted of 70,000-80,000 yuan. For the last year, Ms. Zhang has been forced to leave her home to avoid further arrests. However, policeman Zhan Zhigang still harassed her family and workplace many times.
31. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Persecution Causes Yang Chuanjun to Lose Consciousness and Vomit Blood
In June 2007, Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Chuanjun was arrested by the police. Due to being severely persecuted, he often loses consciousness and vomits blood.
32. [Nongan County, Jinlin Province] Dafa Practitioners Sun Xiuying, Jiang Cheng and Fang Jinghui Arrested
At around midnight on September 24, 2007, a team of police from Gucheng Police Station, Nongan County, Jinlin Province, broke into Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Xiuying's home, illegally confiscated all her Dafa books, and arrested Ms. Sun, Mr. Jiang Cheng and Ms. Fang Jinghui.
Ms. Sun Xiuying's husband, Mr. Jiang Quande, was illegally sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment at Gongzhuling Prison.
33. [Jinzhou, Liaoning] Dafa Practitioner Liu Xiuyun Illegally Detained at Masanjia Reformatory
On August 14, 2007, when Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Xiuyun from Jincheng Town, Jinzhou, was sharing her experience in Dalian with fellow practitioners, police officers from Zhongshan Branch Police Station used wrenches to break the door open and arrest her. Ms. Liu Xiuyun is now detained at the Masanjia Reformatory.
34. [Hailaer, Neimenggu] Dafa Practitioner Lu Chuanwei and Others Hunger Strike to Resist Persecution
On September 6, 2007, husband and wife Mr. Lu Chuanwei and Ms. Fan Baojie, along with six other Dafa practitioners in Yitulihe District were arrested by the police. They are currently detained at the Railway Detention Center in Hailaer District. Half of the practitioners there are hunger striking to protest and resist the persecution.
35. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioner Zhao Shuge Arrested
On the afternoon of September 23, 2007, Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Shuge of Nancha District, Yichun City was arrested and sent to Nancha Branch Police Station by two agents from the 610 Office. His family was extorted of 2000 yuan. Mr. Zhao Shuge was then released at noon on September 24.
36. [Anshan, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Leng Bin (in her sixties) was Arrested by Police from Qidashan Police Station on September 26, 2007
37. [Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioner Liu Shurong Arrested
At around 3:00 p.m. on September 26, 2007, Qiqihar Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Shurong was arrested at home by police from Xinjiang Road Police Station, a Branch Office of Jianhua Police Station. All of her Dafa books were confiscated. She is still detained at Xinjiang Road Police Station.
38. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Zhang Hongyan and Other Dafa Practitioners Arrested
On the afternoon of September 27, 2007, Ms. Zhang Hongyan and two other practitioners from Fuxin City, Liaoning Province were arrested by the police.
