(Clearwisdom.net) Recently there’s been some evil interference in our area. Some of our material production sites have been damaged, and some of the practitioners have been arrested while distributing truth clarifying materials. With the rapid progression of of the Fa-rectification and with less and less of the evil left, news of the persecution of practitioners in Mainland China and the disruption of the material centers continues to break.
From reading the experience-sharing articles on the Internet and looking at the problems that we have here locally, I’ve come to this understanding: I find that there are some practitioners in various places who don’t study the Fa diligently, but instead do the three things with the intention of making big accomplishments. They seldom study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts sporadically, but the things they do are a big deal in the eyes of ordinary people. Furthermore, because they understand the Fa subjectively, they ignore the safety of other practitioners. If someone raises the issue of safety, they usually say something like: "As long as your righteous thoughts are strong, everything should be fine." But nine out of ten times when something bad happens due to failure to be careful with security, it happens to these practitioners. Of course I can’t deny the effect of righteous thoughts, but practitioners who cultivate well and study the Fa solidly witness the miracles Dafa creates when they have strong righteous thoughts. Every one of us knows that we need to have righteous thoughts, but that is the realm we gain and validate through solid Fa-study and cultivation.
Every true cultivator knows that we ourselves aren’t necessarily qualified cultivators just because we do Dafa work. This is only a realm that Teacher hopes that Dafa students will reach and the benevolence of saving sentient beings practitioners should have in that realm. What can make us ascend to the various levels and do better and better is studying the Fa. To this day, to this hour, when the unprecedented immense current of Fa-Rectification reaches the surface, how many of us can honestly say, "I study the Fa every day, no matter when and no matter where."
I personally understand that the root cause for the persecution is that each of us has different attachments. Why do I say that? Though behind the persecution there are complicated reasons that we still have yet to understand, such as the situation that Teacher mentioned in his Fa lecture that some people signed contracts with the old forces, but if our righteous thoughts are strong we can negate it. Then, why are some practitioners able to make it through while others give up their human bodies and some others even go to the opposite side? Aren’t the tests set up by the old forces because of our attachments? If all of us can solidly study the Fa, cultivate our hearts, and truly do what Teacher requires us to do, so that our attachments become less and less and our righteous thoughts become stronger and stronger, then where can the persecution get a foothold? In the course of our negating the persecution, we must look within ourselves to find our attachments and get rid of them, because these are the sources of the persecution. If we only counter the persecution for the sake of it, tomorrow our attachments will still be the same excuses for the evil to persecute us. The path we walk is very narrow. Even deviating a little bit damages sentient beings and ourselves.
In this unique moment in history, it is the responsibility of Dafa practitioners to save sentient beings with compassion using various methods, but the evil is doing bad things to damage sentient beings without any restraint. Like Teacher said in his lecture, "Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Fa Conference":
"It is bad, it is venomous, and it is evil. And just like poison, if you want it not to poison people it can’t do that—that’s just how it is." (Guiding the Voyage)
Though the overall situation has changed a bit, people who are controlled by the evil are awakening and it is not as difficult to clarify truth, but we, on the other hand, still have to be clear-headed and understand that if we can’t rectify the human attachments we still have and we can’t do the three things well at the same time, we will walk the path that the old forces arranged and encounter various interference that will hinder us from saving sentient beings. If each of us can seriously examine our attachments and try to get rid of them, and guarantee a certain period of time each day to study the Fa from today onward, and we all do our best to cultivate away the root reasons for the evil to persecute us and to purify and harmonize our strong righteous field, the evil will definitely collapse by itself.
