(Clearwisdom.net) On July 29, 2006, with the permission of the Belgrade police, a truth-clarification event was held in front of the National Museum at the Republic Square. Belgrade is the capital of Serbia and the event site is located at the very center of the city. Thousands of flyers and other information about Falun Gong and the ongoing repression by the Communist regime against the practice were distributed by Serbian and Bulgarian practitioners.

A poster with photos of the practitioners all over the world was set up next to the booth with informational materials. Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises and explained the facts of the persecution to the public. Many people took the initiative to ask what the practice is and why it is being persecuted in China. When they heard that the evil Communist party persecuted the practitioners in China, they all agreed that the persecution should not continue. There were some people who came directly to sign a petition because they had learned about Falun Gong from other countries.
Serbia was also influenced by the Communism under the Tito regime. People thus know perfectly well what communism is all about and many of them condemned the persecution of Falun Gong.

On the following day, practitioners did the exercises at the central park in Kalemegdan, where they also displayed posters and distributed flyers. Some people came to learn the exercises and exchange contact information with a local practitioner.
