(Clearwisdom.net) Six officials committed an injustice against Dafa. They include Gao Chenggang, head of the National Security Division at Guangyang Police Department in Langfang City, and the deputy head of Beiwang Township Police Department. These individuals jumped over the wall into practitioner Mr. Cao Baoyus backyard at 7:00 a.m. on February 18, 2006. Gao Chenggang said, "The government needs to ask Cao Baoyu about something. We need him to clarify something, and we will have him return soon."
Mr. Cao Baoyu said, "You can say it right here. I wont go with you! I didnt violate any law." Before he could finish, two police officers walked up to him and carried him away. His wife tried to stop the police, but the two officers held her down. They pushed Mr. Cao into a police vehicle and drove him to a brainwashing center.
Mr. Cao's wife later went to the Beiwang Township Police Department and tried to find out his whereabouts. The police chief said Cao Baoyu was being held at the Guangyang Police Department, but the Guangyang Police Department said he was held at the National Security Division, and the National Security Division refused to tell the wife where her husband was. They tortured him through brainwashing.
Mr. Cao Baoyu repeatedly clarified the truth during his unlawful detention. He often addressed Zhao Jinhui, head of Beiwang Township's 610 Office and the guards. They refused to listen and added, "Cao Baoyu's mind is deeply poisoned. He refuses to
"reform."" They held Mr. Cao at the Huakang Hotel and also at the Shengyanlou Hotel for brainwashing.
Officials from the Guangyang District Procuratorate in the Guangyang District and from the National Security Division eventually formally arrested Mr. Cao, charging him with "disrupting social order," and incarcerated him in Langfang Detention Center, where he was ruthlessly tortured and weakened.
He was later sent to Langfang City Hospital for so-called "rescue treatment," which was in fact brutal force-feeding. From this he suffered reduced stomach function, stomach bleeding, and severe damage of the stomach lining, among other complications. The guards tossed him about like a sack of potatoes, despite his condition. They handcuffed and shackled him during force-feeding, and several police officers held him down.
After Mr. Cao slipped into critical condition several times, they sent him again to the Langfang City Hospital and to the Chinese Hospital. Both hospitals are equipped with good facilities and staff. The medical opinion at both hospitals was that he was too far gone to be treated. Yet, the agents from the Guangyang District Political and Judiciary Committee's 610 Office still refused to release him. They then sent him to the Guangyang District People's Hospital, a poorly equipped hospital, for so-called emergency treatment.
Following instructions from Liu Jianzhong, deputy head of the Guangyang District Political and Judiciary Committee, and from Zhao Jiafu, head of the 610 Office, the doctors and nurses administered the wrong medications, which caused the functioning of Cao Baoyu's heart and kidneys to decline. He urinated blood and became incontinent.
During the two months Mr. Cao was held at that hospital, his wife went to the Guangyang District National Security Bureau to inquire about his whereabouts, but the officials there ignored her and refused to tell her where he was being held. Gao Chenggang of the National Security Division threatened Cao Baoyus wife saying, "If you ever come again, well send you to the brainwashing center also." Mr. Caos family tried many offices and eventually found out that he was being held at the Guangyang District Hospital.
His wife went to the hospital to visit him. The hospital staff hid the truth and threatened and intimidated her. To prevent her from seeing her husband, they told her he was not held there. They also told her not to come to the hospital and "cause trouble."
Eventually, his wife barged into the ward where Mr. Cao was staying and saw him in bed. He was barely recognizable. She pleaded with deputy political head Liu Jianzhong for permission to stay to take care of her husband, but he denied the request. Liu Jianzhong claimed she was interfering with the treatment and pushed her out of the hospital.
When the family overcame interferences and again went to the hospital, the doctor told them that Cao Baoyu was in serious condition and could die at any time. The family cried and strongly demanded that they be given permission to take Mr. Cao to a better hospital.
Liu Jianzhong feared losing his job should it come to light that they had been using the wrong drugs. He told the family, "Its OK, hell improve in a few days. Our hospital has better service, and our treatment certainly will not kill him. Dont ever come here again."
The family repeatedly asked Liu Jianzhong to call them if anything happened to Cao Baoyu. When the family went back to the hospital trying to see Mr. Cao, 610 Office head Zhao Jiafu called several officials over, including Xin Pingyu from the National Security Division. They tried to take Mr. Caos wife away, but they didnt succeed because of another practitioner's strong opposition.
Cao Baoyus children, relatives, and friends went to the hospital several times, but Liu Jianzhong never let them see him. They petitioned Liu Jianzhong to release Mr. Cao, but Liu Jianzhong countered, "No! Thats impossible because he practices Falun Gong. It may be possible had he committed murder or arson. Go and sue us if you dont like it!"
The family went to the Langfang City Party Committee and petitioned them to release Cao Baoyu. Personnel at the Party Committee told them to go to the Appeals Office, whose people in turn asked them to go to the Guangyang District Party Committee, whose agents told them to go to the 610 Office and to the National Security Division. No one did anything to release Cao Baoyu.
Mr. Cao's wife again went to the hospital at 11 a.m. on April 25. She met Liu Jianzhong and Zhao Jiafu in front of the hospital. They were on watch for Cao Baoyu. She asked about her husbands condition. Liu Jianzhong said, "He is doing well." The wife asked if she could go see him. They answered, "You can visit him." When she went in, however, she saw that he was delirious, incoherent, and almost deaf. In addition, he had feces on his body and hands.
When she asked Liu Jianzhong what had happened to him, Liu Jianzhong said, "I don't know. We were talking, and he was clear-headed." He left after saying these words. Several minutes later Liu Jianzhong came back and said, "OK, it's time for you to leave." In fact, Zhao Jiafu had called Xin Pingyu from the National Security Division 610 Office, who arrived with several plainclothes police officers at the hospital during those few minutes.
Before Cao Baoyu's wife could step out of the ward, four police officers pinned her down. Xin Pingyu ordered a group of police officers to shove her into a vehicle and take her to the Langfang Traffic Hotel, where a brainwashing session was in progress. Two people grabbed her wrists and two others grabbed her ankles and dragged her along on the first floor of the hotel, upside down, from the ground floor to the fourth floor. They stepped on her hair and dragged her up. The four people then threw her, a woman around 60 years old, on the floor.
Cao Baoyus wife went into convulsions. The officials said, "Stop faking already! How come your Teacher doesnt help you with it?" When she asked Liu Jianzhong why she was arrested against the law, Liu Jianzhong answered, "We are just giving you a wake-up call so you will stop making trouble at the hospital."
The 610 Office agents took Mr. Cao's wife away without telling her family. Her family looked for her everywhere but didn't know where she was held. The family was anxious and extremely worried, because Cao Baoyu and his wife were now both in police custody.
Cao Baoyus wife continued to worry about her husband while she was being held at the brainwashing center. She stopped eating and drinking. Collaborators Liu Shuxiang and Guo Lingbrainwashed her daily. She was very weak.
The hospital called the family on the morning of April 27 and told them that Cao Baoyu was undergoing emergency room treatment. Mr. Cao s son rushed to the hospital and requested a meeting with his father. Liu Jianzhong and Zhao Jiafu refused and said, "Hes doing well. We will let you know if something happens." His son waited outside the hospital for a very long time but he was prevented from seeing his father.
Village officials hastily contacted Cao Baoyus son and relatives at around 10:00 a.m. on April 28, 2006. They were told to go to the conference room on the fourth floor of Shengyanlou Hotel, where the brainwashing sessions are held. The conference room was heavily guarded. Officials from the Guangyang District Procuratorate and the police department announced the reason for Cao Baoyus arrest. Unbeknown to the family, a trial had been held on April 25, 2006. They also announced the April 27, 2006, evening death report [of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Cao] but refused to let the family read any of the documents. When the family asked why the officials didnt notify them during the emergency treatment, the head of the Guangyang District Hospital said, "We have rules! We cant tell you if we are not supposed to tell you." He never said which exact rule he was following.
When the family asked to take the body home, the Guangyang District Procuratorate and the police department said that the higher government officials had decreed that it was forbidden to remove the body. Moreover, they told the family that an autopsy would be performed later in the afternoon with cremation the next morning. They would not allow the family to take even the ashes home.
Cao Baoyus wife didnt know anything about her husband's death. She was still being persecuted in the early morning of April 28, 2006, at the brainwashing center. Zhao Jinhui, secretary of the Beiwang Township Political and Judiciary Committee, hid the truth. He sent her home at around 11:00 a.m. on April 28, saying he was afraid her health would fail her.
Officials from the Beiwang Township monitored Cao Baoyus home. Several of them guarded the door and wouldnt let anyone go inside. They would photograph and videotape anyone who entered the courtyard. When several relatives learned of Cao Baoyu's death, they barged inside his home and told his wife about it. When the wife tried to inform more friends and relatives, officials from the Beiwang Township Political and Judiciary Committee commandeered the home phone, so she could not make any calls.
Officials from Guangyang District cremated the body on May 1, 2006. The ashes were light green. The crematory workers said, "Weve never seen ashes like this! What medication has he been taking? The dose must have been really huge."
Liu Jianzhong, deputy head of the Guangyang District Political and Judiciary Committee; and Zhao Jiafu, head of the 610 Office; and the staff at the Guangyang District Peoples Hospital had force-fed Cao Baoyu with large doses of unknown drugs, which in all likelihood was the cause of his death.
Mr. Cao Baoyus family is devastated. His four-year-old grandson often asks, "When is grandpa coming home? I miss him."
