1. [Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhong Jiawen is Currently On Hunger Strike
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhong Jiawen was arrested in 2004. He is currently being held in the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong Province. During the past two years, he has been negating the persecution and refusing to co-operate with the evil's requirements, orders or regulations. He is currently on a hunger strike and has been transferred to a hospital.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] 19 Falun Dafa Practitioners from Heping District Arrested
At about 4:00 p.m. on August 10, 2006, 19 Falun Dafa practitioners from the Heping District of Harbin City were taken to the Nangang Police Department of Harbin City. These practitioners were having an experience sharing conference when they were surrounded by many police cars and then arrested. Among the arrested practitioners were Mr. Guan Wenyi and Mr. Li Wenjun.
3. [Yanshou County, Heilongjiang Province] Persecution Facts from Yanshou County
At noon on April 13, 2006, practitioner Ms. Li Shuhua from Yanshou County in Heilongjiang Province was working in the field. She was illegally arrested by police, who also ransacked her home. Police confiscated her cell phone and watch. The next day they attempted to extort from her family members two to three thousand yuan, however Ms. Li's family members refused to cooperate. On April 19, 2006, police again tried to extort a fee of 800 yuan for Ms. Li's physical exam and were again rejected by Ms. Li's family members. At present, Ms. Li Shuhua has been sentenced to one year of forced labor. She is currently being tortured in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp.
Additionally, the homes of two other practitioners recently released from a forced labor camp after being held for three years were ransacked by police on June 7, 2006. They took away Falun Dafa books and the audio lectures of Master Li. These two practitioners have since been forced to leave home to avoid being arrested.
Recently, local television broadcast an announcement that anyone who reports a Falun Dafa practitioner to police will be rewarded one-and-a-half to two thousand yuan.
4. [Daqing City, Helongjiang Province] 219 People Jointly Appealing for Practitioner Mr. Zhu Yanhe
On June 30, 2006, practitioner Mr. Zhu Yanghe from Aobao Village, Hujitumuo Town, Dumeng County of Daqing City, was arrested at his own home. Twenty days later, he was taken to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp. At home, the sheep and cows can't be cared for without him, and no one is looking after his crops. His family members and friends are very angry. There are already 219 people who have cosigned an appeal for him.
5. [Beijing] Practitioners Mr. Duan Lunwei and His Wife, Ms. Wang Xiuzhen, Being Mistreated
Practitioners Mr. Duan Lunwei and his wife, Ms. Wang Xiuzhen, from Beijing are in their 60s and 70s and live in the Family Residential District of the Second Space Center of Beijing. On the morning of January 2, 2006, when they were distributing truth-clarification materials, they were followed by plainclothes police officers, and later two police cars came to take them away. They were taken to the police station, the 610 Office and another place. Meanwhile, police ransacked their home. They confiscated several copies of Falun Dafa books and several pieces of equipment and damaged the truth-clarification materials site. Police also installed a surveillance system in their home. At present, Mr. Duan Lunwei has been "illegally sentenced" to two years of imprisonment. Because of medical problems, he was released to seek medical care. He is losing his sight and is extremely weak. The whereabouts of Ms. Wang Xiuzhen are currently unknown.
6. [Shanghai] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Xiang Jie's Whereabouts Unknown After Being Taken to Brainwashing Center
Practitioner Ms. Xiang Jie from the Pudong District of Shanghai City was put into the Songjiang Women's Prison in 2002 because of her efforts to validate the Fa. She was held for three years before being released last year. She was taken away again prior to the "Sixth Summit" held in Shanghai. She was put into a brainwashing center and her whereabouts have since been unknown.
7. [Tianjin City] Illegal Warrant Against Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Ling Issued
Practitioner Ms. Wang Ling from Dagang Oil Field of Tianjin City was "illegally arrested" by police from the Gangdong Police Station of Dagang Oil Field on June 29, 2006. She is still being held in the Dagang District Police Department.
On August 1, 2006, Ms. Wang Ling's family members received the warrant for her arrest.
8. [Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Ms. Wang Li and Ms. Li Huiying Arrested
On the evening of August 10, 2006, practitioners Ms. Wang Li and Ms. Li Huiying from Youyi County in Heilongjiang Province were distributing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and were arrested when someone reported them to the police. They are currently being held in the Youyi County Detention Center.

9. [Beijing] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Jia Yanru Sentenced to Forced Labor and Her Home Ransacked
In April 2006, the home of practitioner Ms. Jia Yanru from Beijing was suddenly ransacked for no reason and she was sentenced to two-and-a-half years of forced labor. She is being held in the Tuanhe District Forced Labor Camp of Daxing County. In 2001, because Ms. Jia Yanru refused to give up the practice of Falun Gong, she was sentenced to imprisonment. She was released in 2005. During her imprisonment, Ms. Jia Yanru held to her belief. Police have been constantly harassing her and her family via direct visits and phone calls.

At noon on August 10, 2006, practitioner Ms. Guo Yuchun from Anda City was home when she was arrested by Liu Yingshan, the section chief of the Political and Security Section of Anda City, who colluded with three police officers from the Chaoyang District Police Station of Anda City.

11. [Pangxi County, Gansu Province] Practitioner Mr. Jiang Zhuangyou Arrested by Police
Practitioner Mr. Jiang Zhuangyou from Pangxi County in Ganfsu Province is about 70 years old. On August 9, 2006, when he was clarifying the truth to peasants of Dianping Village, which is not too far from the Northwest Aluminum Processing Factory where his home is located, he was reported to police. The State Security Division of the Pangxi County Police Department arrested him and held him in the Pangxi County Detoxification Center. During the past seven years, this older practitioner and his wife, practitioner Ms. Xu Xiuru, have repeatedly suffered from mistreatment by Pangxi County police officer Song Jianhua (male). This time, Mr. Jiang Zhuangyou is being held for the second time.

12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wen Yingxin Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Wen Yingxin from the Dadong District of Shenyang City was taken to the Xiaobei Police Station on the afternoon of August 7, 2006. On August 8, she was taken to the Shenyang City Detention Center.

13. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Xu Haojie Sentenced to Forced Labor
Practitioner Mr. Xu Haojie from Xiaodianzi Town of Donggang City is 50 years old. He was arrested by police in Chang'an Town of Donggang City on June 13, 2006. He has been sentenced to forced labor for one year and is being held in the Dandong City Detention Center.

14. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Yang Jianhua Missing in Nanjing City
Practitioner Mr. Yang Jianhua from Changzhou City has been forced to leave home to avoid being arrested. On April 26, 2006, Mr. Yang went to Nanjing City and was supposed to return on May 8. However, he has since disappeared.
15. [Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Wang Shusheng Being Tortured in Masanjia Prison
Practitioner Mr. Wang Shusheng was put into Masanjia Prison in 2001. During the time when he was held, he was repeatedly tortured. On June 18, 2006, guard Liu Yi (male) ordered four criminal inmates, including Song Chengli (male), to brutally beat Mr. Wang Shusheng in the maintenance room of the prison. In the afternoon, Mr. Wang Shusheng was beaten by officer Wang Jun (male) and fell to the ground. The guard then stepped on his head and shocked it with an electric baton. Then Mr. Wang Shusheng was dragged into the office where he was brutally beaten for another round.
16. [Beijing] Three Falun Dafa Practitioners, Including Ms. Sun Shuxiang and Ms. Zhang, Guizhi Arrested
Three practitioners, including Ms. Sun Shuxiang and Ms. Zhang Guizhi from Daizhou Castle of Haidian District of Beijing, were suddenly taken away from their homes by nine police officers on July 6, 2006. They are currently being held in Qinghe Detention Center.
17. [Shanghai] Another Practitioner from Shanghai City Missing
Practitioner Ms. Wang Cuizhen from the Pudong District of Shanghai is in her 40s. In June 2006, she was reported to the police when she was clarifying truth in the Sanlincheng District. She was later arrested and taken to the Dongming Police Station. Her home was ransacked, and her current whereabouts are unclear.
18. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Ma Xiaohua and Ms. Yu Fuhua Arrested
On August 3, 2006, police officers, including Dong Shaolong from Qianjin Police Department of Jiamusi City, drove several police cars to where practitioner Ms. Ma Xiaohua lives and arrested her. In the meantime, they also arrested practitioner Ms. Yu Fuhua, who was visiting at Ms. Ma Xiaohua's home.
19. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Cui Yanli Taken to Brainwashing Center
At about 3:30 p.m. on August 10, 2006, three police officers, including Ma Yanli (male) from the Liaoyang County Police Department, went to Anzhuang Village of Shoushan Township to arrest practitioner Ms. Cui Yanli and took her to the Shizuizi Brainwashing Center of Liaoyang City, where she is being subjected to forced brainwashing. On the same day, another practitioner was harassed at home.
