(Clearwisdom.net) The Yilan Government held its eleventh annual International Children’s Folklore and Folk-game Festival from July 1 to August 20, 2006. Organizers invited many artistic groups from all over the world to perform. The festival attracts hundreds of thousands every year, and has become a major annual festival.

Local practitioners come to the festival every year to clarify the truth. This year, practitioners came every Saturday afternoon to spread the Fa, pass out truth-clarifying materials, and demonstrate the exercises. Practitioners bring the beauty of Falun Dafa to tourists and expose the truth of the seven-year long persecution, especially the Chinese Communist Party’s harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
This year at the festival, organizers set up a mini train for tourists. Upon seeing practitioners doing the exercises, people on the train shouted "Falun Gong! Falun Gong." They all reached out their arms to accept materials.
Dr. Li, a practitioner and a dentist, said that the book Zhuan Falun explains the principles of the universe and had answered many of her questions. Her own personal and professional experience confirm the health benefits the practice brings to those that choose to follow it. Dr. Li said that many people in Yilan improved their health by practicing Falun Gong.
Mrs. Wang from Dongshan Town always comes with handmade paper lotus flowers. The young children like it very much, and their parents take truth-clarifying materials. Mrs. Hsu from Masai is 60 years old. She made a big display board which says "Falun Dafa is Good." It is very eye-catching in the park. Mr. Jian and Mr. Yang from Wujie come to the festival to spread the Fa every weekend. They smile to people when passing out materials, and many people take materials from them.
A college student who works at the festival was very happy when he saw the practitioners. He told them that he had already learned some information from the website. He is going to the USA for graduate school soon. He asked practitioners to teach him the exercises. When doing the second exercise, he held his arms up for thirty minutes. He said that he will contact the local exercise site and continue the practice.
Since 2000, practitioners have come to the festival every year to spread the Fa. They taught many foreign performers to do exercises. It is a precious chance for practitioners from Yilan to spread the Fa to foreigners.
Practitioners said that more than 100 million people in 80 countries have benefited from Falun Gong. They want more people to learn about and benefit from it. Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China have been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since 1999. However, since the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party were published, more and more people have recognized the evil nature of the CCP and more and more people have learned the truth about the persecution.
