At 9:00 a.m. on June 15, 2006, Shunhe District Court in Kaifeng City, Henan Province secretly tried Dafa practitioner Su Hongying. According to court staff who knew the situation, the court didn’t even notify Su Hongying's family, and a decision on the trial outcome had already been internally pre-decided by higher authorities: that Ms. Su would be sentenced to approximately seven years or more.
In the court, Su Hongying appeared very weak, owing to more than seven months of mistreatment. Her face was grey, and she had difficulty walking. Her husband and son had obtained information about the trial, and were the only two attendees. After a two-hour "hearing," the court announced that it would break temporarily, but never resumed.
