(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20 seven year ago, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s leader Jiang Zemin initiated the brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. During the last seven years, CCP has applied all of the torture means in history in China and overseas to persecute Falun Gong practitioners who follow "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance". Millions of Falun Gong practitioners were unlawfully imprisoned, fined, beaten, or tortured. Near 3,000 deaths of practitioners due to the persecution have been verified and documented. The CCP’s live organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners for profit and cremation of their remains are shocking the world.

To call for an end of the seven-year-long persecution, at 6:30 p.m. on July 18, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners in Houston protested in front of the Chinese Consulate. The practitioners held banners in both English and Chinese. Some practitioners practiced the exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts. The event caught the attention of passers-by and drivers. Some people accepted truth-clarification materials and read it attentively.
For the last several years, practitioners continuously protested in front of the consulate, whether it was summer or winter. Local residents know well the practitioners’ steadfast efforts.
Regarding this steadfast effort, practitioner Ms. Peng said, "At the early stages of the persecution, many people did not know the facts or recognize the evil nature of the CCP. The exposure of the CCP’s live organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners is only a small portion of the whole picture. More severe and brutal persecution is continuing in China. The persecution is related to each person in society. People from all walks of life need to pay attention to the persecution and help stop it."
Practitioner Xiaoxiao is a student. During the last year, she followed her mother to participate in Falun Gong introduction activities. She said, "In March 1999, I was six years old. I knew Falun Gong. But I did not know why such a good practice was persecuted by the CCP until last year. Thus, I have a wish to help more people know the facts of the persecution. Whenever there is an opportunity, I tell the facts to teachers and my classmates."
Practitioner Mr. Lin said, "On July 20, 1999, the evil CCP initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. The practitioners’ rights were taken away. In parks and at home, practicing is banned. Recently, the CCP’s crimes of live organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners were exposed. We are explaining the facts to medical circles and everyone else."
