(Clearwisdom.net) Last week we held a one-day Fa experience sharing conference in our area. Before the conference, I hesitated on whether I should attend because the day after the conference there would be final exams at my daughter's school. I talked with my daughter and asked her whether she wanted to attend the conference. My daughter said she would abide by my decision. I could not decide whether I should take her to attend the conference because many students had to spend time reviewing their lessons. I finally decided to take my children to attend the Fa conference. I told my daughter that if she did well on her lessons before the test, she did not need to try so hard on preparation for the test.
After saying that, I thought about how cultivation is much the same. Each day we should do well on our lesson given by Teacher. Our lesson is to study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts, and clarify the truth. If we don't do well enough today, then tomorrow we would want to let up even more. The day after tomorrow, we would find another excuse, saying that we had some ordinary thing that we needed to handle. Day after day, month after month, we would not achieve much. We would have gaps compared with other practitioners who are diligent. When the gaps got larger, we would want to catch up. By that time, wouldn't it be hard to make up the missing lessons? Why not do our homework well on a daily basis? Then when the test comes, we will pass it easily.
When my daughter's test results came back they were even better than before. In the past she often did not pass the math portion of the test, and I used to really worry about it. This time I did not worry about it. Her math test score was 85. My attitude towards my children's lesson was, "As a student, one should try one's best to do one's lessons well." However, my children have been following me in practicing Dafa for several years. Besides their basic lessons, they also need to balance their Fa study well, practice the exercises, and send forth righteous thoughts. None of these elements should be ignored. Compared with other ordinary classmates, they have more pressure. I often tell my daughters to put Dafa in the first position, "Dafa will open up your wisdom and then you will find the lessons are easy to handle."
My youngest daughter likes to recite the Fa. Therefore, for her, school lessons are much easier. For example, this time half of her classmates did not pass the math test, but she got almost 100 percent correct on the test. I rarely push her on her studies. The only thing I urge her to do is to study the Fa, do the exercises, and send forth righteous thoughts. Because she studies the Fa well, she does not need to spend too much time to finish her school lessons. Of course, I feel that the adult's cultivation condition will also have some effect on the children. Sometimes, due to not being able to let go of some of my attachments, my situation has interfered with my children, but I cannot always say that my children are not good or that they interfere with me. Whenever I encounter something, I look inside first and see whether I have done something wrong. Then the environment around me is naturally corrected.
The above is my personal experience sharing. Please point out if there is anything not correct.
