(Clearwisdom.net) I was detained in a detention center in 2002 and was locked up along with two fellow practitioners. I read some recent information about them on Clearwisdom.net, and I want to write down the story of their time in detention to help us diligently advance together.
These two practitioners had been detained for more than a year when I entered the cell. Their solid faith in Master and Falun Dafa inspired me so much. They were detained when the evil was most rampant, and they endured the most severe tortures in that living hell. Due to a beating, the eyesight of one of them had deteriorated and his glasses were broken. The other practitioner contracted scabies, and the guards had other prisoners scratch the scabies until they bled, causing extreme pain.
Neither of them ever gave in nor spoke one word of disrespect toward Master or Falun Dafa. Their solidity also changed the environment of the whole detention center. Fellow practitioners that later entered the center were not tortured as severely; even the guards changed their attitude toward practitioners.
The practitioners wrote down Master's Fa from memory or with help from fellow practitioners, including such works as Essentials for Further Advancement, Hong Yin, etc. They created a Fa-study environment even in such hard conditions. I have a vivid memory of these practitioners developing thick calluses on their ankles because they had to sit on wooden bed-boards to study the Fa and the rough surface caused calluses. They said that the most bitter thing about being detained was not the physical torture but that they could not read Master's Fa or learn about the process of Fa-rectification.
There was an atlas in the detention center. These practitioners found every spot where Master taught the Fa. When I recited Master's new scriptures to them, they were like dry land under a rainfall. The Fa encouraged them, and it also helped me to experience Master's grand mercy.
We have relatively more freedom than detained practitioners. Let us be more diligent and treasure this precious time that can be gone in a flash. Let us do the three things well and save more sentient beings.
