Korea: a Practitioner Attacked in Front of Chinese Consulate, Assailant Arrested and Found Guilty (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) At 10:40 a.m. on June 26, 2006, a Chinese man who entered Korea one week before violently assaulted a Korean practitioner who was protesting against the persecution of Falun Gong by herself in front of the Chinese Consulate. At 12:40 p.m. on the same day, the Seoul South Gate Police Station arrested Cui Hai, male, 36 years old, for suspicion of violence, damaging others’ property, and interfering with others’ business. He tore the practitioner’s banner and some truth-clarification brochures in front of the Chinese Consulate and violently broke practitioner Ms. Zhao’s truth-clarification materials. Ms. Zhao is a 36-year-old lady who was conducting the peaceful protest there.

Hong Kong: Falun Gong Practitioners Protest against Criminal of Torture Jia Qinglin (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) Political Consultative Conference Jia Qinglin arrived in Hong Kong on June 27, 2006 for a three-day visit. Hundreds of people from different groups and organizations including Falun Gong, the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements in China, April 5th Action and Frontier protested with banners and signs. Falun Gong practitioners called for the end of the persecution and bringing Jia Qinglin, Bo Xilai and other chief perpetrators to justice.

Washington State: Practitioners Clarify the Truth on International Day in Support of Torture Victims and Survivors (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) June 26 marks the United Nations International Day in Support of Torture Victims and Survivors. It was originated in 1987, a day to commemorate torture victims and call for eradicating torture around the world. On Saturday, June 24, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners participated in the commemoration of the day for the fourth year at Westlake Park in downtown Seattle, Washington State. They also held a press conference to raise people’s awareness of Falun Gong practitioners who are suffering torture and abuses in China. The reenactment of brutal tortures that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) adopts to persecute Falun Gong practitioners was staged. The tortures demonstrated included being hung up and beaten, being locked up in a small metal cage, and live organ harvesting for sale.
