Let Go of Attachments Quickly
I remember when I initially obtained the Fa and did the exercises in 1999, I was listening to Master's saying "man man fang xia," meaning "gradually put down (hands)" when transitioning from "Holding the Wheel in Front of the Head" to "Holding the Wheel in Front of the Lower Abdomen" (The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa, Chapter II) in doing Exercise 2. I enlightened that, in addition to gradually putting down (i.e., letting go of) the arms in doing the exercise, many human attachments should also be gradually put down.
Years went by. Recently when I was doing the exercises, I often felt ashamed when I heard "man man fang xia." It is mentioned in Zhuan Falun that we should "strive forward vigorously" in the cultivation of the Buddha Fa. Although Master allows us to upgrade gradually, we cannot stay for a long time in a state in which attachments are not removed. As Master said in "The Knowing Heart,"
"With attachments left behind, the lightened boats sail swiftly."
To catch up with the Fa- rectification progress we should quicken our steps and continually let go of attachments.
Do What Should Be Done Well
A few days ago a fellow practitioner asked me if I would like to move to New York City to participate in more projects if there was such an opportunity. I thought at the moment that only if we do what we should do well at our own positions, will we be
"Reaching Consummation, returning with Master" ("Predestiny Leads Back to Sacred Fruit" in Hong Yin)
"We do not require facing certain directions for practice"
"Practicing in any direction is practicing to all directions."(Zhuan Falun)
Everyone's situations are different, so it is not necessary to do the same things. Here let me quote with respect Master's "Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Fa Conference" in Guiding the Voyage as an encouragement to both fellow practitioners and myself,
"Get rid of any attachment you have, and don't think about anything. Just do everything a Dafa disciple should do, and everything will be covered."
