In the middle of February 2006, personnel from Tiandong County's Detention Center in the Guangxi AR sent dying Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Tan Xiufen to the County Hospital for emergency treatment. Ms. Tan was tortured until she was emaciated. She is languishing and cannot eat. She cannot walk or talk or take care of herself.
Ms. Tan Xiufen, 44 years old, was a teacher at a school affiliated with the Tiandong Petroleum Chemical Engineering Company. On September 28, 2005, personnel from the National Security Team of the county's police department and from the Heheng Police Station broke into the school and arrested her. Afterwards, they ransacked her home and put her into the Tiandong County Detention Center.

5. [Tianjin] Practitioner Ms. Li Ping Unable to Walk from Severe Torture in the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp
Practitioner Ms. Li Ping has been on a hunger strike for over 26 days at the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin. She cannot walk and her life is in peril.
Ms. Li's heart, kidney, stomach, and liver functions have been severely impaired from force-feeding. Her symptoms include difficulty breathing, heart palpitations, nausea, and bowel and bladder problems. When force-feeding her, the police have added some unknown, yellowish substance into the food. On August 15, 2003, practitioner Ms. Qiu Xiuzhen from Chengdu City was arrested and later was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment. She is presently being held at the Yangmahe Woman's Prison in Jianyang City. Her husband was also a practitioner in his 60s. In 2004, he passed away while living a homeless existence to avoid persecution.

17. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhao Yuhong Sent to a Brainwashing Center After Four Years of Imprisonment
Practitioner Ms. Zhao Yuhong from Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province, was unlawfully sentenced to four years of imprisonment. Because she was determined in Dafa she was sent directly to a brainwashing center after the four years in prison. Her father couldn't endure the shock and died.
On March 3, 2006, her 75-year-old mother went to the Shandong Province Women's Prison to visit her. The prison authority told her that Ms. Zhao's imprisonment term would expire on March 18 and would not let her see her daughter.
Her mother was so eager to see her daughter that she went to the prison again on March 17 but still did not get to see her. When her mother went again on March 18, she was informed that her daughter had already been transferred away. The mother had to have someone find out Ms. Zhao's whereabouts. Later, she heard that her daughter was sent to the Zhaoyuan City Brainwashing Center. The mother was angry and went to ask for her daughter's release, but the brainwashing center authorities replied that they would not release her daughter until she had "reformed."
The mother asked them who had made that regulation. They said the order was from their supervisors. Ms. Zhao's mother had no choice but to return home. After she got home, the police there even wanted to force her to move out of her house, stating that, "her house had not been renovated." The old mother had no appetite and couldn't sleep for several days. She could not understand what was wrong with society and cried for days.

During the "Two Conferences" in March, police took Ms. Ding Liping, an employee of the Aluminum Oxide Company, Chinese Non-Black Metal Group, away from her office.

20. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhu Benfu Arrested and His Home Ransacked
On March 21 practitioner Mr. Zhu Benfu from Dalian was arrested and his home was ransacked the next day. Police confiscated three laser printers, one color inkjet printer, two desktop computers, one digital camera, a few silicon drums, several bottles of toner, Falun Dafa books and materials, and reams of copy paper. Police also confiscated 12,000 yuan in cash from Mr. Zhu. When Mr. Zhu's wife, Ms. Sun Jingmei, was arrested on March 22, the authorities left with 8,000 yuan in cash. The couple each also had an MP3 player, so their total losses would amount to around 33,000 yuan.

22. [Guangdong Province] Practitioner Mr. Tan Jianhui Transferred to Another Place for Persecution After Three Years of Forced Labor
Practitioner Mr. Tan Jianhui from Guangdong Province had been held at the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp for three years, till November 2005. After his term expired he was transferred to elsewhere for further persecution. His family said he has been tortured so badly that he is almost unrecognizable. His family members cry for him day and night.

On March 22, 2006, when practitioner Ms. Liao Yuan is from the Sanqiao District in Guiyang City was cooking at her place of employment on Sanqiao Street, policemen arrested her and sent her to the Lannigou Brainwashing Center for persecution.
Ms. Liao had retired from the Provision Bus Factory in Guizhou Province. She and her family lived on her very low pension. Since her arrest, her two daughters, the younger one a middle school student, and a three-year-old granddaughter are left at home without care.

On March 18, when practitioners Ms. Liu Xueping and Ms. Zhang Dongmei from the Suxian District in Chenzhou City were clarifying the truth of Falun Gong, they were reported. Personnel from the Nanta Police Station in Chenzhou City arrested them. Currently, they are being held at the city's No.1 Detention Center.
In addition, practitioner Ms. Peng Jianmei, in her 60s, is so weak that she cannot walk. She has been detained at the city's No.1 Detention Center for more than half a year.

Practitioner Mr. Wu Fenghui, 52 years old, began to practice Falun Gong in May 2004. During the 2005 Mid-autumn Festival he was arrested when he was clarifying the truth because someone reported him. The arrest happened the night of August 16 (according to the Lunar Calendar.) Policemen from the Wangcheng County National Security Team and from the 610 Office were responsible. He was sent to a forced labor camp, and his house was ransacked. Currently, he is being detained at the No.7 Team in the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha City, Hunan Province.
27. [Mianzhu City, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners Arrested for Hanging Truth-clarifying Banners
At about 8:00 p.m. on March 8, 2006, practitioners Wang Wenchun and Chen Xingjun were hanging Falun Dafa banners at the entrance to Shiniu Village in Mianzhu City, when a passer-by reported them.
They were arrested and taken to the Yuquan Town Police Station. The next morning, Wang Wenchun was transferred to the Tumen Town Police Station. Personnel from the city's National Security Team sent Chen Xingjun to the Mianzhu City Detention Center. Several policemen, including Zeng Weiguo, illegally searched Chen Xingjun's house. They confiscated Master Li's picture, Dafa books, copies of "Minghui Weekly," and other private possessions.

28. [Changye City, Shandong Province] Evildoings of 610 Office Head Chen Xiaodong and His Wife
Chen Xiaodong, Changye City 610 Office head, has brutally persecuted practitioners. In 2005 he illegally sent more than 60 practitioners to a forced labor camp and became the number one villain in Weifang City for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners the most severely.
Feng Xiaohong, Chen Xiaodong's wife, is the chief criminal for sentencing Falun Gong practitioners in the Changye City Court. The couple worked together to persecute practitioners. Because of this, Chen Xiaodong was awarded an SUV.
Chen Xiaodong graduated from Shenyang City Police College and then worked at the Operative Team in Weifang City. In 2002 he was transferred to Changye City's 610 Office and has been there ever since. In 2005, Chen Xiaodong was in coma after a traffic accident. Even now he cannot straighten his back, but he hasn't repented and boasts, "I won't let any Falun Gong practitioners off, not even those who no longer practice."
