(Clearwisdom.net) I am a practitioner working in the IT (information technology) field. During the Fa-rectification period cultivation, I overcame many difficulties by solidly believing in Dafa and Master. I made some mistakes when I was not in the Fa, but had many successes as long as I maintained my thoughts and actions according to the requirements of the Fa so as to meet the Fa's different requirements at different levels. All of our wisdom comes from the Fa and each of us is just a particle in the Fa.
Technical-support work in Dafa's projects is also cultivation, not an ordinary job. When one cannot study the Fa well, he will be in a kind of "busy" situation and has a hard time finding the real reasons for the problems, sometimes even taking it as an normal situation and viewing it as "putting in effort" on Dafa's projects. Only when a practitioner sees the problem from the perspective of the Fa, can he realize the causes of the situation, which is oftentimes that we have some problems in our xinxing, and were taken advantage of by the old forces without being aware of it. When we deal with some problems (especially when we are very busy) with ordinary people's thoughts, it will lead us to a "busier" situation and can even lead us to neglect Fa study, the result being double the efforts and half the achievement. When one realizes that only the Fa can eliminate all obstacles, he will put studying the Fa in the first priority instead of work itself and he will be in a calm mindset and with strong righteous thoughts. Problems can thus be resolved with "half the effort and double the achievement."
There was a 50-year-old practitioner who once called me and asked me to repair her printer. When I was talking to this practitioner, I thought that since the printer had not been used much, it should not have any problems. I went to her place and found that everything was just fine. Several days later, a phone call came again from the same practitioner, saying the printer again failed to work normally. I said to her we should improve our xinxing, and we sent righteous thoughts to clean the bad things out. Several minutes later, the situation remained. When she told me that the righteous thoughts had no effect, I realized she had sent righteous thoughts with attachments - in pursuit of solving the problem, which is why her "righteous thoughts" could not have an effect. I suggested that she adjust her state of mind by sending righteous thoughts and I left. Later, the printer was back to normal and worked again.
Last year, one of my friends' electronic books malfunctioned. He did not dare to go to the store to ask for a new one and gave it to me. I tried to have somebody fix it, but nobody could do it. I thought, "It cannot be thrown away like this and it should be used to study the Fa.." I went to the store and after telling them the problems with the electronic book, they offered to exchange it for a new one. Another time, my hard drive did not work, and the owner of the store denied that it was bought from their shop. I knew I should look inside of myself as I am a practitioner, not an ordinary person, and looking inside is the main difference between Dafa practitioner and ordinary people. I found my attachment of fear: I was afraid that the data in this hard drive would be seen by others. I started to send righteous thoughts and negotiated with the shop owner calmly. He guaranteed he would give me a brand new one and I knew at that moment, Master was protecting me.
One week ago, my attachment of doing things and seeking bargains arose. I bought a lot of cheap materials for computer use, then, one of my hard drives was destroyed along with all data, including some very important video files. I was distraught and did not know what I should do. It took a very long time to download these files from the Internet, so I realized that there must be some attachment deep in my heart. I have a notion which was formed during the period of time when I was poor; that is, I enjoyed bargaining. Also, I saw my attachment of showing off. Every time I found a bargain, I always thought, "Look, I found something good to use and save a lot of money!" In fact, this attachment of mine affected our Dafa project because when I saw that other practitioners bought some expensive items and equipment, I would complain and lacked the compassion to understand others' situations.
I found these attachments and decided to repair this hard drive by myself. But what about the data and files in this drive? I sent righteous thoughts and pleaded for Master's help. I continued to send righteous thoughts during the following half hour. The result is that the hard drive was repaired, the data and files were not lost, and no one else took a look at any data in that hard drive.
