(Clearwisdom.net) On March 10, 2006, the Eastern Courier Newspaper of Auckland, New Zealand, published a front page story about Falun Gong practitioners Huang Guohua and his daughter Ying Huang.

Huang Guohua and his daughter settled down in New Zealand. The photo behind them is Huang's wife Zhixiang Luo. Luo was persecuted to death in China for practicing Falun Dafa.

Reporter Heather McCracken's article said Huang Guohua was jailed for 13 months in China for practicing Falun Dafa.

His wife died after 14 days of torture in a detention center.

Mr. Huang and his wife were both arrested and jailed in November 2002. The couple were jailed separately. Mr. Huang was not told of his wife's death for four months.

Huang says he was beaten, tortured and chained to the floor for days at a time. He was held down and force fed through a tube in his nose during a hunger strike to protest against his arrest. He was finally released in December 2003 and escaped to Thailand with his daughter in August 2004.

The pair went to New Zealand in January 2006 as United Nations mandate refugees.

Mr. Huang said he wants his daughter to be happy and healthy in her new life in New Zealand. Ying's nickname is Kaixin, meaning Joy. He plans to study English to be able to live independently. And he wants to help those practicing Falun Dafa in China.

"I would like to tell the New Zealand public what our family suffered and tell the public the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa. We want the government and public to uphold justice and help to stop the persecution still happening in China.

Mr. Huang says he'll never give up his beliefs. He follows the three main principles of truth benevolence and tolerance, in his daily life. The practice helps maintain his true self, he says. "If I give up this principle it means giving up my life, my soul."

"I'll never give up," Huang said.
