(Clearwisdom.net) We have learned disturbing information from Baokang Town, Tongliao City. Three female parishioners were subjected to illegal property search, were arrested and put into a forced labor camp. Another Dafa practitioner was sentenced to six years of forced labor, in absentia. She has stayed away from home to avoid certain arrest.
On November 5, 2005, Dafa practitioner Ms. Ju Liling's home was searched, and she was detained. Police confiscated personal belongings, including her bank deposit book, showing savings to purchase an apartment and her ID. The arresting officials intimidated her family and demanded that they report any Dafa practitioner who might show up. Their coercive threats were the reason for Liling's 63-year-old husband becoming ill. He had a relapse of his old illness and cannot live without assistance. He had spent a thousand yuan for medical expenses, and for lack of proper care became very thin. Ms. Ju had been detained for over 40 days.
Ms. Ju had many health problems prior to Falun Dafa cultivation. As a small child she lost the sight in her right eye and had limited vision in her left eye. After beginning the practice, her illnesses disappeared and she became healthy. Following her arrest, she had to sleep on a cold bed in the freezing winter, use cold water, and stay in custody without her belongings for two days, which made her kidney problem recur. She became frail and could not live independently. Suffering from the huge mental pressure, she soon lost sight in her left eye. The detention center refused to accept her because she needed personal care. After extorting 2,000 Yuan from her family, the detention center officials released her. She was not issued a receipt for the money. The police said they would detain her again when she recovered.
Wang Chunlin, an agent from the Baokang County State Security Division and a guard where Ms. Ju was detained, extorted 2,000 Yuan from her second husband to pay for Ms. Ju's release. Wang took the money without issuing a receipt. The follow is more background information on Ms. Ju.
Ms. Ju's poor vision made her handicapped. Her first husband died at a young age. To make a living, she was selling goods and tried to financially support her son through college. Because her son still owed the college 8,000 Yuan in tuition and fees, he was not issued his diploma. Financial difficulties prevented him from pursuing graduate studies. An outstanding debt of 8,000 Yuan was a large sum for this handicapped mother, as her annual income was about 2,500 Yuan. It was during these times that Ms. Ju started practicing Falun Gong. Dafa gave her back her life. She regained stable vision and was able to support her son through three years of college. Many people in Baokang Town who had helped her were amazed by her recovery after Falun Gong practice and knew that Dafa had given her a new life. People were shocked and angry when they heard she was detained, persecuted and fined, and they demanded justice.
Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Shujie, 34 years old, was an electrician. She would do whatever job she was assigned to do and considered others first under any circumstances. When the factory made a special product, she was given the work because the management knew that she was trustworthy. Upon hearing that Ms. Zhang was sentenced to three years forced labor, the factory colleagues were sad and worried. During the eventual detention, following a hunger strike, the police admitted Ms. Zhang to Qi hospital for force-feeding. Many Qiyi hospital workers have witnessed this persecution.
Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Guizhi, in her 40s, used to be an employee of the No. 2 Grain Supply Center. People who know her describe her as a kind person who is full of compassion. She is well liked by her co-workers, as well. She never argued or got upset with others. People were stunned when they heard that she was sentenced to three years of forced labor. Ms. Li, who went on an eight-day hunger strike, was later sent to a hospital to be force-fed.
Ms. Zhang and Ms. Li have experienced gross abuse from beatings at the hands of criminals, been subjected to force-feeding and made to wash in extremely cold water in the wintertime.
