(Clearwisdom.net) In the fall of 2005, severe illness befell a 13-year-old sixth grade student named Zhang Ping from a village in Shan County, Shandong Province. Her scalp felt itchy all over, and it soon became painful. After two days, her ears swelled, and her scalp oozed large quantities of bloody pus. When she went to the hospital, the doctor said that she had favus, a severe chronic ringworm of the scalp. The treatment she tried was ineffective. This little girl wept sorrowful tears, and her family members were gripped with worry.
One afternoon, a Dafa practitioner in the village went to clarify the truth to Zhang Ping. She helped Zhang Ping to trim and groom the messy hair stuck on her head and taught her to sincerely recite, "Falun Dafa is good," and "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance is good."
Zhang Ping listened carefully and recited the words. The following day, a miracle began to unfold: the bloody pus on her scalp no longer flowed and dry scabs appeared. After one week, the scabs all fell off, leaving no scars.
Zhang Ping excitedly told others of the wonder of Dafa. Because of the appearance of this miracle, all her family members sincerely recited, "Falun Dafa is good," and all of them benefited from it in both body and mind.
There is an old couple in the same village as Zhang Ping. Ms. Du is 80 years old this year and her husband, Mr. Zhang, is 88 years old. These two old folks suffered a lot in their lives, and eventually became ill because of overwork. Ms. Du suffered from illness for more than 20 years. Her legs became curved and deformed, and the pain made it hard for her to stand. Sometimes the pain in her abdomen was very hard to endure. She went through year after year of treatment, which sometimes helped and sometimes didn't. She relied on crutches to walk. She felt sad and depressed and awaited death to settle everything.
One morning at the beginning of winter in 2005, a Dafa practitioner in the village clarified the truth to her. Seeing Ms. Du's poor health and helpless appearance, she told Ms. Du of the wonder of Dafa and about Zhang Ping's condition before and after. She also asked Ms. Du to firmly remember, "Falun Dafa is good," and "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance is good." Ms. Du began to recite these principles again and again. In the early morning on the second day, her legs were not in pain and she was able to stand up. Her abdomen was also not in pain. She felt that her whole body was strong, and she walked with ease. Ms. Du was so happy that she grinned from ear to ear. Whoever she met, she told them, "Dafa is really wonderful. It is Falun Dafa that saved my life."
Mr. Zhang saw Ms. Du's change in health, and he felt happy in his heart. Mr. Zhang himself had pulmonary emphysema, a chronic lung condition, for over ten years. He often wheezed, puffed and felt short of breath. He had lived separately from his wife for many years. At the beginning, he did not believe in Dafa, but when his asthma became hard to endure in the evening, he knocked on his wife's door and asked anxiously, "What is the sentence [to recite]?" His wife replied, "Falun Dafa is good!" "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance is good!" Mr. Zhang recited the sentences again and again. He then slipped into a tranquil sleep. The next day, Mr. Zhang's breathing became smooth, and his air passages felt clear.
From then on, this couple recited and remembered in their hearts, "Falun Dafa is good!" "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance is good!" They told everyone they met, "It is Dafa that brought the deepest hope to us. "
Ms. Zhang, a 61-year old woman who was from the same village, had lived with chronic lower back pain for 20 years. Many years of treatment, including acupuncture, moxibustion, electric treatment, medicine and injections, were ineffective. She walked bent over, and the ongoing pain chipped away at her desire to live. One day in May 2005, a Dafa practitioner clarified the truth to her and at the same time taught her to recite sincerely, "Falun Dafa is good!" The moment she began to recite it, Ms Zhang's back pain was eased. Early the following morning, she did not feel any back pain. She was able to stand upright, and felt that her whole body was strong and comfortable. Ms. Zhang said to everyone she met, "This is the miracle of Dafa."
