On October 10, 2005, he cooperated with the local 610 Office in the attempted arrest of two employees from his company, Ms. Xu Hui and Ms. Xu Fang, who were sisters. Zhang Yan, a woman in her 40s, is an official of the 610 Office of Jugezhuang in Miyun County, Beijing. She has been an active participant in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners from the very beginning. She has often followed practitioners and had them sent to brainwashing centers. Over a hundred practitioners have suffered as a result of her involvement in the persecution.
Around the time of the Autumn Festival in 2005, Ms. Zhang suffered a broken leg while her husband broke both his feet. It was harvest time, and her several acres of soybeans remained uncut. No one in her neighborhood helped her because she persecuted Falun Gong practitioners.
