Ms. Zhou Yunhua, a 39-year-old practitioner and a mother of two, is from Dianping Village, Fenxi County, Shanxi Province. On August 7, 2006, she was arrested while clarifying the truth in Beixinzhuang Village, Ke City, Pu County, with an elderly practitioner. She is now "illegally imprisoned" in the Pu County Detention Center. She has been beaten by Chen Shuangjing, the political protection section chief in Pu County.

Tian Junping, the head of the 610 Office in Fenxi County, and Liu Shuiwang, a policeman from the Dianping Village public security bureau, went to the police department in Pu County. They released the elderly practitioner after extorting 3,200 yuan from him. Because Ms. Zhou's family did not have any money, the managing committee of the forced labor camp in the Linfen District sentenced her to 18 months of forced labor.

On Nov 2, 2006, five practitioners from the Shijingshan Luguxiao District in Beijing were arrested while distributing "truth clarification" materials. They are being detained at the Shijingshan Branch Detention Center. They are employees of Zhaoyang Hospital, Mr. Xie Yuanbing, Ms. Tan Chun, Mr. Zhang, Mr. Zhao, and Ms. Shi.

At around 10:00 p.m. on November 4, Ms. Zhao Wei, a practitioner from Jilin City, was arrested by officers from Xingan, Tuchengzi, and Guoan police stations. Her home was ransacked. They took a desktop computer, a laptop computer, four printers, a copy machine worth more than 10,000 yuan, 2,800 yuan in cash, and two savings books with 2,000 plus yuan. Ms. Zhao is now being detained at the Tuchengzi police station.

Mr. Ren Dongsheng, Ms. Xu Yufeng, and three other practitioners from Jinghai County, Tianjin City, were arrested while distributing truth clarification materials in the countryside. Their families have not been allowed to visit them. In September 2006, Mr. Ren was sentenced to five years in prison, and Ms. Xu was sentenced to three and a half years. They were both sent to Beidagang Jail in Tianjin City. The situation of the other practitioners is not known.

At the time, she was visiting her family in Ping Yi County, Shandong Province. On Augusut 18, 2005, they ransacked her house, stole more than 3000 yuan in cash, and took her bank deposit book and wages. Soon after, they sentenced her to three years of forced labor. At around 8:00 a.m. on Aug 23, 2006, Ms. Zhao Xiaocong, a practitioner from Junan County, Shandong Province, was arrested by Junan 610 Office police on her way to work. She was sent in the same car with Ms. Son to Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Zhao was sentenced to three years of forced labor.

When their families went to the Guta District Political and Judiciary Committee to ask for their release, they were told the both Ms. Zhang and Ms. Ju were sent to a brainwashing center in Dahuofang, Fushun City, Liaoning Province.

From Chinese New Year 2003 to 2004, Harbin Womens Prison did not allow practitioners to wear winter clothes (cotton-padded jacket and pants). Practitioners were only allowed to wear sweaters and sweatpants. They were subjected to physical punishment and beatings and were left outside to freeze. Practitioners were beaten so badly that their faces swelled up until they could not be recognized. No practitioner escaped injures.

44. [Hebei Province] Baoding Forced Labor Camp Uses Violence to "Transform" Practitioners

Since April, the guards at Baoding Forced Labor Camp have been trying to force practitioners to "transform." The methods have included: not allowing practitioners to sleep, forcing them to stand still for several days and nights straight, making them squat with their hands holding their heads, and shocking them with electric batons. The worst case is Ms. Zhang Huiling. It is said the guards taped her mouth shut and shocked her with electric batons.

46. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Arrested

On November 2, five practitioners from Yamenkou of Shijinshan in Beijing were reported to police while distributing truth-clarifying materials at Tanshisi Park in Mentougou. They were arrested by officers from the local police station and brought back to Shijinshan. Among the five, two are a married couple. The police also illegally searched their homes and confiscated computers, fax machines, and printers. Their children were also taken away. Their current situation is unclear.

47. [Wuchang, Heilongjiang Province] More Information on Practitioner Mr. Guan Yong

Mr. Guan Yong started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. He was forced to divorce his wife, Liu Li, because he insisted on practicing Falun Gong. On October 18, Ms. Liu's mother, Shi Yufeng, reported Mr. Guan to the police. He was taken to Lali Township Police Station and is currently being detained at Tiexi Detention Center in Wuchang City.

Seven practitioners are being detained at Muping Detention Center in Yantai City. Mr. Dong Genren has been on a hunger strike for 19 days. It is said that Ms. Liu Yingling has been secretly transferred to Laiyang.

49. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Sun Juying Arrested and Taken to a Brainwashing Center

On October 27, a family run material production site in the Dianli Residential Area on Wansongyuan Street in the Jianghan District of Wuhan City was destroyed. Ms. Sun Juying and a male practitioner were arrested. Ms. Sun has been sent to Erdaopeng Brainwashing Center in the Jianghan District.

50. [Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Yushu Severely Persecuted at Heilongjiang Women's Prison

Ms. Li Yushu is being held at the prison unit for sick prisoners. She has been on a hunger strike for over two years. In September 2005, the guards force fed Ms. Li a few spoonfuls of porridge three times a day. She is extremely thin. She is kept locked in a room with the windows covered, and two inmates watch her 24 hours a day.

Around 4:00 am on November 7, 2006, over 20 officials and police from Tumenzi Village, Tumenzi Town of Qinglong County broke into practitioner Mr. Han Sheng and Ms. Song Guixian's home. There was no one home at the time. They took notebook computers, printers, CD burners, and other material. Later, they went to practitioner Mr. Huang Jun's home and took him to the police station. Mr. Meng Fanquan, 45, from Tangshan City, was arrested by officers from the Lubei Police Bureau in Tangshan City on April 18, 2006, and sentenced to seven years in prison. Tumuji Forced Labor Camp in Tumuji Ranch, Jalaid, Inner Mongolia, is currently torturing steadfast practitioners and trying to force them to renounce Falun Dafa. Local practitioner Ms. Wang Yinghua has been imprisoned in the camp for over a year and was mentally tortured. In recent months, six guards and two former practitioners (collaborators) have been taking turns watching her. They deprive her of sleep and force her to stand all the time. Her family isn't allowed to visit her.

In the morning on October 26, 2006, police from the Nanguan District Public Safety Bureau and Nanjie Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Dong Liqin, of Changchun City, from home.

On the morning of October 26, 2006, practitioner Ms. Dong Liqin's son, Mr. Li Zhuo, was leaving for work. As soon as he opened the door, three officers rushed in and tried to arrest Ms. Dong. Her husband got into a fight with them and they called more police. The police arrested Ms. Dong and her husband and took them to the police station. The couple was not released until 6 p.m. Her husband's ribs were injured because of police brutality and he couldn't sleep well at night. His wrists were also injured from the handcuffs. The police confiscated a computer, a laptop, an unknown amount of cash, two cell phones, and Falun Dafa books from their home. Ms. Dong's son couldn't do his work efficiently because of the loss of the laptop.

Ms. Dong's sisters, Ms. Dong Lihua and Ms. Dong Lijuan, were also arrested when they visited their sister at home. Their household belongings were also confiscated. Now all three of them are in the Third Detention Center in Changchun City.

56. [Panjin, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Yuzhu Is Tortured in the Youtian Detention Center

In August 2006, practitioner Ms. Wang Yuzhu went to the Liaohe Oil Field, Panjin City, Liaoning Province, to clarify the truth. Officers from the Yingbin Police Station in Panjin City arrested her and took her to the Youtian Detention Center to torture her.

The Jiamusi Suburb Court sentenced practitioner Mr. Wang Jun from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, to four years. On November 9, 2006, he was transferred to the Xianglan Prison Concentration Team from the Jiamusi Detention Center. Mr. Wang's family has never been informed of his incarceration.

Mr. Li Zhangju, 57, is from Xihongmiao Village, Gucheng Town, Xin County. On July 10, 2006, Jiang Tao, Vice Director of the Gucheng Police Station, and Zhu Gousheng broke into Mr. Li's house at 9 a.m., arrest him and took him to the Xin County Detention Center. Practitioner Ms. Deng Fenfen worked in a grinding factory. At 11 a.m. on October 31, 2006, police arrested her while she was clarifying the truth. She is now in a brainwashing center located in the Tashui Group 1 Nursery in Dongzikou, Chengdu City.

In Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, practitioners Ms. Ding Xueling, Ms. Zhang Xueqiong, Ms. Lin Jinrong, and Ms. Zhang Shiying were clarifying the truth in Dongyue Town, Guan'an City. Someone who didn't know the truth reported them to the police. Dongyue Town governmental officials arrested Ms. Ding, Ms. Zhang Xueqiong and Ms Lin at the scene and brutally beat them in public until they were cut and bleeding. Ms. Zhang Shiying was arrested a week later. Currently they are being held in the Guang'an Detention Center.

Zhang Yangfa, secretary of Longbei Village, brought a few unknown people and took him to the town hall. A police officer wanted Mr. Yin to get into a police car but he refused. The officer grabbed his head , pushed him into the car, and took him away. Mr. Yin's whereabouts are unknown.
