2. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Latest Development on the Persecution of Mr. Liu Quanwang in the Jinzhou Forced Labor Institute
On November 26, 2006, Mr. Liu Quanwang was stopped by prisoner Li Gangqiang while he was practicing Falun Gong exercises. Li threw Mr. Liu's clothes into the hallway and then beat him. Guard Yang Tinglun did not come into the cell to stop Li. Instead, he took Mr. Liu to the office, where Yang and another guard, Bai Jinlong, scolded him. They threatened to extend Mr. Liu's term. Yang had scolded Mr. Liu on various occasions. Bai Jinlong, the head of the division, often beats Mr. Liu.
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Qi Mingli under Persecution; His Family Members Turned in to the Police for Inquiring into His Situation
In recent months, Mr. Qi Mingli, a Falun Gong practitioner unlawfully held in custody, suffered from deterioration due to an illness in his leg. One of his legs turned numb, and he lost sensation in one of his big toes. Last month, Mr. Qi suddenly experienced excruciating pain in his leg and could not fall asleep at night or was woken up by pain in the early hours. On December 7, 2006, his family went to the authorities of the forced labor institute to communicate about Mr. Qi's situation. However, Ni Jiyao (gender unknown) of the Administration Section and Li Yuhou (gender unknown) of the Education Section called in officers from the Zhongtun Police Station in Taihe District, Jinzhou City. Officers Ding Yong and Gao Wenbo (genders unknown) from the Zhongtun Police Station forcibly took the family members away.

4. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] 610 Office Interferes With Cases Handled by the Appeals Office
The county and commune system in Dingxing County, Baoding City went bankrupt. Former employees were entitled to dissolution payments. However, some officials in the system's human resources section used the excuse that Ms. Niu Keming was not giving up practicing Falun Dafa and withheld her payment. Ms. Niu did not receive insurance coverage for her retirement payment either. She went to the county's appeals office to report her situation, and her case was filed at the appeals office. Tian Shiyuan (gender unknown), Director of the county's 610 Office, rudely overruled, "No one and no organization, without explicit instructions from the 610 Office, cannot take on a case involving Falun Gong. The 610 Office is affiliated directly with the Central Party Committee."
5. [Chongqing City] Practitioners Ms. Zhao Xingmei and Ms. Zhang Chengying Taken into Custody Again
Ms. Zhao Xingmei and Ms. Zhang Chengying from the Wanzhou Area were taken into custody by the Wanzhou State Security Division on September 26, 2006. On October 25, 2006, they managed to get out with righteous thoughts in mind. On December 18, 2006, Ms. Zhao and Ms. Zhang went to Lushan to clarify the truth. They were taken into custody again by the state security officers at around 6:00 p.m. The officers also searched their homes. They are currently being held at the Zhoujiaba Detention Center.
6. [Chenxi County, Hunan Province] Recent Situation on the Persecution of Practitioner Mr. Yu Shaoqi
On the morning of December 8, 2006, the director of the Huaihua Meteorology Bureau went to the home of Mr. Yu Shaoqi, a practitioner in the Chenxi County Meteorology Bureau, in an attempt to take him to a mental hospital. Mr. Yu managed to escape with righteous thoughts in mind. Mr. Yu returned to his home around 9:00 p.m. the same evening. Somtime past midnight, a dozen or so officers from the 610 Office and the State Security Division broke into his home again. Mr. Yu's parents confronted the officers and the officers had nothing to say. All the officers left except the director of the 610 Office, who put on a deceptive disguise while continuing to pressure Mr. Yu's parents to send Mr. Yu away. To this day, Mr. Yu Shaoqi has been held in a mental hospital for over a week. He has been on hunger strike to resist the persecution.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] A College Student Unreasonably Expelled for Clarifying the Truth
On September 21, 2006, a Falun Gong practitioner was unreasonably expelled by the Hydraulic and Electric Professional Institute in Hubei Province as the freshmen military training was about to end. The student was clarifying the truth on campus, and another student turned him in to the authorities. The institute announced the dismissal in an institute-wide conference. Three policewomen from the Hongshan District Police Department also attended the conference and slandered Dafa. Teachers and students who were not aware of the truth of the persecution were further poisoned.

8. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lin Kuimei and Another Practitioner Arrested
Ms. Lin Kuimei is a practitioner from Beiyujia Village in Zhangxing Town, Zhaoyuan City. On November 30, 2006, she was arrested by security staff led by Wang Dewei, Party Secretary of Longhudou Village in Zhangxing Town, while clarifying the truth. He then turned her in to the Zhangxing Town government. Currently Ms. Lin Kuimei is being held in the Lingnan Brainwashing Center in Zhaoyuan City.
Ms. Zhang, a practitioner from Weifang City, was arrested by Longkou police in early November. She is being held in the Zhangjiakou Prison for persecution.

On December 19, 2006, the Bohai Petroleum Company, in association with the Tianjin Police Department took a dozen or so practitioners who work in Bohai Petroleum Company into custody including Mr. Zhang Wensheng, Mr. Ding Youbang, Ms. Zhang Huizhen, Ms. Xu Meizhen and her daughter. These practitioners are being held in the Tanggu District Detention Center.

On December 19, 2006, practitioners Ms. Wang Aixiang, Ms. Xia Chun'e, and Ms. Huang Rongxiu from Wuhan City were arrested by the police while sending forth righteous thoughts near the Duanqinkou Prison in Hanyang.
11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Rongfang Still Missing
Practitioner Ms. Li Rongfang, who lived in the Civil Aviation residential community in Jianghan District, Wuhan City, went out to distribute truth-clarifying materials on bike. She never returned. Her family found the bike she was riding but could not find her.

At around 3:00 p.m. on December 16, 2006, Mr. Liu Yan, a practitioner from Yingkou City, was arrested by officers from the Shengli Police Station while distributing truth-clarifying materials in the bicycle storage area in front of the Donghuimen Market. At around 5:00 p.m. the police searched his home and confiscated some Falun Dafa materials. Currently, Mr. Liu Yan is being held in the Yingkou City Detention Center.

14. [Tianjin City] Latest Developments on the Persecution of Practitioners
On December 19, 2006, twelve Falun Gong practitioners who live in the family quarters of the Bohai Petroleum Company in Tianjin were detained on criminal charges all at once. They were taken to the Crime Investigation Division in the Tanggu Police Department that day and have not returned. Except for Ms. Xu Meizheng and her daughter Ms. Zhang Fen, who were released since the police did not find any so-called materials, the other practitioners remain in custody. The practitioners are: Mr. Wang Jinyao, Mr. Zhang Wensheng, Ms. Zhang Huizhen, Ms. Ding Youling, Ms. Fang Baoying, Ms. Li Yanxia and Ms. Chen Shouxiang.

At around 3:00 p.m. on December 19, 2006, practitioner Mr. Cui Yuqing was taken to the Luotai Shanzhuang Brainwashing Center by officers from the Nanzamu 610 Office and Police Department.

It has been learned that in November 2006, there were practitioners arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Walmart Corporation at Yuhuating Neighborhood, Yuhua District, the family quarters of the Changsha City Boiler Factory, and Zuojiatang Neighborhood.

18. [Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Jiang Cui Tortured in Wangcun Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Jiang Cui, a practitioner from Yantai City, Shandong Province, was sentenced to three years of forced labor. She has been cruelly tortured for refusing to comply with any of the unreasonable demands. She was hung, for 20 days, on a heating pipe with both her feet not touching the ground and her body pressed to the heat dissipating vent. All of her four limbs were numb, and she could not move after she was put down. She was then left to sleep on the bare cement floor for over two months. She shouted "Falun Dafa is Good!" and the guards asked inmates to seal her mouth with transparent tape. She was punished by standing for extended hours without sleep. If she moved, she would be further punished by being punctured with needles.

On December 19, 2006, four police officers broke into several practitioners' homes in Wangyuan Village in Shiqiaozi Town, Zhucheng City, Shandong Province. Ms. Wang Shuxin was taken into custody. On the same day, the police also searched practitioners' homes in Dazhusupu Village in the same town, taking Ms. Liu Meihua and Ms. Wang Ruizhen into custody.
21. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ms. Guo Zhiping Arrested
On the morning of December 18, 2006, Ms. Guo Zhiping, a practitioner from Xinshi District in Baoding City, was taken away from her home for no reason by officers from the South Jianshe Road Police Station in Xinshi District. Her whereabouts are unknown.
On November 27, Mr. Luo Liansheng, a practitioner from Xiaojidian Village in Fuchang Township in Xinshi District, Baoding City, was turned in to the police. He was forced to leave home after officers from the Fuchang Township Police Station searched his home. A few days ago, he returned home and was taken away by the police to a brainwashing center.
In addition, quite a few practitioners held in the Balizhuang Forced Labor Center in Baoding City have been on hunger strike for days to protest the persecution.

22. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Yuwei's Forced Labor Term Unreasonably Extended
Ms. Liu Yuwei, 38, is a practitioner from Yiyang City, Hunan Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in December 1998. In March 2001, she was sentenced for one year of forced labor, but she was not released until December 2002. She had suffered all sorts of torture while being held in the Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City.
In March 2004, Ms. Liu was forced to divorce her husband under pressure. She was also forced to become homeless and destitute. On June 9, 2005, Ms. Liu Yuwei was arrested by the police for clarifying the truth and distributing materials to residents in Changsha City, Hunan Province. She was sentenced to eighteen months of forced labor and sent to the Baimalong Forced Labor again, where she went through brutal abuse. Her term was brought up on December 8, 2006. However, the labor camp authorities extended her term to December 27, 2006.

23. [Beijing] Mr. Liu Furan and Other Practitioners Taken into Custody

24. [Linying County, Henan Province] Practitioner Ms. Ma Yueqin Taken Away by the 610 Office
Ms. Ma Yueqin, a practitioner from Guxiang Village in Guxiang Township, Linyin County, Leihe City, was taken away from her home by officers from the Linyin County 610 Office on around December 12, 2006. Her whereabouts are unknown.

25. [Pingyuan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Song Guangxi and Other Practitioners Taken into Custody
On November 30, 2006, officers from the Pingyuan County 610 Office took Ms. Song Guangxi and Ms. Song Xiaohui in Songzhuang Village into custody. The officers beat them, forced them to stand and crouch for extended hours, and deprived them of sleep. Mr. Song remains in custody at the detention center. On December 5, officers from the 610 Office took Mr. Zhang Jiyun and other practitioners into custody. During the same period of time, the officers also searched the homes of Mr. Zhang Jitian and another practitioner in Wangdagua Township, confiscating VCD players and other personal items.
