1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Numerous Practitioners Taken into Custody
On October 10, 2006, when practitioners from Baoding City, Hebei Province went to the Balizhuang Forced Labor Camp in Baoding City to send righteous thoughts at a short distance, nine of them were taken into custody. Eight practitioners were confirmed to have been taken away including: Mr. Liu Zengpai, Mr. Li Yingeng, Ms. Li Qingru, Ms. Zhang Fengqin, and Ms. Liang Caiping. The police also searched the homes of those practitioners from within Baoding City. The practitioners are being unlawfully held in the State Security Division in Nanshi District, Baoding City.
2. [Haiyan County, Zhejiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhu Cuilan Arrested
Ms. Zhu Cuilan, a practitioner from Haiyan County, Zhejiang Province, was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials before the October 1 National Day. She is being held in a detention center.
3. [Huaibei City, Anhui Province] Ms. He Hongling, an Elementary School Teacher, Faces Prison Term
Ms. He Hongling is a school teacher at the Shiyan Elementary School in Huaibei City, Anhui Province. In October 2005, she told stories about Falun Dafa to her students. Zhu Lin, a parent of a student, and Liu Feng, driver of the Huaibei City 610 Office, turned in Ms. He to the authorities. She was arrested by the 610 Office and later released on parole. The Xiangshan District Court in Huaibei City scheduled the court hearing on October 13, 2006.

4. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Six Practitioners Put on Trial and Sentenced to Prison
In October 2006, six practitioners have been unlawfully sentenced. A husband and wife are employees of the Shengli Oil Fields. The wife's name is Wang Mingyun, who is being held in the Huantai County Forced Labor Camp. Her husband had already spent three years in a labor camp (currently he is in the Zibo City Forced Labor Camp). They received a harsh sentencing of seven and eight years in prison respectively. They filed appeals to the Zibo City Intermediate Court. The other four practitioners have not filed an appeal.

5. [Zhejiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Chen Yan Unlawfully Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
On the evening of October 29, 2005, Ms. Chen Yan, a practitioner in Zhejiang Province, went to a residential community in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province to distribute truth-clarifying leaflets, DVDs, and copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. She was unlawfully arrested and sentenced to three years in prison on June 12, 2006. She has been sent to the Zhejiang Provincial Prison.
6. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. An Fengbo and His Wife, Both Practitioners, Arrested
At around 10:00 p.m. on October 4, half a dozen plainclothes police officers from the Huashan Road Police Station arrived at a relative of Mr. An Fengbo's home in two vehicles. They claimed that they were to drive Mr. An and his wife home. Instead, they forcibly dragged the couple into the car and took them to the Huashan Road Police Station.

8. [Heilongjiang Province] Persecution Against Ms. Zhang Qiurong and Ms. Qi Shuzhen in Harbin Women's Prison
Ms. Zhang Qiurong, 36, is from Mulan County. Since her admission into the women's prison, she has undergone physical abuse and prison guards have struck her on the head with wooden clubs, and pulled her hair to bang her head against the wall. As she refused to be "transformed," she had been held in a small cell, handcuffed with two pairs of handcuffs, and struck on the head. Later, when Ms. Zhang was held in isolation, she was held down while being injected with drugs which damaged her nervous system. After numerous injections, she gradually lost her memory, could not see clearly, and lost her mental clarity. Since then she has been sent to a patient ward.
Practitioner Ms. Qi Shuzhen, in her 70's, was injured after half a dozen inmates beat her for reading Teacher's recent articles.
9. [Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Lu Yinhua Unlawfully Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Lu Yinhua, in her 50's, is from Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. She had been subjected to constant police harassment for steadfastly cultivating Falun Dafa. Her home had been ransacked, and she had been taken into custody. In 2002, she was sentenced to two years of forced labor for distributing truth-clarifying materials. In 2005, she was again arrested by the police and sentenced to seven years in prison. She is being held in the No. 1 Women's Prison in Zhejiang Province. There are six practitioners who were sentenced with her. Detailed information is not yet available.

10. [Shandong Province] Dafa Practitioners Mistreated in Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp
Practitioners Ms. Cheng Ailing and Ms. Xiang Fengrong were subjected to the death bed torture. Their hands and feet were tied tightly to the four corners of the bed, and their buttocks were bleeding as a result of being pressed on the hard surface. In summer time, sweat soaked the bed in the shape of their bodies.
Ms. Zhang Peimei and Ms. Dai Yuying were each tied with their backs against the legs of a chair and their arms twisted back. They were forced to sit on the cement floor. They were not allowed to use the bathroom and had to relieve themselves in their pants.
Ms. Zhan Lihua had been penalized by being forced to stand for seventeen days and nights. Her legs swelled terribly.
Ms. Zhu Guiying, 58, was tied onto a window frame in winter because she wrote "Falun Dafa Is Good." The guards left the windows open and icy wind blew on her. Her hands and feet turned numb, and her legs swelled. Labor camp guards continued to abuse her by kicking her.
Ms. Wang Xiurong, in her 50's, was a teacher. She said, "Fellow practitioners, we are innocent and wrongfully treated...." As a result, the guards locked her up and handcuffed her until her wrist broke from the torture.
Ms. Wang Xifang spoke about the abuse she suffered and was knocked down to the ground by the labor camp guards. They then dragged her upstairs and grabbed her hair to smash her head against the wall. She was tortured for several days.
In addition, those steadfast practitioners who flatly refused to "transform" had been held in isolation. Almost all of them were emaciated and crippled and could hardly walk. Some were held in isolation for two or three years without others knowing where they were. Even if they died, no one would know.
11. [Hebei Province] Handan City Forced Labor Camp Extends Terms for Mr. Han Qingcheng and Other Practitioners
In Spring 2006, the Handan City Forced Labor Camp extended forced labor terms for Dafa practitioners, including Mr. Han Qingcheng, Mr. Gu Daping, Mr. Lu Jianmin, Mr. Bao Jige, Mr. Zhang Huaijun, Mr. Qin Peng, Mr. Han Meng, and Mr. Zhang Zhongyi.
Practitioners Mr. Wang Jianshe and Mr. Wang Guoxin were held in isolation for over six months and three months respectively.
12. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Ms. Xu Yulian and Mr. Wu Hongwei Detained
Ms. Xu Yulian and her son Mr. Wu Hongwei, residents of Niuying Village in Zhoukou City, Henan Province, placed truth-clarifying materials outside someone's home. That person turned them in to the police.
On September 16, 2006, the police took Ms. Xu and her son into custody and held them in the Zengwa Detention Center in Zhoukou City.
13. [Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Yi Yingfang Taken into Custody
On the afternoon of August 27, 2006, officers from the Chongzhou City Police Department in Sichuan Province broke into practitioner Ms. Yi Yingfang's home. They confiscated Dafa books and materials. Neighbors who gathered outside Ms. Yi's home stopped the police from beating her. Several officers dragged her into the car. Ms. Yi is being held in the city's detention center. Her family has not been granted any visits.
14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Liu Qingshui Mistreated
Practitioner Mr. Liu Qingshui is a resident of Qiaokou District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. In 2003, the Hanyang District Court of Wuhan City sentenced him to three years in prison and he was sent to the Fanjiatan Prison in Shayang City, Hubei Province. On October 23, 2006, Mr. Liu will have served his full term. However, the officials in Fanjiatan Prison handed him to the 610 Office, and he was sent to a brainwashing class in Wuhan City to be further persecuted.

In mid-September 2006, Ms. Xu Lun, a practitioner from Zhen’an Township, Fuling City, Sichuan Province, Ms. Zhang Dingying, and another male practitioner were unexpectedly arrested by the police of Fuling City and the local police station.

On the night of October 9, 2006, Cheng Jihai, a resident from Zhangjia Village, Qian’erdao Township, Fengman District, Jilin City, was arrested. He was detained in the police station for a day and was sent to the Police Department of Fengman District on October 11, 2006.

I am a practitioner from Jiangxi Province and was detained in the Women’s Labor Camp of Jiangxi Province for over a year. Most of the practitioners who were detained with me were in their 50’s and 60’s. They were forced to work more than twelve hours daily and their work hours were often extended when they were not able to finish their work. The practitioners who refused to renounce Falun Gong suffered from deprivation of sleep, bathing, and restroom use. They were not allowed to purchase their daily necessities and were forced to attend brainwashing class. Criminal inmates were instigated to torture practitioners.

Ms. Xue Shuyu, a practitioner from Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is currently being detained in the sixth section of the Women’s Prison in Nanjing City. She was strictly confined and there is a police officer guarding her around the clock. She is not allowed to sleep.

Mr. Yan Yaodong, around 60 years old, is a practitioner from Jiansanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. On October 7, 2006, he was arrested by police from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. On October 9, 2006, the police came to his home and broke into his house and storage. They confiscated two bags of his belongings.

On October 8, 2006, at around 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., police destroyed a materials production site on Huigong Street, Shenhe District, Shenyang City. They confiscated the computer and other equipment and arrested practitioners Mr. Li Wei, Mr. Shi, and Ms. Wang.

On the morning of October 8, 2006, practitioner Ms. Xu Jinxia was riding a bicycle at a railroad crossing near Linghe Market in Chaoyang City. Officers from the division working on special cases in the Guangming Police Department arrested her. Ms Xu was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp directly. She is being held in the No. 2 Group of the No. 3 Division.

On June 20, 2006, practitioner Ms. Pan Rongchun was arrested in Longgang, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. 29. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ms. Feng Ruixue under Persecution
Ms. Feng Ruixue, a practitioner from Shijiazhuang City, is a teacher at the Combined Chinese and Western Medicine Institute of Hebei Medical University. In April 2006, she was spotted by security guards at the surveillance camera station while distributing materials exposing "live organ harvesting by the Chinese Communist Party." She was turned in to the police and arrested by officers from Hongqi Police Station in Qiaoxi District, Shijiazhuang City. She was later released on parole after being extorted of 5,000 yuan.

30. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Persecution Ms. Liu Chunlan Has Suffered
Ms. Liu Chunlan started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. On January 1, 2000, she went to Beijing to speak out on behalf of Falun Gong and was held overnight at the Tiananmen Police Department. Local police officers took her back to the detention center the next day. She was unlawfully held there for fifteen days and her home was ransacked.
In June 2000, the police suddenly broke into her home, confiscated Dafa books, Teacher's portraits, and recent articles. She was held in custody again for fifteen days.
In September 2004, Ms. Liu and fellow practitioners went to the countryside to deliver truth-clarifying materials. She was arrested after police received reports and was detained for fifteen days. She was subsequently sentenced to three years of forced labor and sent to the Qiqihar Forced Labor Camp.
31. [Yongji County, Jilin Province] Practitioner Mr. Chen Maixiang Taken into Custody
At around 10:00 a.m. on October 9, 2006, Mr. Chen Baixiang, a practitioner from Chaluhe Town in Yongji County, was arrested by officers from the Chaluhe Town Police Department. He is being held at the Yongji County Detention Center.

At around 10:40 a.m. on October 8, 2006, over a dozen officers led by Xia Qiaorong and You Jiangfeng from the 610 Office broke into Mr. Fan Guojin's home and arrested him.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ma Shengcai lives in Chaishan Village, Chaishan Township, Yishui County. On the morning of October 9, 2006, he went to his relative’s home at Cuijiayu Town and was reported to the authorities while he was clarifying the truth and handing out materials on his way. He was then illegally arrested by the Cuijiayu Town local police and later imprisoned at the County Detention Center by the County National Security Brigade.

On around September 20, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Sun Xinai from the 22nd Regiment, Second Agricultural Division, Xinjiang Construction Army was reported and subsequently arrested when she was copying a hand-written version of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in a copy service shop in Yanqi County.
A few days later, policemen from the Police Bureau of Yanqi County went to the 22nd Regiment and arrested Ms. Qu Xiuying, Mr. Li Shaojiang, and several other practitioners. They are unlawfully detained in the detention center of Yanqi County and are faced with trials and sentencing to forced labor camps.

43. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhao Yiguang Arrested
On the evening of October 10, 2006, about a dozen policemen from the Nancheng Police Station, National Security Brigade of the Police Bureau of Shulan City, Jilin Province directed several police cars and unlawfully broke into the house of practitioner Mr. Zhaoyiguang. After an illegal search of the house, the policemen forcibly arrested Zhao Yiguang and his wife. Later, Zhao’s wife was sent to the hospital because her heart illness recurred after the police extorted 3000 yuan from them. Now, Zhao Yiguang is unlawfully detained in the Detention Center of Shulan County and is subjected to persecution.

45. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Li Hongwei and Several Other Practitioners Arrested and Taken to the Zhang Shi Brainwashing Center
At 10:00 a.m. on October 8, 2006, several plainclothes policemen broke into the house of Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang in Shenyang City. They unlawfully arrested Ms. Wang, Mr. Li Hongwei, Ms. Shi Geng, and Mr. Li Yang, and took them to the Shandongmiao Police Station in Shenhe District. At 2:00 p.m. on October 9, 2006, these four practitioners were taken to the Zhangshi Brainwashing Center in Shenyang City. During a visitation, Zhang Hongwei’s family members found that his body was full of wounds. Falun Dafa practitioner Luo Zhenggui, a retired cadre from Shibao Town, Gulin County, Sichuan Province, has been arrested and taken to brainwashing classes many times since 1999. On December 23, 2003, he was taken to the Police Bureau of Gulin County and was subjected to inhuman brutal tortures. He was sentenced to three years and six months. In 2004, he was transferred to the Guangyuan Prison and was subjected to further persecution. In March 2006, his family sent him 400 yuan by mail and wrote him several letters. No reply was heard from him.
