I am sixty-four years old. Below I will report my cultivation experience to Teacher and fellow practitioners.
Teacher said in the "Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference,"
"Of the three things to validate the Fa, one is to study the Fa well, one is to clarify the facts, and another is to take sending righteous thoughts seriously."
I have tried my best to do these three things well.
My education only reached the elementary school level. I have several grandsons and granddaughters. Some of them are still very young. I always reminded myself to place the Fa at the most important position. At the very beginning of my truth-clarification, my spouse and my children all monitored me and tried to block me. So, sometimes I waited until they were asleep to start to do truth-clarification work. For example, in the afternoons in summer or at the later half into the night, I would write, post or distribute truth-clarification materials, or talk to people in person, as long as opportunities existed. No matter how many people there were, I would talk to them, and I did whatever I was supposed to do, without feeling afraid of what others would say about me. I decided that no one should interfere with me. Under Teacher's protection and guidance, I quickly broke through the opposition from my family members.
As time went on, my sons no longer needed me to do most of the housework. This way, I could study one lecture of Zhuan Falun every day. At night, I went to practitioners' houses to participate in group study, with no exceptions. Even before everyone started to study as a group, I did not waste a minute and always started to study on my own. I practiced all five sets of exercises every day. From 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight, except for special situations, I sent righteous thoughts on the top of every hour. Even when I went to work in the field, I carried a knitting bag and a watch. At the top of the hour, I would put the bag on the ground and sat on it to send righteous thoughts. I never missed the set times of righteous thoughts for Falun Dafa practitioners all over the world. When I got used to this, my children and relatives all knew about it and they even tried to find the time or places for me to do the practice. For example, one day when our family members were making dumplings, my daughter-in-law noticed that it was time for me to send righteous thoughts, so she said, "You have something to do, so please go to do it." So I went into another room and sent righteous thoughts. Once I was visiting a relative. There were many people there. It was almost noon. I looked everywhere, but could not find a place for me (to sit down). My niece saw this, and said to me, "Aunt, you are walking everywhere. Is it because it is time for you to do the practice?" She immediately found me a place.
Teacher said in Guiding the Voyage,
"But when someone comes to persecute the Fa, what should you, a disciple, a particle of Dafa, do? Shouldn't you let the truth be known and make people aware of the facts?" (Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. Fa Conference)
So, I do not let any opportunity to clarify the truth and save sentient beings pass. I clarify the truth wherever I go. At the beginning, I mainly distributed truth-clarification materials at noon and at night. I rode a bike and distributed the materials to residences and workplaces. Twice I saw police cars parked by the roadside with the windows open, so I placed several copies of the materials in the cars since police officers are also people we need to save. When I ran out of truth-clarification materials, I would write statements to post. Every year, on Chinese New Year's Eve or Chinese New Year's Day, I always went out to clarify the truth. When other Falun Dafa practitioners were suffering in prisons, if I sat at home eating dumplings, my heart would not feel good.
I remember one year it was very cold and the road was very slippery. I tumbled several times. However, after I completed the truth-clarification work, my heart was feeling a lot better. I knew clearly that every copy of the truth-clarification materials was hard to obtain. Later I started to distribute the materials to people directly, and speak to people face to face, so that not one copy of the materials was wasted. In the meantime, I also could talk about the quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Sometimes, at places where many were gathering, people struggled to grab the truth-clarification materials. When I saw these sentient beings eagerly waiting to be saved, my heart felt very sad, since I realized that many more sentient beings are waiting for us to save them. Besides grasping all opportunities, I also took the initiative to walk through streets and alleys, or by the roadside, fields, factories, construction areas and other places to clarify the truth. These days, as long as I go out, I can persuade several people to withdraw from the CCP.
"Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy." (Essentials for Further Advancement II, "Rationality")
I followed Teacher's guidance, and clarified the truth based upon the psychology of ordinary people's desire to listen to pleasing words and by beginning from the different types of attachments of different people.
Below are several such examples:
Once I was speaking to someone working in a field, but he refused to listen, claiming that he was a village cadre. I said, "I can tell that you are someone who is supposed to be a leader, since you appear to be someone with a clear mind. As soon as I tell you, you will understand." Then I told him the facts about Falun Dafa and also gave him some truth-clarification materials. He accepted all of them.
Once I was clarifying the truth to business people, drivers, and construction workers, and persuaded them to quit the CCP by exposing the evil the party has done over the years. These people deeply resented the corruption of the evil CCP. I said to them, "It is hard for you to earn money, however, your money is clean and honest. You know officials who take gifts or obtain money through corruption. In fact, their hearts do not feel good." Some people also followed my words to speak up about the evil doings of the CCP. Some withdrew from the CCP right then. Some even wanted to study the Fa.
However, I also encountered difficulties during the process of truth-clarification. Once at the side of the road I was stopped by a police car. A fellow practitioner was arrested while I rode my bike off the road and began to pedal quickly toward a village. As I went, I was asking Teacher to save me. Behind me there was someone chasing me on a motorcycle. When I was getting closer to the streets of the village, there were many people. I was almost caught, when I put aside the bike and went into a bathroom. The person chasing me walked in a circle on the street and then left. With Teacher's protection, I safely escaped.
Another time I went out to post a truth-clarification banner at night. I only walked for a little while when I suddenly stumbled. Consequently, my arm was broken in three places. After I was taken to the hospital, I was indeed diagnosed with broken bones. The doctor recommended me to go to a larger hospital to receive surgery. I steadfastly refused. The doctor lectured me, and asked, "Who are you planning to have to take care of you for the rest of your life?" I replied, "I do not need anyone. I am fine." Finally my arm was stretched straight and plastered. After I got home, I thought, "No one dares to interfere with me in saving sentient beings." A staff member from a gas station was waiting for me to deliver the truth-clarification VCDs. I rode the bike with one hand and delivered the VCD to him. At night, I still used one hand to write truth-clarification statements. Afterwards, I went out to post them all by myself. "Good or evil comes from that instant thought" (Zhuan Falun, 2003 Translation) Although the injury appeared to be very serious on the surface, I never felt any pain and my arm soon recovered. I also took this opportunity to show my relatives how miraculous Falun Dafa is when they came to visit me.
What I have cultivated is far from what Teacher requires of me. Sometimes I could not maintain my xinxing nor control my temper. Sometimes I also had the attachment to fear. I realize that it is not me and therefore I am eliminating it. I still have many attachments that have not yet been cultivated away. I shall work hard to let them go. In one sentence: Whatever Teacher says, I will follow, and I will follow Teacher all the way.
