(Clearwisdom.net) On September 29, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners in San Diego held an anti-torture exhibition and signature collection exposing the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners at a local well-known tourist site. A navy officer came to the practitioners' stand, as he was attracted by the peaceful and graceful exercise demonstration. He told the practitioners, "Your exhibition is very good. Can I invite you to participate in the annual Cultural Diversity Festival at the Naval Base?" He left his phone and contact information.

The Cultural Diversity Festival showed the unique cultures and customs across the world to navy officers and sailors and their families, through displaying the costumes, art, photos and food of various countries. The practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, performed on waist drums, showed traditional calligraphy, and distributed little lotus flowers and truth-clarification flyers.

Some officers said they had been to Hong Kong and knew that Falun Gong was banned in China. The practitioners explained the facts to them further. A senior officer said happily, "It’s very good to invite you to the festival. You are the first such group we have ever invited."

Some officers were very interested in the exercises. Some asked where to visit Falun Gong websites and said they planned to learn Falun Gong.

The festival ended at 6:00 p.m. The organizers made a point to come to the practitioners’ booth and told us that the base commander appreciated our participation and hoped that we would come again next year.
