Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liang Lixia, who works at the Hong Kong Airport, returned to Guangzhou City to visit her family in early September 2006. 3. [Liaoning City] Police and Criminals Beat Practitioner Mr. Li Xinliang
Police incited several, criminals to beat Mr. Li Xinliang in the No.16 Ward in Shenyang City's No.1 Prison on August 29, 2006 because he practiced Falun Gong. Police put him later into a "tight administration team." Mr. Li went on a hunger strike to protest, so the police had to send him back to a common cell. When Mr. Li practiced Falun Gong late at night, criminal Gao Zhenchun brutally beat him. Once again was he put into the "tight administration team." His health is very poor.

Practitioner Mr. Yang Zhonghong from Lushuihe Town, Fusong County, Jilin Province, clarified the truth of Falun Gong to policeman Liang’s wife at around 10:00 a.m. on September 19, 2006, but she reported him to the police and Mr. Yang was arrested on the spot.
Five practitioners were arrested at the Waste Collection Station owned by Wang Zhongliang at around 1:00 p.m. on September 19, 2006. They are: Ms. Zhou Cuiling (around 50 years old), Ms. Dong Guirong (69 years old), Ms. Yang Mingzhen (58 years old), Mr. Sun Changping (around 30 years old), and Mr. Sun Chang Ping’s mother (64 years old). The police hit Mr. Sun’s nose so hard that it bled.

Police arrested practitioner Mr. Tang Yong from the Shijingshan District in Beijing at his home in the 8th Division of the Army Residential Area. They also ransacked his home.

Practitioners Mr. Wang Wenkai and Ms. Hu Yiwu, his wife, both around 36 years old, were reported. Police arrested them from their home in Room No. 1408, No.15 Building, Shuangqigandongli Lane, Xicheng District in Beijing. Police later ransacked their home twice.
Ms. Hu’s 7-year-old daughter and her father, in his 70s, who had suffered a stroke were left home without care.

Practitioner Ms. Wu Yuye was reported to police when clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. Agents from the "110" (similar to 911) police department arrested her from her home. Later, personnel from the National Security Team took the key that had been confiscated from Ms. Wu, opened her home, and ransacked the place. They confiscated some Dafa books and other personal items. Ms. Wu is currently being held at the Yishui County Detention Center.

18. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Including Mr. Li Ming Persecuted at Xichang Prison
About ten practitioners who were held in the Tai’an City Prison went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution in July and August 2006. Police beat them and ordered four to eight criminal inmates to monitor each practitioner. Those inmates beat practitioners into unconsciousness, poured cold water on them to wake them up, and continued the torture. All family visits to determined practitioners were denied.
The prison hospital found that practitioner Mr. Li Ming was suffering from lymphatic tuberculosis. His family requested to bail him out for hospitalization, but the officials refused their request.
Practitioner Mr. Pang Jihai had rheumatic arthritis in one leg and often felt back pain. His eyesight deteriorated so drastically that he could not recognize his family members, even from a yard away.

Chengdu City government and police authorities have persecuted practitioner Ms. Zeng Qingfang from Mengyang Town, Pengzhou County, Chengdu City, during the last seven years. She was put into forced labor camps and brainwashing centers several times.
Personnel from the Mengyang Town 610 Office Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Zeng at another practitioner's home at 10:00 a.m. on August 28, 2006. She was put in the Chengdu City Brainwashing Center the next day and has been held there for over 28 days. The detailed information is unknown. Other practitioners arrested with her at the same time have been released.

22. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] A Practitioner Arrested for Distributing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party
Personnel from the Heping Road Police Station, who were patrolling in the Aite Shopping Mall, arrested a practitioner at the intersection of Heping Road and Zhonghua Street in Hengshui City. It happened at 4:00 p.m. on September 17, 2006, when the practitioner was distributing the the Nine Commentaries.
It is said policeman Wang Jun extorted 4,000 yuan from the practitioner's family and the released the practitioner at around 8:00 p.m.
23. [Chongqing] Practitioner Ms. Chen Qixiu Severely Persecuted; Chooses to Live in Exile
Practitioner Ms. Chen Qixiu, 54 years old, lives in Yuanyang Town in the Special Economic Zone of Chongqing. She clarified the truth of Falun Gong to a community office head and gave him a copy of the Nine Commentaries on September 23, 2006. But the head reported her to the town police station. Several policemen led by district police section chief Su Dehuai arrested her. She escaped from the police station at night with the power of her righteous thoughts. She has decided to live in exile to avoid further persecution.

Practitioner Mr. Li Jun, an employee of the Gansu Province People's Hospital, has been to Beijing to clarify the truth of Falun Gong several times. His family requested his release, but their request was denied.

It is reported that Ms. Xu Wenxiu has been released after ten days' illegal detention. Ms. Nie Zhongmei, Ms. Pi Kairong, and Ms. Li Zhiqun were sentenced to forced labor. Ms. Nie was sentenced to one year and nine months; Ms. Pi and Ms. Li to one year each.

Practitioners Mr. Zhang Chunbao, Mr. Yin Huajie, Ms. Gao Yan, Mr. Feng Wei, Ms. Ming Zhu, and Mr. Yue Bin from Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, went to the Beichuanqiangzu Autonomous County to distribute Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials the night of April 28, 2005. Police arrested them. Officials from the Beichuanqiangzu Prosecutor's Office and individuals at the Mianyang City Middle Court sentenced them to imprisonment on February 25, 2006.
Mr. Zhang Chunbao (born in 1972), Mr. Yin Huajie (born in 1965) and Mr. Gao Yan (born in 1970) were sentenced to eight years; Mr. Feng Wei (born in 1978), seven years and six month; Ms. Ming Zhu (born in 1974), five years; Mr. Yue Bin (born in 1965) three years but with five years probation.

33. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Practitioner Mr. Yang Xuegui Suffers from Torture in Lanzhou Prison
Mr. Yang Xuegui was transferred from a forced labor camp hospital to the Lanzhou City Prison to be "reformed" on July 5, 2006. He was locked in a room made from plastic foam. Police urged prisoners to brutally beat Mr. Yang. He was tortured so severely on one occasion that he could not move. After he went on a hunger strike lasting several days to protest the persecution, police sent him back to the hospital again on August 19, 2006. He was force-fed every day.

Policemen from the Lanzhou City National Security Division arrested Mr. Yu Youwen, over 40 years old, in September 2002. He was first held at the city No.1 Detention Center, where policeman Wang Yanfeng tortured him. Mr. Yu was eventually transferred to the Lanzhou City Prison.

36. [Liaoning Province] Persecution Cases in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Practitioner Ms. Xin Shuhua was held at the No. l Division of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Five policewomen including Zhang Xiurong, the No.3 Sub-team chief; Xiang Kuili; Zhao Jinghua, the No.2 Sub-team chief; Pan Yixi, the chief on duty; and Shi Yu beat Ms. Xin savagely on August 5, 2006. Ms. Xin's whole body was black and blue. She was later locked at a dark and damp room for three days.
Ms. Xin clarified the truth to policewoman Zhang Xiurong on August 25, 2006, but Zhang hated her. Zhang Xiurong; Pei Fan, the chief on duty; and Pan Yixi beat Ms. Xin Shuhua ruthlessly at night and then locked her in a small compartment for three days. The persecution is ongoing. Ms. Xin Shuhua is being deprived of sleep every night.
Su Jing, the No.2 Division chief of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, ordered a dozen rascals to beat practitioners. Policemen even work on Sundays to torture practitioners. Practitioners are presently forced to work over 12 hours a day.
