1. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Mr. Li Gang and Ms. Li He on Hunger Strike to Protest Illegal Detention
Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Li Gang and Mr. Li He, who were illegally arrested in Dongxianpo Township, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province were transferred from Zhuozhou National Security Division to a detention center on September 11, 2006. Li Gang and Li He have been on a hunger strike for fifteen days to protest the illegal detention.
It was learned that Li He was beaten until he was paralyzed. Officials from the Baoding National Security Division, the Zhuozhou National Security Division and from the Zhuozhou Detention Center have been force-feeding the two practitioners.

3. [Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Xiaoli and Her Husband Wen Jian Arrested and Their Home Ransacked - Belated information
Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Xiaoli, a retired worker from the Xincheng Chemical Factory in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province went to Beijing several times in 2000 to appeal. She was arrested and held at a detention center. Ms. Liu was sent to a detention center again on December 3, 2000, and on December 9 was transferred to the Baimalong Women’s Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City. She was handcuffed behind her back and also hung up and locked in a solitary confinement cell for persisting in her belief in Dafa.
She was transferred to the No. 2 Detention Center in Zhuzhou City on August 24, 2001. The guards force-fed her many times after she went on a hunger strike. The brutal force-feeding made her vomit blood. She was sent to the Zhuzhou County Detention Center and later sentenced to three years in prison. After her release she ran a small business but the police often harassed her.
Officers from the Hejiatu Police Department, the Lusong Branch of the Zhuzhou City Police Department broke into Liu Xiaoli’s home in the middle of the night on June 27, 2006. They arrested Liu Xiaoli and her husband Wen Jian, also a Dafa practitioner. They ransacked the home and sent Liu Xiaoli and Wen Jian to the Baimalong Women’s Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou and to the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha one month later.
Mr. Wen Jian has been persecuted many times for persisting in Dafa practice. He was arrested again eight months after his 2005 release from the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp. Many other Dafa practitioners in Zhuzhou were arrested. Their current circumstances are unknown.

4. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Persecution of Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Shulian
Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Shulian from the Ningcheng County Party School in Chifeng City was arrested in February 2006. Participating in the arrest were officers from Ningcheng County National Security Division. She was taken to the county detention center where she was held for one month. Ms. Wang was then sentenced to two years of forced labor, to be served outside the labor camp.
Officials from the Chifeng City and Ningcheng County 610 Offices again tried to brainwash Wang Shulian on August 9, 2006 but she refused. 610 Office county head Yu Xiubin arrested Wang Shulian on September 14, 2006, and tried to send her to the Chifeng 610 Office brainwashing class. Trying to escape, Wang Shulian jumped from the fourth floor and suffered numerous fractures. She was sent to the Ningcheng County Hospital.
5. [Beijing] Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wang Hongwei Arrested and Whereabouts Unknown
Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Hongwei from Tongzhou, Beijing was arrested in front of his home on the morning of September 22, 2006. Wang Hongwei’s mother was also arrested from home at the same time. His mother was released later that night, but Wang Hongwei’s current whereabouts are unknown.
6. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhao Jucai Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison
Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Jucai from Yidu City, the Yichang area, Hubei Province was arrested at his home in March 2006. Participating in the arrest were officials from the Yidu City 610 Office, National Security agents and officers from the Honghuatao Police Department. He has been held at the No. 1 Detention Center inYidu City. Officials at the Yidu City Court and at the Yichang City Intermediate Court sentenced Mr. Zhao to seven years in prison on August 31, 2006.
It was learned that Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Jucai is currently suffering from swelling and soreness throughout his body. He vomits whatever he eats and cannot take care of himself. He is receiving IV infusions. Zhao Jucai strongly requested medical parole, but the city 610 Office, agents from the National Security Division, and the prison authorities refused.

8. [Beijing] Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liu Xiaowei Arrested
Shijingshan police arrested Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Xiaowei from Shijingshan, Beijing on September 7, 2006. He is now being held at the Shijingshan District Detention Center.
Dafa practitioner Mr. Tang You and an elderly practitioner who live in the Military Zone were also arrested that same day.
9. [Beijing] More Information on the Persecution of Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Zhimei, a Student at Tsinghua University - Older information from 2001 and 2002
Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Zhimei, from Shandong Province, was a freshman in the Chemistry Department of Tsinghua University. She was granted admission to Tsinghua University for her outstanding performance and well-roundedness. Liu Zhimei was expelled from school after the Communist Party began persecuting Falun Gong, because she refused to give up her belief in Falun Dafa.
Liu Zhimei was arrested in 2001 while transporting Dafa materials. She was locked up at the Fengtai Detention Center in Beijing. The guards put the leg of a chair on Liu Zhimei’s foot. One guard sat on the chair and ground the wooden chair leg into Liu Zhimei’s foot. They also hit her with an object, leading to her being crippled for two months afterwards.
Liu Zhimei was transferred to Division 7 of the Beijing Detention Center. The guards blindfolded her and took her to a secret location during interrogation. They locked her into a two meter by one meter (6.6 by 3.3 ft.) room and tortured her there for two months. She was only 20 years old.
In November 2002, officials at the Haiding District Court in Beijing sentenced Liu Zhimei to twelve years in prison and transferred her to the Shandong Women’s Prison, to be further persecuted.
