(Clearwisdom.net) Because of persecution by local CCP (Chinese Communist Party) officials, I was forced to leave my home in 2001. Because I had a strong attachment to fear, I had always validated the Fa in a completely enclosed environment. In May 2004, I again started to face society and crowds and felt very uncomfortable. I felt that I should break through many of my notions and not follow the arrangements of the old forces. I decided to clarify the truth to people face to face. That way, I could answer the person's questions on the spot as well as solve the issue of the truth clarification material shortage.
The first time I clarified the truth face to face was on a rainy afternoon. There were only a few vendors at the market. I walked over, did not discuss the price, nor was I picky. I filled up a whole bag of vegetables. As I was paying, I said with a strained voice, "Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Believe this and you will have good fortune." After that I picked up the vegetables and walked away quickly. Although I was nervous, I still felt I had taken a step forward.
After correcting my internal notions and emotions, slowly, the sixth time I clarified the truth face to face, I could talk to the person peacefully and normally. I learned from my experiences and overcame my bad temper, mentality of lecturing, hatred towards the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and fighting mentality. In one and a half years of continuous face to face truth clarification, many people learned the truth about Falun Gong and withdrew from the CCP. I personally experienced the wisdom given by our Teacher when validating the Fa. When my heart is pure, one person might withdraw within two to three minutes, and sometimes within a few hours, 20 to 30 people withdraw. Below are my experiences:
Overcoming Laziness and Continuing Forward
Summers are hot and I always feel sleepy at mid-day. Winters are windy and cold and I very much want to stay indoors. However, once I remembered my responsibilities and that so many sentient beings are waiting, I would become energized and ride my bicycle out. As soon as I would go out and start clarifying the truth, all of my laziness and attachments would disappear. The more I clarify the truth, the happier I become and the more sincere and kind I become. The more righteous my thoughts, the more easily people are moved and accept what I have to say.
When Clarifying the Truth, We Must Hold a Pure and Kind Heart that Is Truly for the Good of Others
Once, I was riding my bicycle and I passed a man working on the road. I thought that it was a good opportunity and rode back and talked to him. I said, "People's lives are not good these days. Look at you working so hard, but your wage for a year may not be as much as the authorities pay for one meal." He agreed. I continued, "Why are there so many natural disasters? This is because people no longer have moral standards and that's why bird and pig's diseases have even passed on to humankind." He said, "Yes, that's true."
I continued, "We are good people, so it is no problems for us. Quickly withdraw from the evil CCP and its affiliated organizations and you will be safe." I also told him about the miracle rock in Guizhou Province that has the characters "CCP dies" mysteriously carved into it and other heavenly signs to persuade him to quickly withdraw. He said, "I never liked those CCP things so I have never joined the party." "What about your children?" I asked. He said, "At school they all wear the red scarf, but it is not really considered to be any kind of organization." I said with the purest kindness in my heart, "That is still counted, because you have made an oath, so the evil will interfere with you. If one uses an alias to withdraw, it is safe and one will not lose anything. In the future, when disaster comes you can get through it safely. Can I pick an alias for your children?" He quickly agreed. I told him that when he goes home, he must tell his children and let them understand the reason for withdrawing. He was very excited and said, "I will definitely tell them. This is all for our own good. Thank you very much."
If there are times when things did not go as planned, I would immediately look within myself. The reason things go wrong is not because I cannot speak well, it is usually caused by my mentality. I must maintain a heart that is always for the goodness of others and not miss any opportunity. We do not need to say too much. Only a few main points can move the persons and make them agree. Furthermore, they will truly be appreciative from the bottom of their hearts.
Do Not Give Up When Faced with Hardships
Most of the time, I talked mainly to small business owners, workers from the country side, mechanics, street cleaners or elderly people. A few days ago, I happened to meet two students wearing the red scarf. When I talked to them, they easily accepted what I was saying. I then started to talk to students on their way to or from school. Some children even pulled off their scarves after listening to me. It wasn't as hard as I originally had thought. Some children also asked their friends to come and listen to me. I told them that if their school forces them to wear the red scarves, then just wear them. But when they are making oaths under the red flag, I asked them to silently recite "Truthfulness- Compassion- Forbearance is good. Falun Dafa is good." Most children agreed. I also asked them to tell their other friends about this and withdraw from the young CCP group.
Once, as I was talking to a young girl, two policemen came and overheard our conversation. They aggressively looked at me and asked, "Are you in the same family?" I held onto the child's shoulder and walked away slowly. During that time, many practitioners thought things were a bit tight and suggested that we wait a few days before going out again. I thought, "The goal of the evil CCP is to threaten and frighten people. So I must continue to go out and talk to people. As long as I can save one, I will." I understood that I must choose the right locations. I chose places where there are less people or at small vending stalls. That day, 14 people withdrew. The day was very cold, but I had a warm feeling inside. When talking to adults, I try to just talk to one or two people at the same time. This way, it is not only safer, but also makes the other person more at ease and more likely to listen.
